Fabulous place. Great service, the lasagne is about the best you will find in west LA. Happy hour prices are a bonus to the good wine with generous pours. High quality across the board.

Great food and wine. I shared an order of the lasagna, their cheese plate and one of their flat bread pizza’s. All were very good. The flat bread was the perfect thickness and had a really good crunch to it. The cheese plate featured a delicious jam that paired perfectly with the cheese and the glass of Sauvignon Blanc that I was drinking. I loved the vibe of the restaurant. It was the perfect place to meet up and chat with a new friend. The location itself is easily accessible and I was able to find street parking. My only wish is that it was closer to other bars and restaurants. So overall it is a great place to get your night started but a little out of the way if you want to do a wine bar hop.

I went there a little bit ago and was a fun surprise. I don’t know the area that well and had an event nearby and wanted to grab a quick drink, bite before so I googled Culver City Wine Bars and this one came up. The server Lily was so friendly and wonderful. She said she doesn’t eat meat but that she hears that people love the meatballs. I got them. And am a meatball snob, they were in fact excellent. As was the flatbread. I had two different pinot noirs. I really liked them both. It had a really fun atmosphere. And everyone was so sweet. Lily couldn’t have made my visit more nice. I would highly recommend it. My one note would be I wish they had bigger, proper red wine glasses. I love wine. It makes it taste better and always good to be able to swirl and open up your wine a little. They also have parking on the side which is also nice. Check it out.

My friend and I were looking for a new wine bar in the area so we decided to venture out to Sarah’s. We were met with a sub par selection of wines for the price points. The wines selected were just not good again for the price points. We got there a few minutes after opening and all the Reds we tasted were refrigerated and just weren’t tasting well. It’s sad because we really wanted to like this place. So we went back to our favorite the Wine Expo. Also they don’t offer wine tastings/flights which was also a dissatisfied for us.

Love love love love. First off, the amazing service we received was from SARA, the owner. She was so welcoming, and she recommended great drinks. The entrees were good but what really stood out was the pepperoni flatbread, which was great… In fact, we ordered an additional pepperoni flatbread because we wanted more. Fresh, cheesy, and perfect. We JUST missed the happy hour here as we showed up after 7pm. But I will definitely be back again. Parking is in a private lot but we found a meter on the street.

This place have been rt in our backyard for two years now, and we finally made the effort to try it out. I must say that I was blown away by EVERYTHING this place had to offer. The service was exceptional, the owner and another woman in particular were absolutely amazing. The venue itself had a soft and romantic ambiance w a touch of the right amount of sports bar feel. We even caught some games in the interim. Very nice! As for the food. There’s nothing bad I can say about anything I tried there. The pepperoni flatbread pizza is a great appetizer to start with. It was so delicious that we ordered two of them. For my entrée I had the chicken w mushroom and Alfredo sauce, along with a small salad. It was all just perfect. My lady indulged in the lasagna which was equally tasty, if not better. As for our drink choices, we went with a red moscato and a glass of Pinot Grigio. Great way to end a busy work week. Thanks Sara! I shall return and make your establishment my go to for an authentic Italian experience. Love your accent btw.

I had a great experience at this wine bar. Delicious flatbread, appetizers, pasta and wine. A small place, good for small groups or dates. I came in on a Wednesday night and didn’t have trouble getting seated. Definitely coming next time for the happy hour!

So I’m just a tourist in this town, and I found this place on Unilocal. The food was superb! Great atmosphere and such a delicious selection of food and desserts. If I lived here I would definitely make this one of my weekly places! The prices are excellent and great for groups and talking with friends

Happy hour time with my sister-in-law. I was stoked to meet up for a good glass of wine and some bites and Sara the wine bar delivered for us. This place is a casual hang out, and has a relaxing vibe to it. We sat at the bar — house wine, cheese plate, a green salad and some fruit. It would be nice to go back and try a few other dishes as well. The service was good, not that attentive because it wasn’t that busy either but it was good. The other plus is that they have their own private parking lot, and its free!

Really liked this place! The woman with a accent that appears to be the owner is very charming and very attentive. The food was delicious ordered margarita pizza, bruschetta 4 glasses of wine, the mushroom linguine and my mother had the shrimp scampi diaviola which could’ve been a larger portion it’s quite small but none the less the food was original & delicious! Prices are good only thing keeping me from rating 5 stars is the ambiance they could really elevate the place with more of a cozier décor. The chairs and set up wasn’t very personal for an Italian wine bar. Gave a cafeteria feel… I know! It needs more attention and revamping. A lot of potential though!

Came here for apps and wine during happy hour. Have been wanting to give STWB a shot since it’s earlier location on jefferson blvd. Pretty tasty and fresh. But we were a bit disappointed that STWB doesn’t offer flights on their regular menu since it’s a wine bar. Friendly service otherwise. Parking is available to the left of the building and on busy Sepulveda.

Wine selection was great! Food amazing, small selection but I like that. Simple, fresh, clean food. Not heavy at all. Desserts were very tasty, we couldn’t decide so we chose all 3! Service was very attentive and prompt. All in all a great place to grab some wine and a light meal.

This review is long overdue… I used to order my vegetarian quesadilla for pick up. A few weeks ago I finally decided to sit down and eat at the restaurant. I just wish I have done that earlier :) The good thing is that I work right next to Sara! Recommendations: the flat breads, the salads, eggplant parm… everything tastes really good. Portions are not too big but filling. Additional plus: service is very good!

We had the caprese skewers, pizza, and bruschetta. Tiramisu was for dessert. I had previously been and had the polenta and eggplant. I loved all of it. They have $ 6 house wine that tastes good! The service is beyond expectations. Sara is incredibly nice. I will be back!(again)

I went onto Unilocal to look for a new place to take my guy; as we like to have New restaurant experiences once a month. Sarah’s The Wine bar sounded interesting. OMGoodness. It’s the cutest, sexiest and cozy atmosphere. It’s a neighborhood spot that hosts the locals well. The owner of Sara The Wine Bar served us an she was a delight. I actually made a connection and made new friend. Awesome experience. Fee King — Your Local Water Lady

I don’t really get it the hype behind Sara. My friend decided to have her birthday dinner here. We had about 8 people with us, and a lot of us ordered different entrees, so we got to taste a variety of their dishes. In short, the only entrees that were NOT bland were the ones with marinara sauce on them. The rest needed quite a bit of self-seasoning for you to taste something. Not only that, but the food took awhile to come out and I had to walk up to the bar to order a drink. Where was our waitress?! It’s not like the restaurant is big. Now I’m only reviewing this place based on their food since I’m not a big wine person, so maybe their wine is great. My friends seemed to like it. Meh.

Stopped in for wine and dessert last night after dinner. Super cute wine bar with generous pours. The server(manager?) was friendly without being intrusive. My husband ordered the apple turnover with Nutella and reported back that it was«pretty good» — I have allergies so couldn’t try for myself. The actual menu is larger than what’s on their website, and we would definitely go back for dinner. The food and the wine were both reasonably priced. Our only critique(not really a critique, just a tip): the ambiance is more casual café than a sophisticated«winebar» and we were looking for something more romantic for our date night.

This is the new and improved location of the wine bar. The one before was a bit smaller than this one. I only went to this spot for some wine with a friend. It was a weeknight and pretty late. They close at 11pm but they never asked us to leave — we were the last ones sitting around still drinking our wine and snacking on the cheese plate. I still love Sara The Wine Bar and will definitely be back again :). I think service goes a long way and these guys are pretty friendly and take good care of their customers.

Go here for a nice quiet Happy Hour on a Wednesday night, the place will be empty if you get there around 6pm and you can have some nice quiet conversation with whomever you’re with. There’s a parking lot in the back and you can park against the Sara Wine Bar side complimentary. Now how nice is that? How many places on the West side have complimentary parking and it’s right off the freeway(so do a quick right after exiting the 405)? Not many! Upon entering the female waitress was SOFRIENDLY and very accommodating(give her a raise please!). She seated me and let me have my pick of where I wanted to sit. I relayed to her I had a cough and could use some hot water with lemon. She brings me the hot water in a little tea pot with the lemon and is just so warm, I feel incredibly welcomed and comfortable, like a very valued customer. Now I’m embarrassed to admit but I will for the sake of giving my waitress props, I relayed I wanted to sit in an area good for conversation and she cheerfully suggested the window seats and with a good spirit and no complaints moved me over. From the HH menu, we ordered the Margherita pizza and caprese. The pizza was alright while the caprese was really good! My wine was not so bad either, although I’m not the best judge of wine since I’m no wine snob. I would love to come back and try the other items on the HH menu, particularly the eggplant and the polpettine:) The only thing strange that happened that night is some gal came in to the restaurant and left her car in the parked in the lot essentially blocking all the cars since it is such a narrow parking lot. I don’t understand why she just couldn’t pull into a space… they need someone to regulate in the parking lot.

Come here for the wine, which is truly excellent. The house wine is also of great quality. For a small joint this place definitely has its own style and culture. We ordered many side dishes and flat bread pizza, which were tasty but served more for the purpose of accompanying the wine. So I would say ultimately come for the quality wine with good sides.

Came here for the second time to treat my niece for another birthday dinner. Her official birthday dinner at a restaurant called Meet in Paris was disappointing. She never complained but I thought I’d take her out to a place with good food. The first time I was here at Sara-the-Wine Bar was a couple of months ago when my cousin treated me for my birthday. I picked the place myself because I love wine and I figured this place must have good wine – because of its name. But it turned out the wines I ordered that day were disappointing. I had a glass of their House White(a Pinot Grigio) and a Chardonnay. But(another but) the food was really great. My cousin and I had the Avocado Bruschetta and their two Linguine dishes. I did not write a review for that first visit because the owner was really nice. You see, we left our car lights on and when the owner arrived(the Sara), she informed us about it and offered to turn off the lights herself. Nice!(I turned it off myself, of course.) Back to the present. I chose to go back during happy hour because I figured if I’m going to have another disappointing wine, at least, I did not pay much for it. And my niece does not drink alcohol anyway. So here’s the lowdown: DÉCOR: Contemporary/Minimalist HAPPY-HOURITEMS: 1) Bruschetta — Too small but delicious. But when I ordered a second Bruschetta, this time the regular one(not the happy-hour bruschetta), they only charged me the happy-hour price for the second one. That was nice.($ 5) 2) House Salad — A good-size serving. And it tasted fairly good.($ 5) 3) Margherita Flatbread(Pizza) — We loved this! And it was a fairly large serving too.($ 6) 4) Wine — Well lucky me! The wine this time was good. Again I had their House White. Five dollars only!(And the regular price is not bad either at $ 6.) NONHAPPY-HOURITEM: My niece ordered one of their linguine dishes – the Scampi Linguine($ 16). And she loved it! She also said it went well with the salad. PARKING: There are about seven(7) spots by the restaurant’s building wall. Be careful not to park at other areas not belonging to the restaurant. The restaurant shares a parking lot with a hotel and some apartments. There is also some metered street-parking available. SERVICE: Very good! My niece thought Sara was very nice too(she took the orders). (Happy Hour is M-F from 4 pm — 7 pm. But call the restaurant to be sure with the time.)

Wine and cheese? COUNTMEIN! Im honestly in love with this place, i wish i could give it ten stars! Its a cute little spot in culver to go for some appetizers and drinks to catch up with friends. The meatballs, cappers skewers, and pizzas were all amazing! I recommend going from 4 – 7 for Happy hour. $ 5 for a glass of their house wines! Service was great! Water was always filled and they always check on you to see if you need anything else. The only bad thing I can say is that this place does get a little warm so maybe try and get a table close to the door.

I came here awhile ago and completely spaced on writing a review. Maybe I wanted to keep this place a little secret but alas, the people should know about this adorable little neighborhood spot. I came in on a Monday to grab a drink with some girlfriends. When I got there, it was empty except for two regulars at the bar. The bartender came over and greeted me and got me a glass of wine and sat down and chatted with me for a bit. Super nice guy, and I found out that his wife was THE Sara. Once my girlfriends got there, he quickly served them and chatted a little more. We ended up ordering a few apps to share(the shrimp was delicious!) and Sara came over and introduced herself. She was so nice and I appreciated the effort that she made by going to each table to say hello to everyone. The menu is small but everything was delicious. And it is all very reasonably priced.

Sara the Wine Bar is a great neighborhood joint that serves tasty and reasonably priced Italian food with a wide variety of wines. Service was very genuine and friendly, and the Italian woman who was manning the place(I assume she’s the eponymous Sara) was effortlessly gracious in the way only Mediterranean people seem to be able to pull off. As I entered the establishment, I noticed lots of groups of women noshing, drinking and«miau“ing away happily at each other.( ) I immediately got the feeling that this is quite the meet up spot for residents in the neighborhood. Took a seat at the bar and managed to sneak in a glass of the house red and an order of the polpetines before my dining companion arrived. As it is, I’ve always been extremely partial to just about every culture’s representation of ground meat(and fillers) in circular form, but I found Sara’s recipe to be particularly toothsome. The house wine was a very serviceable Cab that complemented the tasty Italian repast. Ended up ordering the charcuterie plate(tagliare misto) later on as well and it all worked out just fine. TLDR Summary: Genuinely kind management/staff, reasonable pricing and tasty food/drink make Sara the Wine Bar an easy spot for a date or to chat it up with all your bishes from the block.

Superb service. What a treat to have Sara herself or one of her awesome people greet you and serve you. This place is all about the people. Make some friends, enjoy the company, and enjoy a good, VERYGENEROUS, glass of wine or two… or three. The menu is fairly simple which is good. They don’t try to shoot for an all you can eat from different cultures type of menu. Don’t feel limited to the menu though. Please feel free to ask them what might be new or perhaps off menu? They are trying new things so if you’re in for an adventure, definitely ask what they are cooking up and they just might surprise you. These tapas type of dishes may seem small, but they are definitely filling, at least when you pair it with wine. You’ll have plenty of calories in your system. Lol. I recommend this place to anyone that wants a nice ambient setting with some decent people, decent prices(now when I say decent I mean the word, comfortable), and some good wine, stop by. Already made a couple of stops at Sara The Wine Bar and I attend to come back again really soon. Oh! and BTW, definitely stop in for Happy Hour as well before 7pm.
