I go in here a lot. The portions are Ginormous. I get the super deluxe burrito and I leave insanely stuffed. All the meals come with chips and their salsa bar which is nothing special but definitely gets the job done. The rice and beans are nice too. Strangely the non-Mexican food is great too. The fish and chips and burgers are good! Lately the prices have gone up, charging more for extra cheese and enchilada sauce, but it’s still a good bargain.

Order: Chicken Burrito Not very large. Average-tasting pulled chicken. Tortilla tasted like the ones I buy from supermarket. When I was waiting for food, cook in back kept staring at me. Even after we made and held eye contact. — — g creep.

Taco Tuesday. If you have not experienced this phenomenon at the Campos off of Jefferson, then my words will fail to convey just how delicious it is. This is not like the other Campos in the area, this one is special. Carnitas, Asada, Lengua, and my favorite … the moist shredded chicken tacos. $ 5 on Tuesday, you get three ridiculously delicious tacos with rice and beans on the side. Salsa bar is full of great salsa varieties, my favorite with the chicken tacos in the brown smokey negra salsa. And it’s not just about the tacos, everything I’ve had from this Campos did not disappoint! Everytime I go here, I get other peeps at work begging me to pick up an order for them as well. Staff is always friendly and don’t discourage custom orders. Decour is underwhelming, but typical, and includes a custom mural of Zapata! I highly recommend this Mexican place for any meal of the day. It’s definitely one of my favs on the west side.

It’s the most expensive Campos and the stingiest, too. As you may have guessed it, their high prices don’t translate to more food or better service. Their burritos are ridiculously small – I’d say they’re almost 1⁄3rd smaller than the burritos at every other Campos. Also, you need to beg them for condiment containers. They don’t want you taking any salsa to go with your to-go order!

$ 5 Taco Tuesday! 3 taco plate with rice and beans and chips. The food was really flavorful. The lack of a star was for the salsa bar. Despite the food being great and flavorful, the two salsas I tried were watery tasting and in consistency. I love salsa so that was a slight disappointment however the food didn’t need the salsa anyway. Will return.

This place is super generic. The food is mediocre and overly cooked. Carne Asada was chewy and hard. Meh. I ate my food because I was hungry. Probably wouldn’t come back.

Place is excellent, and better kept/maintained than the other campos locations in my opinion. Al pastor is excellent

Tonight we stopped by here to grab a quick bite after work. I would like to mention that i work in the food service industry and after tonight will never go back here again. We have been here several times, more for convenience than quality of food. We usually take it to go but decided to dine in tonight. There are no signs in the restaurant that says to clear your table or take your tray to the trash which I would have been more than happy to do. So we assumed, like most places in LA, that they cleared your table for you once you leave. NOPE. We were chased down outside of the restaurant and scolded. «Just so you know NEXTTIME, we have trash cans». Im sorry… are you serious? My one tray with 4 plastic cups offended you THAT much? You did not even have the energy to come and ask how everything was yet you felt the need to CHASEMETOMYCAR and say that? I called the place after to try and let them know that I felt that was a bit rude and help them out before writing a review and they HUNGUPONME. They listened to me and without responding hung up. Guys. your food is not good enough for you to be jerks about a tray being left behind. And if your really that uptight about it, leave us a sign.

5 stars for being that cheap little yummy lunch spot with the amazing salsa bar. The Taco Tuesday special is definitely a deal, the rice and beans are delicious and I love the shredded chicken. Also love the cheese enchiladas, the crunchy tacos, and the Macho Burrito.

I have been here before, I just don’t remember Unilocaling about it. My friend LOVES this place. She says it’s one of the best things she had ever tried. I agreed to go with her, and I did like it the first time. Today, after school, I was super hungry so I decided to go to Campos tacos. Outside on their window, they had a picture of a special that said«3 soft tacos with rice and beans» — and I immediately in my head commended to try this special. I went inside and ordered«the special on the window with the 3 soft tacos». My order came out to be about 9 dollars(including the drink) Wait time wasn’t too bad, it was about 5 minutes. When they call my order, my plate had only 3 tacos with 6 chips on the side. I told the cashier, I meant the order on the window and he said that the special was only on Taco Tuesday. Well fuck me, it was Monday! As I went on the table to eat my scraps, I look around the restaurant, and I notice the same picture that was outside that said«Special» with the rice and beans, said«Special with the rice on beans ONLYONTACOTUESDAY» LOL By golly, now I know they used that to lure me in! There is always a catch!

So the food here is delicious. The tacos are great. My favorite though is the chile relleno burrito, O My God, it is amazing. I also love the tostada salad. I havnt tried it all but based on what i have tried i wouldn’t be surprised if everything else is yummy too. But… here comes the but, they have crumby customer service here. I definitely hate coming for the sole reason that they make me feel like they are doing me a favor in making my order, i mean come on, I’m paying you, don’t make me feel like I’m bothering you with my order. I’m not even picky, i order things off the menu just like it is. They hardly smile and they seem like they are preoccupied with something more important, even when taking my money. The owners though are so kind. I have met them before and they are so friendly and charming, i wish the staff where more like them. Anyway, i recommend taking to go.

So, I’d been looking for a ground beef burrito, in the area, and the Unilocalers lead me to Campos. Although, they weren’t highly rated, I made my way over. I know it’s not traditional Mexican, but that’s what I wanted. My review is based on the Cashier Angelica. I asked her if they had a ground beef burrito and she said they did. So I asked what came in the burrito, and she said ground beef rice and beans. I asked her if I could have the rice and beans on the side because I didn’t want them in the burrito. She then told me that that would be extra. So I said I just don’t want the rice and beans at all. I asked for ground beef cheese lettuce and tomato in my burrito. Once she finally rung up my order, it totaled $ 8.21. So I’m looking at the menu trying to understand why it’s eight dollars for a burrito. Once I got the receipt I see that she charge me for an all beef Chile Burrito for $ 6.50 +1 dollar for custom item. My question is since when do you charge a dollar for cheese lettuce and tomato and I didn’t get rice or beans? With that being said I wrongly doubt that I’ll evereat in that establishment again. She could’ve very easily told me that it would cost extra for whatever I ordered, which I would’ve had a problem with but I would’ve insisted that the rice and beans come with it if I’m being charged eight dollars for just a burrito. It’s just not a good idea to overcharge people unnecessarily.

I love Campos. It’s the real deal; divey atmosphere with authentic Mexican food. If you’re coming here for the ambiance, you’re doing it wrong(or you love dusty plastic flowers and the VIVAZAPATA mural). If you’re coming here for the tacos, well, good for you. They’re fantastic. Also, has anyone ever ordered the random hamburger or fish and chips? Asking for a friend.

I first started going to the Campos on Robertson near Hamilton High and thought their food was good. Then I started coming to this location because it’s more convenient. I usually stick with their shredded beef enchiladas. I always get the combination plate. I’ve also had their ground beef enchiladas, cheese enchiladas, shredded beef tacos, tamales, and chile rellenos. Their salsa tends to be too watery.

I actually didn’t like Campos as much as I had hoped I would. I know many people who get food here regularly, and the place was decently packed during lunch. Got a combination plate with two beef tacos. It was kinda just slapped together with the beans running over to the rice(I don’t like beans) but whatever. The rice was alright, and the tacos were alright. Even the chips were just alright. I think I would rather go somewhere else for Mexican, even though this place is pretty cheap.

Every man ought to be a macho macho man, To live a life of freedom, machos make a stand, Have their own life style and ideals, Possess the strength and confidence, life’s a steal, You can best believe that he’s a macho man He’s a special person in anybody’s land. — The Village People(1978) Is your diet making you feel free and is your stomach ready to make a stand? Are you looking for a steal of a deal? Wanna be macho? Well put on the construction hat or cowboy chaps and head over to Campos Tacos … and get macho. The Macho Burrito deal at Campos Tacos with a medium drink for $ 7.65 features a hefty man-size burrito with your choice of meat and topped with«Spanish Sauce» and Cheese plus a small side of Tortilla Chips. To be fair, there isn’t much that’s gonna help my macho-ness these days, but the Macho Burrito really didn’t make me want to sing and I really wish it had … cause then I could drop the whole«Macho, macho man … I’ve got to be, a macho man» chorus throughout this review. Sadly the Beef Burrito was too timid to be really considered macho while the Spanish Sauce and Cheese did little to mask the blandness inside. Luckily, a very runny, but spicy salsa helped a little. The interior of Campos Tacos is very colorful. That dude in Village People rockin’ the the leather pants and jacket would be proud. Parking is free in the large strip mall. Service was simple. Order at the counter and wait for your food. I’m no macho man; however, the Macho Burrito was was only masculine in size while lacking virility of flavors. Campos Tacos is a-ok when you want fast food Mexican grub in this part of Culver City.

My review is for one food item: HARDSHELLCHICKENTACO. A+ I was convinced to eat here based on a review which highly recommended the chicken tacos. The girl in her review called it ‘the best chicken taco” she had ever had, which I laughed at, but wanted to validate. I’m not laughing anymore! The chicken tacos absolutely DABOMB! The location itself is very traditional, with authentic Mexican music playing, soccer jerseys adorn the walls, with religious pictures. To validate the authenticity, they even had a soccer game on, in Spanish. For the hard core, they have good Horchada, and an impressive salsa bar. Again, my review is for the hard shell chicken tacos — game over.
