I love vegan ice cream but I’m not in love with Kind Kreme. So sad:(Any store bought vegan ice cream is better than this. It’s icy in consistency. Flavored are not wow. The brownie sundae is not something I would get again. I would have been happier going to Salt and Straw instead for there 1 vegan flavor.

So close but no cigar. The first few times I had this it was a love affair. That airy creamy soft serve taste but vegan and coconutty and organic. Now? The machine is straight up broke n half the time or the consistency is ice crystally and off. Not sure what the deal is but I think that machine needs to be better maintained. Also it’s super pricy. $ 7 for a regular. Save your shekels and go to kippy’s instead. Sorry.

Props for thinking out of the box and making ice cream like no other. No dairy, totally vegan, no bad stuff whatsoever. Most of them are made using banana as a base to keep it firm, so if you don’t like like bananas this might no be for you. I went with the chocolate banana one since that combo made the lost sense to me and it was tasty. More in the acai super food bowls type of way than decadent and creamy ice cream, but its a treat that will leave you actually feeling good about yourself instead of guilty. Portions and prices are fair, service fantastic and very knowledgeable, I’ll be back next time I’m in the mood for a healthy and refreshing treat!

I was excited about this place being that I’m lactose intolerant and all the ice creams are vegan — almond milk or coconut milk based. I tried a few flavors and the taste was interesting… Definitely an expensive ice cream for not tasting good. I got two scoops with a vegan brownie. The brownie was DISGUSTING! I’m sorry… but it was. If you get the brownie heated it’s a little better, but man, thoroughly disappointed. We also got two almond based ice creams, cinnamon peach and vanilla. Cinnamon peach was okay. Didn’t care for the vanilla. Also I got carob chips and caramel sauce. I don’t recommend the caramel sauce. Overall, not impressed for a $ 10 dessert. :/

I tried three different flavors — butternut almond, cookies and cream, and honey vanilla. They were all grainy and lacking in creaminess. Their tastes were also somewhat off. If you’re looking for good vegan ice cream, this isn’t the place. I’ve had much better store-bought vegan ice cream.

Mehh. After having a delicious dinner at Sage, we were completely stuffed, yet completely envying the sundaes offered by Kind Kreme. We decided to come back the following night for dessert. Sampled a few flavors at the counter, but most had that icy texture that so many vegan ice creams have. The coffee flavors seemed to be the most creamy. I got the brownie sundae with espresso ice cream and it was quite good. The raw brownie tasted more like a lara bar than a brownie, but that’s OK — I prefer that. The ice cream was good, but I got bored of it after the first scoop. The chocolate sauce was overly sweet, not very flavorful? Also no whipped cream? I would go back, but just for a scoop.

Kind Kreme is the non-dairy, vegan gelato portion of their restaurant counterpart Sage. We love vegan food and eat organic but we are not strictly vegan. After tasting several of the ice cream options, mostly the fruit flavored ones, I had a hard time with the«sawdust» consistency of the ice cream. I skipped it and instead went for the coconut frozen yogurt which was rich and very creamy albeit a bit too sweet for me. When I asked to have it on a cone, what they had were sugar cones(all broken) from Whole Foods. They should really think about stocking proper cones. We ended up getting it in a cup with a broken cone on top. My son also ordered a pretzel. When she told me my total was $ 13 for one pretzel and one scoop of yogurt I was stunned. The pretzel was $ 6.95 and one scoop of yogurt was $ 4.95. I buy food from the farmers market, whole foods and eat organic but this to me is highway robbery. $ 7 for a pretzel? ridiculous. The pretzel was good but not amazing. $ 5 for a scoop of yogurt? The cashier tells me «it’s all organic». I particularly dislike restaurants who price their food ridiculously high and hide behind the organic excuse. It’s a pretzel! Not a meal. Overall, highly disappointed in this place and would NOT recommend or return.

This place is truly amazing– the superfood kind kreme was the best ice cream I’ve ever had!!! As an extra bonus Joaquin Phoenix was a table over from us– adding to the atmosphere :)

My wife and I pulled in to try Kind Kreme on a whim as we drove past. It’s ice cream shop is embedded within the restaurant, so if you just want ice crème, skip the host and just walk inside. There’s a typical ice cream cooler display with probably 15 or so flavors to choose from. They also have a soft-serve option which has a very unique taste. We got one medium sized«Superfood»(chocolatey-nut taste) and one medium chocolate soft-serve(chocolate and coconut taste). The stuff is very expensive because of the ingredients — sustainable, organic, vegan, etc — for just those two items it was $ 17 and change. But, we were happy with our purchases — the guy that helped us was very patient, friendly, and knowledgeable. And we really enjoyed the treat, so we would definitely go back — just not very often because of the price.

New vegan ice cream shop that just opened in Culver City strip mall. It’s connected to a new vegan café called Sage. Good options for the vegan set in the now trendy Culver City area of West LA.
