I’m new to the area and decided to try a new eyebrow place. I went to get my eyebrows tinted and threaded. I should have known that getting my eyebrows done in Walmart wouldn’t work out well, but sometimes I like living on the edge. Guys… She left me with thin 90’s-esque preteen tweezer crazy eyebrows. I specifically told her I just wanted them shaped and not overdone and she acted like she knew what I meant. She finished one eyebrow and I had to hold back my tears. I told her I didn’t like it and she promised to do the other one better. Ok… So one eyebrow was thicker and unshapely and one eyebrow was pencil thin. I told her just match them(making the other thicker one as thin as the pencil thin one). The experience was horrible. And the tinting was not visible at all. On top of that when it came time to pay the screen automatically asks me if I want to leave a 30% tip, 40% tip or 50% tip… What?! She must really think highly of herself to think she automatically deserves THAT kind of tip for THIS kind of service. Did I mention she’s standing behind me watching the screen as I’m paying? Weird. Anyway just don’t go here. Go to a professional.

Absolute worst experience ever. I have been going to this location for 3years now to get my eyebrows done and today the lady screwed up my eyebrows completely. She very nice through the experience until I came back after I looked in my sun visor mirror where I saw that my eyebrow was a quarter of an inch shorter than the other. She did not want to fix it when I returned and would not refund my money. Worst experience ever.

I went here to get my eyebrows threaded and get lash extensions. The girl threaded my eyebrows and did an OK job. I got the lashes put on Friday evening and by Saturday morning nearly all of the lashes had fallen off. I called the place and to ask them how long the lashes generally last and they told me 6 – 8 weeks, when I explained that mine hadn’t even lasted 24 hours, they stated once you leave their store they aren’t responsible for how long they last. When I asked to speak with a manager the woman on the phone stated she was the manager and then proceeded to hang up the phone on me. I’ve never«reviewed» any place on Unilocal before but I thought that the unprofessionalism and poor quality of service needed to be known before people waste their money on the eyelash extensions. I may have gone back at some point to possibly get my eyebrows threaded again because of the convenience of the location, but now knowing how unprofessional the“management«is, I will no longer waste my money here.

This was a rip off my a clump of my eyelashes fell out less than 24 hours after getting them put on. I went to the store to see if I could have a store credit and come back because they didn’t have time and I was told no. I didn’t rub them or do anything that would have made them fall off. The management of the store must not consider the big picture and how much business they would have gotten from me over time. They just kept telling it was me it was my fault.

I went to get eyelash extensions primarily. I thought for the price, why not try it out? What I got was EVENT lashes. It is not like the other services I had found. They just put your fake lashes on for you. Similar to a package you can get at Ulta. I gave it a try because I thought perhaps maybe this would be nice regardless. It looked great when I walked out! I was super excited! When I woke up this morning three of the clusters fell off. No one beyond myself even got to see them. Eyelash extensions are supposed to last 6 – 8 weeks(with fills recommended at 3 weeks.) Mine didn’t even last a day. I had researched how to have them last before I even go t the service done so I would be careful not to mess anything up. I wasn’t wearing make-up and I didn’t even use any face wash to clean may face and was very gentle since I was nervous to have them. So please be aware before buying. THATBEINGSAID, for an event they would be fantastic. They wouldn’t move and look great(weddings, parties, etc.) The staff was so super nice and my eyebrows look great. That’s why I still gave three stars.

Been going here over 2 years to get my eyebrows done. Always fast service and customer service is always great. Only thing I can suggest needs work is to replace the 2 seats by the entrance. Others really appreciate the threading skill and glad its close by my house. Oct 2014 — The front seats have been replaced. Thanks, good to see a company listen to customer feedback.

I love to come here and get my eyebrows done — you would think a place in WalMart has to be sketchy… but oh no, its the best.(I actually just found a place in Meijer in Bloomingdale that is just as good, review pending, hehe) My friend introduced me to this place back in 2011(have no idea why I never wrote a review)… when she comes to visit me in Schaumburg she takes 31 and will stop here on her way cause they are so fast. So I do the same, if I am heading to McHenry I will stop in Seva and get my eyebrows threaded. I was once with my husband and he was all puffy about being late to a dinner and I kept on re-assuring him… «once you find a spot to park I will be done» and nonetheless that is totally what happened and he was floored. Every rep has been super nice and never once have I been in a ton of pain. The price is always reasonable, I think somewhere around $ 7? Just an all-around great place.

Imagine that, not a male Unilocaler in sight. It’s all good, because I’m man enough to admit when I need help. Actually, I admitted needing help around my junior-senior year in high school. I wasn’t born with the perfectly sculpted brows of Adonis. I noticed my eyebrows were thicker than I felt like they should have been and wasn’t too sure what to do about it. Actually, I’d known since I was younger, when my nickname was Isaiah Thomas, and not in relation to my point guard skills. I just repressed those memories until then. Luckily for me, I had a friend who had a Masters in Eyebrow Management and she told me,“You should totally get your eyebrows threaded. They’ll look hecka good on you, with a little arch…“ Yada, yada, yada. What the hell are you talking about? I was given an address and a person to see and it was like a secret meeting between two spies. Needless to say, I found eyebrow threading a requirement for daily life in the real world, so as not to accidentally catch low-flying planes and small children in my eyebrows. Maybe I’m not Eugene Levy, but they’re enough to make me care. My patronage to that threading business in Chicago lasted until they closed, for about 10 years. I went there even after I moved away from Chicago. Since then, I haven’t had much luck in recreating the level of service and expertise that I sought after. A lot of places, including Seva itself, are guilty of rushing through the work in order to get the next one in the chair. So for a year, I eschewed all threading services and tweezed and plucked at home. The photos from that year tell a sad tale of misery and frustration. Couldn’t take it anymore. So I started going to Seva again. The service was hit or miss. One day I brought an old picture of myself and the hope that I’d get someone who cared. Prayers were answered that day and I received Mixu, whose name is actually on the business card. Even with a line running out of WalMart’s door, she took the time to recreate exactly what I wanted, even having me sit up so she could take a look in the mirror to make sure things were going swimmingly and symmetrically. I have to say, she did an awesome job in reshaping my eyebrows to where they looked more natural. So if your brows are in need of work, do yourself a favor and call ahead… 630.479.5310. Ask for Mixu(pronounced Mee-shoo). You won’t be disappointed. I guarantee it.

I used to come here until my biggest germ fear unfolded in front of my eyes. I know threading is probably the cleanest way to have you eyebrows done but when you have one of the employees leave the front to go throw up in the back room and not even wash her hands or rinse out her mouth is inexcusable. I have never been more disgusted than I was two weeks ago. It kind of makes you wonder how often these women really wash their hands. They have lost my business and will be letting my family members who go here about this. If you like having germy hands close to your face then continue to go here if not then I really hope you find a new great place to get your eyebrows done.

I just checked out seva for my eyebrows but it was a good experience. I admit I was a lil worried when I saw the location in the store but it actualy worked out. i was able to do some shopping with my new eyebrows! i liked the décor and that they did my brows how i wanted. i like them thicker and they did not try to convince me otherwise. i liked the diversity of the patrons and the staff was very nice. i def will be going back.
