Support groups, excellent volunteer opportunity, and crisis helpline all available in this location.
I contract with Didi Hirsch from time to time to facilitate their survivors after suicide low-​fee 8-​week support groups (these are for people who have had someone close die to suicide), but they also have an excellent crisis line if you are looking for a meaningful volunteer opportunity, and they also offer other types of support groups (for those suffering from depression who have survived a suicide attempt or if having suicidal thoughts). The staff is excellent, the volunteers are heartfelt, and even James the Security Guard is a sweetheart. There is ample parking on the street.
This community mental health center really knows what they are doing and are dedicated to supporting people in crisis and those who have survived a death to suicide.
