While looking for stylish cabinet hardware for our remodel of our home bathrooms a friend suggested mother of pearl in Culver City for beautiful crystal knobs. They do have an amazing selection in different styles & colors. All though I was not sure what I wanted I did find what I was looking for. Robert is probably the most masterful, dedicated and passionate person when it comes to cabinet and door hardware. I was at such a loss when I finally found robert, his advice and expertise were priceless and his customer service level really a rarity these days. This store is a true gem– the selection of hardware is perfect and reasonably priced. I selected a certain pull and the owner, Robert, showed me a very similar style at a quarter of the price. The pulls are perfect. Robert is also a treasure– he is a help professionally, but was also very kind to my two children who were not having their best moments! I have been going to Mother of Pearl for 20 years, think I first met Robert at the Santa Monica indoor antique market.
We use his hardware almost exclusively for our custom wood furniture and refer our clients from Mortise & Tenon to him for great furniture and kitchen cabinets. Most of our clients are designers and everything has to be custom finished and Robert does the best job in town accommodating our crazy requirements. Custom service is incredible and he always has what we are looking for in-​stock.
A rare find these day’s in Los Angeles.
