*sigh* Savers. It’s a love/hate relationship with you, but I still keep coming back. Here’s why. I think the selection, organization, and general size of the store can’t be beat. It’s bright, mostly clean, and the clothes are very well organized and easy to look through. Here’s why I don’t like Savers. The prices are marked well above your average thrift fare. If the person pricing senses the item is ‘unique’ or valuable– expect the price to reflect that(same goes for name brand clothing). While this hasn’t hindered me from shopping there, it has stopped me from purchasing things I’ve found before.(Pro tip– If you donate to Savers– you get discount coupons.) Lastly– I cringe every time I have to head to the checkout. The employees(or lack thereof) at the check out counter are awful– awful attitudes, awful customer service skills. Example– one time I came up to the only cashier at the front– who then informed me she was closed… luckily some crab dragged his feet over from the dressing room and did me the favor of opening his register and checking me out. What a saint, huh? So there you have it folks, love/hate. Shop frugally, my friends.

From what I have seen all of the stuff. ALL of the stuff there is broken or missing parts and they don’t seem to care. Also over priced for all of there broken stuff. Employees not very nice or helpful either. Just a place to waste time.

I love this thrift store! Its massive, clean(mostly) and has everything you might be looking for. The prices are a bit higher than some other thrift stores but when you find nice things, its a steal! unless you go on a day that certain things are 30,40,50% off, then its even better! Usually very friendly employees, and lots of dressing rooms for a short wait time.

I think it completely depends on what you buy here, if you think it’s overpriced. The clothes are all very reasonably priced, and I’ve found a bunch of very good brands(in good condition) for low prices. The furniture(although some is in terrible condition) is also very nicely priced. $ 12 for a filing cabinet, and I’ve purchased some toys as well. It is well organized, bright and sure some of the stuff is not clean, but a lot of resale stores this size will have some useless dirty merchandise. The staff have all been friendly or at least courteous. I don’t buy knick knacks so I can’t comment on the other reviewers beliefs that everything is overpriced. I plan to stop by here every so often for clothes, toys or furniture.

Basically, you are walking into a gigantic garage sale. A bunch of other people’s stuff that they first thought about throwing away. I took a shower right when I got home. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty.

Generally speaking I like Savers. Nice bright store, clean. Today it seemed that their tchotchkes aka knick knacks were sparse. Just love that word. It is so fun to say(Ch ahch keys). Three people came in and like this large rooster knick knack. Not my taste but had it been, I might have paid $ 10 or $ 12 top. It was $ 15. I think they would have bought it had it been cheaper. For the most, I buy things at Savers that I do not need. For instance, I may have enough scarves. If I see one I like at a cheap price, I have to get it and throw a different thrift store scarf out. I have been told I like change. I ended up getting 2DVD’s @ 2.99 each, 1CD @ 99 cents and 1 book at $ 2 I think. On some things their prices are higher than Goodwill or Salvation Army. Thing is if SA or GW do not have it? On the plus side for us, they do have fitting rooms. Sometimes a down side for them as then I do not get it if it does not fit.

I think there is a team of blind, retarded monkeys pricing most of saver’s stuff. Occasionally, you may find a good deal in clothes. But rarely anywhere else in the store. Today, for example, I saw a package of plastic serving spoons with the Dollar Tree tag on the front reading $ 1… Saver’s price, $ 2.99. A plastic bag filled with maybe 30 pokemon cards on the toy wall $ 14.99. Often you see things on the shelves at this Saver’s that are priced higher than when the items were new. Music CD’s are $ 2.99 here. They are $ 1 or less at three other thrift/resale stores within 2 miles of here. The cash registers always seem to be understaffed, especially later in the evenings. The tattooed and pierced teenage employees seem more interested in talking with their friends who come in to visit them at work than actually making this a decent store. There are usually non-English speaking children running wild in the store, riding big wheels, bicycles, tricycles and playing in the toy aisle with no parental supervision. This is almost a nightly occurrence. If it was not for the occasional 50% sales, there would be no reason whatsoever to shop here.

Think prices are too high for a re-sale store. Staff is helpful.

I have been to Savers about 4 times and I have never bought anything there. It seems to me more like junk than quality used products. And there prices seem a little high for what they are selling.

The Wal-Mart of resale! So much stuff… dear lord! Put your shopping pants on because this place is huge and you will get sucked into other departments that usually do NOT interest you. Good Luck and God Speed!
