After constant please please from the little one to go to Mr Bones, figured we’d go check it out. Admission $ 5 for 13 and older, $ 4 for 1 – 12 yrs old is quite a rip off although you«get» to apply towards pumpkin purchase. I would rather have the choice to purchase pumpkins and get free admission, and would more likely have picked up a $ 30 – 40 big pumpkin. So guess their«marketing» tactic backfired on me? LOL. Pumpkin patch is very cutely decorated. However the kids activities are pretty much a ripoff. $ 1 for a super short slide. $ 3 for mins of jumping pumpkin bouncy, with a long wait. Glad we went early as by early evening when we drove by, the lines were long and cars were jammed everywhere. It was fun to check out but won’t be back.

A bit crowded at times, but fun for the kids. I’m expecting a quieter night tonight, as our son will likely fall asleep WAY earlier then normal. He had the most fun with the hay maze, which from a distance looks like just a stack of hay, but is actually a series of tunnels. Make sure to snag a pumpkin on your way out. After you pay for admission, a smaller pumpkin is basically free. Skip the slide and bounce house, as you can find these anywhere else, at a fraction of the price… Plenty of parking on the streets, especially if you go on Sunday when meters are free.

I visited Mr Bones with my wife &2 year old. I hadn’t been to any of their prior locations so I didn’t really have any expectations. First, the good: It’s larger than I expected, a lot of pumpkins, the decorations are well done, and it’s a fun thing to do for Halloween. Now, the bad: — It felt like they were nickel & diming everywhere. $ 5 parking. $ 5 admission. Basically everything inside cost additional money. $ 7 to ride the ponies. $ 5 for the petting zoo. $ 1 for one ride on the slide. And so on. Overpriced drinks & snacks.(It’s pretty clear they buy in bulk from Costco & charge $ 2 for the $.25 can of Coke.) — Long lines. They did tend to move faster than I expected, but basically everywhere we looked there was a line. — Not enough shade. We spent a lot of time in the sun. — Mysterious pumpkin pricing. At the registers they have a few pumpkins showing the pricing of different sizes. Okay, but out of all the pumpkins out there, how do I figure out if this is a $ 10 or $ 5 pumpkin? I asked the guy how to figure it out, to which he responded«I’ve been doing this for 11 years, you get to know pumpkins.» Okay, but how do I know. «After 11 years, it’s easy.»

Last year I visited at their west Hollywood location and I must say I like this location better(culver city) parking is right next to the pumpkin patch $ 3 – 5 There’s so many fun things to do for the little ones! Petting zoo, face painting, bounce house, pony rides, pumpkin decorating and much more. You must buy tickets for the activities. My little only enjoys the petting zoo and running around the place picking pumpkins but I’m sure the older kids enjoy the rest of the activities!
