How wonderful it is that FINALLY this location has reopened via folks who seem to know what they’re doing. While I still lament the loss of the original«Bella Mia» at this location, this is the next best thing, as the current owner not only was friends with the owner of «Bella Mia», but also has many years of experience in the deli industry. Here’s a link to the local news item about them: We stopped in several weeks ago not too long after their official opening & — after chatting a little about previous owners of the spot, ordered two sub sandwiches. They use all Boar’s Head cold cuts, & make their own salads & soups. I ordered«The Carmine»(named after the owner of the original«Bella Mia»), consisting of «Deluxe Ham, Genoa Salami, Pepperoni, Provolone Cheese, Sweet Banana Peppers, and Deli Dressing»($ 7.99). Sandwich was well-stuffed, although the cheese portion was a bit on the skimpy side, & of course I still dream about Bella Mia’s crusty baguette bread, Italian Capicola ham, & roasted red peppers on their version of this sandwich. «Deli Dressing» is the traditional oil-&-vinegar sandwich dressing, which was perfect. All in all, it was a good sandwich, although I may beef up the provolone from my own stores next time — lol! Hubby ordered«The Raegan» — «OvenGold Turkey, Imported Swiss, Lettuce, and Tomato»($ 6.49). He loved it. We’ll definitely be back, especially since I just snagged a couple of local promotional coupons via a local newspaper giving us a 50% discount on two of our next orders. Bottom Line: Clean place; nice, knowledgeable, friendly people; very good sandwiches at reasonable prices. What’s not to like?
