My family, as well as my co-workers always enjoy Lala’s when we are eating in the Cudahy area. Lala makes you feel like family, and the food is good. I especially like the Juevos Con Chorizo, or the Chimichangas.

Delicious food prepared in house and fast. Nice crispy chips and two kinds of salsa arrived soon after I sat down and my drink order taken right away. Well priced food and ample portions were served. Nice and friendly neighborhood restaurant that I hope to visit again when in town.

Our first stop after a trip to Phoenix where we expected amazing Mexican food and were continually let down. We always rate Mexican joints in three categories — chips and salsa, margs, and food. No category here gets less than a 4 from either of us and therefore it makes it one of the very best. We make the drive from Tosa for this gem.

Really bad service, food is just like any other mexican restaurant. The server gave me a really nasty attitude when we asked to split the check in the end… its not that hard and it doesnt justify the attitude. Will not go back there again

I would not have guessed the people running this place had anything to do with Conejito’s. Conejito’s never impressed me, much. This place does. Cheap Mexican eats in a very casual bar. No pretention, just good food. First, the chips and salsa. Wow! A place that has a salsa with some kick. That’s a bonus! I had the chicken mole. They managed to pull it off without getting that acrid, overworked, slightly burnt flavor that many moles in Wisconsin suffer from. That enough won me over. And the server my friends and had was super nice, too! A+

Went here for dinner last night and we were not disappointed. The food is authentic Mexican and incredibly delicious. LaLa herself is as sweet as can be and welcoming to everyone even if you aren’t a regular. I highly recommend everyone check this place out. It’s the perfect place to grab delicious Mexican food and it’s only 10 – 15 minutes outside of Milwaukee. Oh, and their margaritas are delicious. Will definitely be going back here. Friendly people, incredible food, and great prices. Don’t think twice about going to LaLa’s Place.

Solid 4 star’s, We went here with another couple who has frequented this place quite a few times, so i had high expectations… and i was not disappointed. The service was great, the prices were good and the place seemed to be pretty clean. I ordered the Steak taco dinner which was quite good, i also got 1 taco that was the«Al Pastor» as i’ve never had Al Pastor and it was good! much better than i thought it would be. I also got 1 chicken enchilada and that was good as well, my fiancé got the mini chicken chimichangas and really enjoyed them. Solid south side mexican food place. worth giving it a try!

For the price, LaLa’s is definitely worthwhile. I typically get the chicken chimichangas and those are delicious! I also love the salsas they serve with chips. May be too spicy for some but it’s right up my alley. The margaritas are definitely pre-mixed but still good. The rice and beans are spectacular(I reckon myself a beans and rice expert). I will say that the chicken tacos tend to be a little bland, but I have only had them once. It’s worth a try if you’re in the mood for Mexican!

Stopped in for a early dinner and sat right down. Chips and salsa are tasty. Staff is very nice and service is fast. I think the food has a simple great taste, which I believe is very traditional. I left with a full and happy tummy!’

I love this place and brought my girlfriend here for lunch today. We both know Lala from Conejito’s and were happy to see her today. She greets you like you are family. The plates here are huge! I couldn’t even finish my enchilada. I had the number one combo which also came with a taco and a tostada. We also ordered the fresh, not runny, guac and the bean dip served in a soup bowl with queso fresco. The plates are very inexpensive and the food is delicious! I also had a plain margarita on the rocks to go with my lunch. I think I converted my friend. This will be our new hang out. The prices are low and the food is the same or if not better as Conejtos. And it’s closer to me to boot. It’s right across from Patrick Cudahy. Give this place a try.

Glad we tried this place out,(despite all the negative reviews) because it was so worth it and now we have found a good Mexican place close to home. Paloma’s and beer are $ 4 and margaritas $ 3.50. I ordered a burrito special that had avocado, cilantro, and a pork/steak mix. My BF got the combo #2, which was a cheese and onion enchilada verde, a chicken mini chimi, and a tostada. Both came with rice and beans, all for $ 18.95! If you like a lil extra heat, ask for the hot sauce because they make their own and it’s fantastic!

Have heard really good things about LaLa’s for a while and sure glad we finally went to check it out for ourselves. Upon sitting down we received a basket of chips and chunky salsa and some green salsa as well! I don’t consider myself weak when it comes to salsa but me and my crew thought it was a little spicy. I ordered the steak burrito and it was very good. Steak was so tasty. The boyfriend ordered the combo enchiladas and raved about them. Beans and rice were average but good. My friends ordered the nachos and they looked awesome. Loved the homey feeling!!! Will definitely go back.

Sweetie… honey…sweetie.LaLa’s sure makes you feel like you are down south with all of the sugary greetings but trust me she does adore people so this makes LaLa’s even more special. Like a sitcom, LaLa’s and La Casa De Alberto are now better spin-offs from Conejito’s…there are no paper plates here! LaLa’s starts off with a basket of chips and two salsas… the pico is actually spicier than the green salsa but both have good flavor. I read other reviews about them«recycling» chips but I didn’t seem to notice any stale chips. The chips were your typical fare and were fresh. Our server was extremely attentive and told us her favorite was the al pastor followed by the steak. I tried two al pastor tacos and one steak with cilantro and onions on a corn tortilla. The al pastor was probably one of my favorites because it wasn’t too spicy or tangy… just right. The steak stood up to the test and was not tough and it had the right amount of seasoning. The rice had a slight acidic taste as if there was residual citrus that was put in it. It was okay but nothing that was extraordinary. The beans were above average but to be fair they do not compare to the«lardy» goodness of Conejito’s. Three soft shell tacos with rice and beans will run you around $ 7.75 which isn’t bad compared to other places plus the quality is MUCH better. A small margarita on the rocks is $ 3.50 but it is muy pequeno and doesn’t wallop a huge punch. I would look for other margarita options next time vs. the $ 3.50 deal. If you are on da South Side of town, LaLa’s is a definite must try. The menu isn’t large but the love from LaLa is huge!

I sometimes like to see if I can find a dive Mexican place that I really enjoy. 9 of 10 fail. I stopped at LaLa’s on the way to Layton Fruit Market. I decided to review this place because I do not want to only review the best and worst of everything. Here is what I liked… the prices, and the portion sizes. Sometimes I think that why people come to these places. The passed with flying colors in that department. I ordered a regular sized Burrito Suizo and could hardly finish it. It was exactly what I expected. Much like to ones from Conejito’s or Jaliscos. They had a large sized and that would only be necessary if you have an appetite like Cookie Monster from the hit PBS show Sesame Street. LaLa was there and she is certainly a peach of a gal. She was very friendly and new many of the patrons. Wonderful . My chips were stale. The tacos were served with two shells so I got a burrito. Salsa– nothing special. Décor was loaded with flags. Nothing I felt offended by. But you probably would have a hard time offending me with your décor. I thought they had a curiously interesting amount of Brett Favre memorabilia. I am indifferent to Mr. Favre at this point in my life. He brought me a lot of great memories, but paying for the Viqueens is unforgiveable. Now you might say to yourself… «Well Joe K., how do you feel about another #4, Paul Molitor? «I would say. «I have no beef and wish him the best.» I guess I have the same feeling for Mr. Favre right now. As I get older I have realized how forgiving is easier that holding a grudge. In conclusion to this 5 paragraph essay I will review these few things. First, it is kinda what you would expect it to be. Fair prices, decent prices, mediocre food, average décor. The owner is a very nice lady and if you wanna support someone nice, stop in. And lastly, everyone will do something great and not-so-great in their life. You can spend all you energy bringing people down, of just carry on. I would like to choose the latter. I wish the media would do the same sometimes.

About the only thing that was good were the margaritas. The chips were stale and there was some brownish green salsa/sauce that I’m not really sure what it was supposed to be. The standard salsa wasn’t bad, and it did come in handy later in the service. Mexican cuisine is supposed to be full of different spices and an explosion of flavor; neither of which happened with this meal. We had the chicken chimichanga’s with rice and beans. I didn’t know you could make chicken bland, but they did. I wouldn’t be surprised to find they boiled the chicken to rob it of its flavor, wrapped it up and dunked it in the deep fryer. That salsa I mentioned, I ended up dumping that over my chimi’s to provide some semblance of flavor. They forgot to add the Spanish to the rice as, quite honestly, it looked like food coloring was simply added to change white rice to a pale yellow. The beans… as unimpressive as the service. We sat drinking the melting ice from the aforementioned only bright spot, the margaritas. In short, we could have gone to Taco Bell and had more flavor. The Milwaukee area is awash in excellent Mexican restaurants and how this place will survive with that competition is beyond me.
