I have purchased several bikes over the years from Werner’s. The staff are always very helpful, you can take your bike here for repairs at a reasonable price. I also enjoy the collection of outdoor gear.

I love Werner’s. It’s always a treat to pop in on my way to or from Hartselle when I go visit my family, or as a side excursion when we’re at the lake. Werner’s is what I imagine fancy general stores from yesteryear to be like: a little bit of everything, loads of local flavor. Do you need Tervis Tumblers or a new Yeti cooler? Got it! A cute new outfit and some jewelry for a fun weekend away? Check! In the market for a canoe, kayak, mountain bike, or camping gear? Done! & most importantly… Need a liquor-law loophole to get some high quality booze for the weekend? YES! Werner’s has a little back cave as I like to refer to it, filled with the most astonishing stash of fine wines and high end beer. You roll into Cullman, in a dry county, and just don’t expect to see Cakebread and Opus One sitting on the shelf. But, there it is, ready for purchase. About ten feet away from the Green Egg grills and life jackets. It’s fair to say that if you go into Werner’s looking for a gift for someone, it is nearly impossible to leave without something(case in point– I found a very obscure kitchen tool there for my grandmother’s Christmas gift last year). If you happen upon it during a trip, you’ll probably leave with bags full of things you never knew you needed– like Redneck Wine Glasses(mason jars mounted on wine stems– kindof amazing), bug zapper apperatus, Ralph Lauren socks(my German friend’s purchase), a home brew kit, paddles, hardware store gear, and probably some type of kitschy metal yard art. If you ever drive up I-65, go to Werner’s, if only for the experience. You’ll love it, I promise.
