I’m updating my review from last year. We always go here! Food has been consistently good! Steak sandwich on Mondays is great and so is Wing night! Buffalo chicken wrap is good choice as well as the blue gill on Friday. No real wine… but it’s a neighborhood bar. Adults at bar can be a little raucous and sometimes their music selection during dinner. Otherwise a consistently good choice at this point.

I love the food. But the bartenders let the patrons behave like trailer trash. It totally made everyone uncomfortable but they let it continue.

Last time for me. Fish fry was not good. They charge $ 1,00 to sit down, $ 2.00 for take out and I tipped $ 3.00. Bottle of XX equis $ 4.00. One extra cup of clam chowder $ 2,50 and I got out of there for $ 23.46 for one not so good fish fry with bad tatter tots(out of potato pancakes).

We love this place. Our new server Tyler was delightful. We come for the burger, fries and beer. Very home style atmosphere. Casual dress. Patio :) and kids are welcome. However when the sun goes down the adults come out to play :)

I went to this place upon the recommendation of the friends I was traveling with. They ate here and loved it, and brought me the next day for round two. I ordered deep fried pickles as an app, it’s typical bar food. They were good, and so was my rueben sandwich. The corned beef was delicious and house made. The server was awesome, very friendly as well. I had a great lunch.

The place looked promising. It was busy(which is usually a good sign). Unfortunately, it was one of the worst pub experiences I had. I ordered a chicken wrap but the cook must have ran out. I counted four, small, pieces of chicken in the entire wrap. I basically was just eating lettuce. The service was slow. I think they were under staffed because(in fairness) she appeared busy. My daughter hated the chicken fingers. My mom was content with the fish fry but found the potato pancakes oddly flavored. All in all, we will not be returning.

Best Fried chicken I ever had. Light juicy and the breading is so good I want to almost eat the bone !

This is my first review and I wish it could have been a positive one. It is not but it is truthful. My friends and I went to Lakeside this past Friday for a fish fry on my recommendation. I have eaten there over the past year or so and had really great meals and service. There were 6 of us dining and not many other parties eating, so It wasn’t an overwhelming crowd. Our gang trickled in, with the last 3 waiting almost 20 minutes to get their tap beer. My, on the rocks martini wasn’t made correctly but I can handle dismantling a lemon wedge and asking for my olives. Really not that big of a deal. I ordered the cod fry with potato pancakes, the others ordered baked and the perch. One of my big pet peeves is orders trickling out at vastly different times, leaving the hungry people with food in front of them guiltily stealing bites. This occured. My salad had a beat up cucumber and some seriously bruised lettuce but it was edible. Just not fresh. My cod was fried in a style of almost broasted chicken… sort of a hard shell around the fish. It was a little overcooked but came out hot. My potato pancakes are a different story. It tasted like sweet pancake batter with some hash browns added on top. They were also cold. The rye bread was dry around the edges. Now, for the rest of the group. Cold french fries, rubbery baked cod, mixed up orders and sad faces. The vodka still made me smile but I will never eat there again.

First, this review is for their fish fry. I read other reviews about the burgers that seem decent. We had a group of 6 and after we ate I asked what rating they would give to the place. The debate was between one and two stars and the response for one star was overwhelming. I don’t give one star ratings lightly. Let me explain why this place only gets one star: — Service was slow(15+ minutes for a tap beer) and incorrect(1⁄3 of us did not get what we ordered) — Baked cod(both of the orders) was cold in the middle and crisp on the outside — mentioned it to the server but she really didn’t seem to care. I don’t know how you accomplish cold and crisp baked cod. — Asked for a recommendation for a side dish and was told fries. Fries came out undercooked, cold and limp. Asked for a fresh batch and they were almost overdone. — Potato pancake consisted of batter with a few flecks of potato — Rye bread had been sitting out and the edges were hard — Cod was cooked correctly but the breading was devoid of any flavor — The perch wasn’t fishy but the breading was better than the cod but not stellar — The clam chowder was watery and flavorless but at least it had chunks of clam — The salads were all iceberg lettuce with spoiled cucumbers that everyone threw away — My friend ordered a simple martini and she had to go to the bar to explain how to make it. — The good part of the fish fry was the coleslaw and the tater tots(which I dare you to screw up) $ 10 is a cheap fish fry and now I understand why the pricing is so reasonable. $ 2 taps of Miller Lite isn’t bad either… they kept bragging about their clean tap lines. I just wish they would put that type of effort into their fish fry. It sounds like the place changed hands recently which I don’t know if this is a good or bad thing because this was my first experience here. I definitely won’t be back for the fish fry but there is a small chance I might be coaxed back to try the burgers.

We had a Groupon but didn’t need one because it was ½ price build your own burgers on Thursday. I had a burger with ranch Siracha sauce and fried onions. The portions were huge and the fries fresh cut. I didn’t need to eat dinner that night. I was still stuffed. We were the only diners for lunch. We will return.

Burger is solid! I got a plain cheeseburger and it was good. The beef patty was exactly what a burger should taste like! It was no less than ¼ lb patty and was cooked to perfection! Buttered bun two slices of cheese juicy and pink center for a medium rare! Clean place, cold glass of beer, big TVs, and the staff was fun and attentive. A little eye contact and a nod was all I needed.

Very friendly place. The place is loud, but we were able to sit in a secluded area away from the noise. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. The food was well above usual Pub standards. We had tacos, a patty melt, and the fried chicken. All were really good. Prices were very reasonable and I would definitely come here again.

Thanks, Lakeside, for your recent improvements! The atmosphere is much improved and we had a great time here this weekend. Food is still excellent, staff is lots of fun, and it’s hands-down our favorite bar in Cudahy. Looking forward to trying the Fall Specialty drinks — they sound awesome :)

Lakeside Pub & Grill is turning out to be a great spot for casual food close to home. Items are made in-house and above average quality for«bar food». Trying a burger tonight. There are many low cal options but they will make to order.

This place will surprise you. I took my family on a Saturday evening with expectations of a good burger. We walked into what looked like a nice neighborhood tavern with tables near the back. We found our seat and were greeted warmly. Our server was friendly, informative and helpful. We ordered various menu items; first being the homemade chips. This is my wheelhouse as I have made chips both at home and in a professional kitchen. These chips rock. Sliced to a perfect thinness so they got wonderfully crispy. The burger. Outstanding toasted bun. High quality beef. The temp was ordered medium rare. It came out medium to medium well. This is NOT the fault of the chef. It’s mine. I stupidly ordered my son’s well done. Dumb on my part. Can’t let medium rare sit. It was delicious. Wifey gave the thumbs up on the buffalo chicken and older son the thumbs up on the BLA(bacon, lettuce, avocado) which was the special. Homemade fries… solid as well. The cost is super reasonable for a fine product. The atmosphere was lively in the bar and appears my three year old is now a Dio fan thanks to some patron playing the jukebox. I won’t hold that against the place ;) Looking for a great burger and a fun atmosphere? Do yourself a favor… try this place.

I have been wanting to try this place for some time now. Boy am I sorry I took so long. My wife and I went there on Saturday night not knowing what to expect. We saw a lot of items on the menu that we were considering when the waitress recommended the Saturday night fried chicken special. What a great bit of advice that was. The dinner is huge. It’s a half-chicken with choice of potato(we went with tater-tots) and coleslaw and rye bread for(Now get this) $ 6.95. The chicken is the best I’ve had in Milwaukee area by far. AND it’s a huge chicken. You need to try this place. We’ll see you there.
