This is one of Stafford County’s parks. It is located just north of Route 3. There is a children’s playground and a cannon at the entrance. Off to the right is a gravel road that runs along the river with a few pullouts. The first pullout is for a handicapped access picnic table. There is a larger picnic area off to left. Along the river for the first part you may smell cow poop as there is a farm on the otherwise of the river. If you drive further back or hang out on the left side this shouldn’t be a problem. If you are in the area or traveling through it is a good place to chill out for awhile.
