Great place for appetizers and cocktails. The entrees are good too and nice for a change of flavors I love the atmosphere and location.

Great food, great service and friendly staff. This place improves everytime I dine here. The atmosphere has a sophisticated bistro feel to it. I personally love french food, but I especially love the North African influence on french food this restaurant offers on the menu. The food is well prepared and always seem fresh. My favorite appetizer are the fried olives and the crab cake. Creg the owner is usually present and always have a welcoming appreciation for the patrons dinning. They have a nice bar to socialize or just enjoy some apps and a cocktail.

The food was good but the service was inconsistent and awkward. I had the 15-minute fish stew and would recommend it if you like a lot of mussels. I liked the variety of wine on tap and the chocolate mousse was lovely.

We are having an excellent meal at Tagine. I am picky, a former chef. We had the price fixed menu for restaurant week appear in the Hudson Valley. We both had the escargot for apps and I had the lamb shank for an entrée and my wife had the wild COD Tagine. The entrées were both phenomenal. Not a single complaint. The broth on the cod tell Jean was unparalleled. Great couscous and excellent service.

This place was so accommodating. We had a toddler and an infant in our party and they made whatever accommodations they could to take care of our needs. The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. A little pricey but overall a wonderful experience. Very happy we stopped in.

Stopped in for drinks on the way to the Blaze. Incentive cocktails, charming big bar and friendly staff. The owner even gave us a ride when we couldn’t catch a cab!

AsPer my SIsINLaw Coll: Food was great. So flavorful and perfectly spiced. Steak melted in your mouth. Service was attentive and friendly and knowledgable. Excellent at Germaine cocktail. Reminded me of a great brasserie we visited in Paris.

I haven’t ever been here. But I’ve tried twice to eat here when they are supposed to be open and they have been closed. Beyond frustrating! If you are listed to be open, how dare a restaurant be closed and expect people to dine there ever again. I’m done trying.

We are locals and enjoy the upscale ambiance — in our little village of eight thousand residents. The food is terrific and mostly heavy if you like heavy foods — nothing for kids so don’t even bother trying. We bring our kids anyway but they only eat the bread. Service is ok – there seems to be a new bartender, chef and wait staff every time we go – not good for groups as the staff is not equipped to handle — your group would be frustrated and disappointed but good for table for 1 to 8 max in my humble opinion. I know the owner is a serious restauranteur and is usually there to make sure every thing goes well. Drinks are great — good selection of wine and beer and have medium level cocktails. This is a great place to go on the fly when out shopping or after a meeting but be sure to make a reservation for Fri or Sat night.

Charles W. I have to ECHO your review, funny I had the duck and my wife had the scallops, both were awesome, this was also our second time back and we are going yet again tonight with friends. I was sure the duck had been dunked in the friolator and when I spoke with Craig the owner after dinner he assured me it WASNOT and he explained the process they go through to get the duck so crispy… c’est formidable ! ! I’m a duck aficionado and this is about the best I’ve had. Nice selection of wines and super nice server(Caroline was awesome) Last time I was there I also has escargot and they were wonderful, with a crusty french bread to mop up all that yummy sauce. I can’t wait till this evening, I had a light lunch so I can really enjoy the meal.

I was back again last night! WOW! I had the half duck and my friend had the scallops!!! The Duck was just perfect!!! It was boneless, the skin was like a potato chip but the meat was just juicy and very flavorful from the fat. The meal was just perfect! If you have never been here. Please go! You will not be disappointed!!! I should ad that I had the mussel appetizer. I had to ask for more bread to soak up the sauce it was in! Tagine is an incredible restaurant that is hidden in Westchester. Just saying that it’s incredible does not give this restaurant justice! The food is just that good! I don’t know the owner. I don’t know the Chef or staff. I just know that this is one of the best if not the best restaurant in all of Westchester. I live in Peekskill and work in Tarrytown. I try to go to every restaurant, diner or hole in the wall to try the food. If I had to tell my best friend where to go on a date. Tagine is number one on my list. If you have never been, you must go!

I wanted to leave a higher review. Menu look great, enjoyed the service, and great location. Execution on the meal was«ho-hum.» Not bad, just okay. The lamb tagine was under seasoned and the brothe was too watery. I’ll give it one more try, but have been an off night.

Very disappointed with this restaurant. I made an online reservation for four adults at 6pm this past Saturday. Our family was informally celebrating both of our daughters being home from college for summer. First, they were out of our first choice of beer on the menu. They are very stingy with the tiny morsel or bread that is placed in front of each of us. We had to ask twice for a second serving of bread. When the food finally arrived, the moroccan chicken was undercooked and fatty. My daughter’s vegetarian tagine dish was very bland and tasted like old frozen vegetables. My husband was disappointed with his fish dish, as it was not fresh! Our waiter was pushing drinks, which was annoying. The escargot was decent, but I have had much better. Way too pricey for such mediocre meals. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to Tagine.

Excellent meal for a special occasion This place is where you need to bring that special someone. The service was a bit slow. But the food was worth the wait.

They have an awesome vegan dish that the owner/cook adjusted to my taste. I was there with a meat eater who thought the food was amazing! While we sat at the bar and had an after dinner drink the owner went out and bought my boyfriend cigarets. It was not just eating dinner. They gave us a beautiful romantic night.

We went to Tagine for Hudson Valley Restaurant Week. It was a drizzly Tuesday evening so there were only about 4 or 5 other tables taken so I can’t relate to some of the comments about bad seating. It is not a huge restaurant and they do have lots of tables but it seemed to me that they were spaced well. The Restaurant Week Menu has a nice selection the portions are generous so you are certainly getting your money’s worth. We had the Country Pork Pâté, the Escargot, the Short Ribs, the Lamb Tagine, an Almond Cake and a Chocolate & Hazelnut Mousse. All were delicious. I also browsed their regular menu which has a lot of interesting items so I definitely want to go back. What I liked — The bread is wonderful and warm… The plates on the wall… Fresh flower on each table… The attentive waiter & busser. The food is delicious. Would I go back? Yes… Not for a «Special Occasion» because I prefer more of a formal atmosphere for a French Restaurant but certainly would go back for a night when we want to go out for a good meal at a local spot but don’t want the same old same old boring chicken Marsala, etc…

Dinner here this past weekend was great, and the service was exceptional. My girlfriend and I stopped in at the recommendation of a couple others guest that were staying at the local B&B,(Alexander Hamilton House — amazing place, and the epitome of what B&B’s are all about) and we were certainly not disappointed. The food was delicious, even though it took a while to get to our table. There was a backup in the kitchen, but our waiter, John, was super nice and apologetic. He even bought us a round of drinks, and recommended a great pairing to go with my filet of sole. I was going to go with four stars because of the wait, but our waiter brought the experience back up to a 5! Well done John, and kudos to the chef for making two delicious meals.

I have eaten here four times, three with my spouse and once with a work colleague. Maybe it is because today is Valentine’s Day, but we had a very disappointing dinner this evening. Over a week ago, I made reservations for a table for two at 6 pm. We arrived just before six tonight, and the hostess thought we had a reservation for a table for four. She left us in the entry hall while she and a waiter pulled a table slightly(maybe five inches) to the left to turn a table for four into two tables for two. The problem was, I had no way to get seated, between the miniscule space remaining between the tables and the half wall on the other side of our table. I wound up having to pull the table out to wedge my way in, and my husband then pushed the table back toward me. The hostess remarked seating was tight tonight to make room for more diners. There comes a point perhaps an extra table should NOT be squeezed in, and that happened to be the table where we were seated. I must add that we noticed empty tables throughout the dining area – tables that remained empty the entire 80 minutes we were at the restaurant. As for our meal… the restaurant was out of my first choice of beer, but the Kronenbourg 1664 was acceptable. We ordered the mezze platter appetizer, which was tasty. Unfortunately, our server asked if we wanted more pita bread. We should have said no, for we waited a long, long time for it to arrive. While waiting, two people other than our server asked if we wanted the remaining hummus cleared, and then our entrees arrived, meaning we had to grab the small dish with the hummus and have the main appetizer plate and side dishes cleared to make way for our meals. Then, at long last, we received the extra pita bread. I noticed my scallops were tepid. They were opaque and not translucent, so I believe they were cooked enough, but they definitely weren’t at 120 degrees. Also, the accompanying rice tasted a bit off – my husband took a bit to confirm it wasn’t just me. At least my husband enjoyed his lamb shank with polenta. The green beans that came with his entrée were wonderful – cooked just right, with a bit of snap left to them. Throughout our meal, I was continually aware that the menus were in a bin attached on the opposite side of the half wall to my left, since the hostess was pulling menus out or putting them back in. I also had a clear view of the kitchen entry. At one point, a man set his two«doggy bags» down on wood ledge on top of the half wall, right by my head! My husband said, «Thanks, a**hole,» to the jerk. Since the coat rack was on the wall opposite the half wall by our table, I guess the guy though the ledge was a convenient place to stack his to-go containers. At another point, the hostess dropped menus at my feet. Basically, I felt like I was seated in the hostess station! We wound up skipping dessert and just having coffee. I was eager to leave, by this point, what with conversations going on between the wait staff directly beside our table. On the way out, my husband told the hostess the food was OK but the seating was terrible. She told us she’d let the owners know… No apologies rendered. What a disappointing experience. I don’t think we’ll be back again.
