I implore you… DONOTGETYOURHAIRCUTHERE. Yes, it’s convenient. Yes, you can shop while you wait. But there are barbers who work here who don’t know how to cut hair. I needed a last minute haircut and the barbershop I usually go to was closed so I decided to give Edge-Up a second chance. I justified my decision to return by telling myself maybe I just got the worst barber the first time. Well, I got another bad barber. The cut I got was worse than the first one. My hair wasn’t level and my lineup was awful. I paid $ 22 for this haircut and went straight to the Barber Lounge(also in the mall) and begged one of their barbers to fix my haircut and paid $ 28. To the owner of this establishment, you cannot continue to employ barbers who don’t know how to cut hair. It’s a disservice to customers and it’s hurting your brand. If you’re looking for a good barber go to Gettin Faded on Lincoln or Urban Blendz on Jefferson. There are things I dislike about both shops but at least the barbers know what they’re doing.

Took my son for a quick hair cut ended up waiting an hour while some of the barbers were joking around with no one in their seat or getting cleaned up by another barber. Very unprofessional, I mean why even have a sign in sheet and see people waiting if you don’t use it. I got up to see how much longer the wait was, and TJ I think is the owner noticed I was still waiting and made it clear to them that someone should have taken my son awhile ago. So the joking around stopped and someone took my son. The barber that took my son(Jermain) looked so unhappy to «work» and asked me how I wanted the haircut. He looked so irritated to be bothered. Later on he was making my son laugh I guess to make up for the long wait but it didn’t work on me. So unless I schedule with TJ I’m not taking my kids there again. Word of advise use the sign in sheet guys that’s what it’s there for! Structure it’s a business!

I love this spot, it’s convenient, great service and TJ is the best! My son’s loves his taper fade Mohawk and demands TJ cut his hair every time. I would not go anywhere else and appreciate the time spent to provide the best cut. #loveit #worththewait

Horrible haircut should of Unilocal’T first had to correct the barbers mistakes, had to go back to cut a big patch of long hair on the back of my head, also TJ let my Barber know the last five minutes when he was almost already done with my haircut that the credit card machines were down so I had to pay $ 25 cash only, almost got A line up when I specifically said twice that I did not want to line up. Wtf fu@king amateurs.

First time going here. I’m trying to find a ligit barber for my son, close by. Epic fail! TJ cut my sons hair… He cut it in 15 short minutes, resulting in a wack frohawk with uneven blending. He didn’t even comb his hair before cutting it. The only reason why I gave a star was because the line up was on point, in the front and on the sides.

I was in desperate need of gettin my line up for my company’s Christmas party last nite. A few of the barbers found a way to work me into their schedule so I wouldn’t be late. TJ the barber then took over and worked his gift thru scissors & cuttas! Next time I’m bringing my Momz, Popz, and nephewz! It’s worth the trip from the Valley!

Worst. Place. EVER! This guys are disrespectful, DON’T LISTEN and plain don’t give a f**k. Took my son in and asked for a shorter cut and clean up. This dude continues to yell in my face, «you want a fade». I’m like, it never been called that before but I want it shorter on the sides, longer on the top and cleaned up. «You want a fade.» Uhm I don’t know what a fade is but I just wanted what I just explained. In addition to giving him the number to do the sides. .. please use a 2 for the sides. Well, he DIDNOTUSE A 2, he took it upon himself to use a 1 ½ and proudly admitted it! Seriously!!! Why even be a barber(using the term lightly for these guys) and not listen to the customer. We walked out with an uneven cut, close cut and found another barber in the mall. Now if you want to good customer service, a barber that listens and respects you go on down to Barber Lounge steps away from this filthy place. The Edge Up is cheap for a reason. You get what you pay for. My son deserves a whole lot more than what they offer. Change your attitude guys because you need to be good to actually have a ‘tude! Check out the pic of my son’s hair they started. It speaks for itself! Get some skills boys or go check out Barber Lounge steps away from you to get some great skills!

I came trying to get a haircut and I go to the desk to ask how much would it be for a cut. The guy with a attitude told me the price and then told me that I need to write down my name and number to come back. I asked for reassurance and he ignored me 2 times. He told me that he’ll call in 30 minutes. Never received a call. Worst customer service

I’m not one to leave horrible reviews but this time it just set me off. we have been here before(for my boyfriends haircut) and the barber would stop and talk forever! so his hair didn’t come out as good. but we tried again with another person today, we waited about 15 min for a walk in. I’m not sure the name but he has a beard say my boyfriend down and as a lady(batting her eyelashes) who signed her son in way after Us came to ask him to speed it up he actually had the nerve to ask my boyfriend to get out of the chair!!! we went down stairs to barber lounge and they are way more professional and cleaner cuts.

I’m going to preface that edge up is a pretty weird place, but with all its quirky antics, its still one of the better places around culver city to get a decent cut, especially if you want a clean fade. Above all, i think all the various grievances people have about the place have to do with chronic mismanagement. They don’t have anyone there that DOESN’T cut hair and can attend to the customers full-time. You need to hound someone to actually talk to you and get your name, ask when it will be your turn, how much longer until you get a cut, where you should sit, when you should come back to get your cut. They don’t even have a person to answer phone calls or act as a cashier. Bless his soul there’s a buffish looking dude who uses the first seat that kind of looks like the seat from game of thrones, he acts as a semi-manager. If it wasn’t for him basically abandoning his cutting to manage everyone else nothing would ever get done. On the subject of quality, whenever i go there I’m in a rush and have no time to request a particular person. And there’s a whole new group of people every time i go anyway. I’ve cut with about 7 different people there and i haven’t had a «bad cut» yet. Each time its been«acceptable.» Granted at times ive felt like i got my money’s worth, other times I’ve thought to myself, that was more like a 15 dollar cut, not a 25 or 30 dollar one. One thing that annoys me about the place is there is no set price list or «menu». Each time I’ve gone I’ve paid something different, and the barbers there are pretty creative in their excuses for why its gotten 5 or 10 dollars more expensive since last time i came. And lets all agree its the fucking 21th century, there is no need to charge me extra to run a card. Suck it up, its part of being a business owner, you’re going to pay credit card fees, this isn’t a karoke bar in koreatown. ESPECIALLY when you are charging people 25 – 40 dollars for haircuts, people just don’t carry that much cash around these days and its a major inconvenience, its cheap and low class and reflects poorly on your business. In the end you are hurting your barbers because every time i get charged for a transaction i leave less tip, that’s money i would have given your employees that you are taking away from them.

Too bad I can’t give them zero stars! Talk about the rudest, worst customer service I have ever seen. The barbers ignore you unless it’s a haircut they want to do, I guess cutting my son’s hair was too much of a bother for not enough money. I can’t say for sure but I feel like I was discriminated against because I am white and my son is mixed. After waiting 45 minutes to just get an answer on how much the cut would be one of the barber’s just up and left. We deserved an update on how long it would take, we wound up leaving without getting the cut. I guess they don’t realize that there are plenty of other barbers in town. Save your time and money and go somewhere else. You’ve been warned.

We should be allowed to give zero stars. Place is ran by idiots. Was told the wait was going to be 35 – 45 minutes… 45 minutes later I get told there’s a 35 – 45 minute wait. Imbecile didn’t give a crap for when I told him what I was initially told. They don’t care for customer service. And they spend time drooling over the women that pass by that they will never get

After waiting for 2 hours, a barber finally calls my son’s name to get his hair cut. The female barber with dreads had an attitude that she was asked to cut a head, I was annoyed by her attitude so another barber stepped in to cut my son’s hair at which time the original barber again with an attitude says, «even better». A nasty attitude is always unappealing but to go out of the way to make sure you don’t have to cut hair when you’re a barber, is completely unacceptable. I understand that the mall is a busy place but when you’re at work leave your bad attitude at home!!! I appreciate the second barber for cutting my son’s head but I will NEVER return!!!

Parris did an outstanding job on my haircut and shave. I went in very scruff after not shaving for 2 weeks and she gave me a very well done lined-up trimmed beard, hair trip and fade. She put a lot of effort into it and made sure everything was just right. I definitely recommend her and the shop in general.

I would never come here again, took my lil bro to get a cut and lets just say it turned out looking like a 5 $ hair cut. I believe barbering is a true skill, but these guys are scam artist never ever will I go back and hopefuly the barbershop downstairs that opened up puts these guys out of business. These days kids like to have unique hair cut styles that requires skill to perform if you are not knowledgeable about how to perform a specific cut don’t just say yea sure I can do it knowing damn well you are clueless. They are here for the cash not the customer

TIP; SPEAKUP dont just stand there I have been getting hair cuts here for a little over a year now and i see it all the time people walk up all write there name down and just sit and sit and sit. Call in and see how long the wait is then get the barbers name so you know who to ask for when you come in. TIP#2 If you aint ready to wait dont come bc the barbers all take their time cant rush through hair cuts From what i have seen the majority of the barbers give good cuts unless there is some part time guys that only works once a week that i havent seen I always stick to my man JERMAIN(5 star fades) he is quite but cuts good and i dont like all the talkin anyway. There are two waiting area’s on both side of the kiosk and they close at 7 on sundays so dont be surprised if a few barbers get up and go…
