This is the cutest little store! I love the emphasis on local made and all American products in a day and age when everything seems to be imported. This store has all sorts of stuff: knickknacks, stationary, glassware, clothing, accessories, home décor, and so much more. I love the story behind the store too. Harriet is the owner’s grandmother and it’s her likeness that serves as the company logo. Also, I love that her grandfather’s West Point uniform is proudly on display towards the back of the store(my father is also a WP grad-so this totally made his day). This store is just wonderful and gave me all the feels. If you are in the Culpeper area, you would be missing out if you didn’t stop into Harriet’s for a visit or two.

This place is awesome, everything is made in the USA. The owner is super friendly and nice. I’ve been here about four times and never left empty handed. Store has something for everyone — toys, stationery, housewares, jewelry, shoes, clothes, etc. It’s the main reason I make the drive from DC.

Meticulously curated, full of whimsey both tasteful and a little silly. Worth a stop if you are headed from DC to Charlottesville or the reverse. Combined with a food stop next door it’s a worthy short detour. The letterpress collection of cards alone is lovely, but there is also a small selection of clothes, hats, games and gifts. I saw at least 5 gifts that would be perfect host/hostess gifts(local jam, maine sea salt, bottle openers, matches).
