Husband and I were starving and searching for a good burger place. We are from out of town so originally had no clue where to go. We came across Smash Burger and decided to give it a try. As soon as we walked in, staff greeted us with a smile and enthusiasm!!! We ordered and not too long after we sat down, the food was ready. We were impressed with presentation: they leave the bun off so you can see all the great ingredients!!! I ordered the Spicy Baja Smash. The chipotle mayo was delicious, the guac was fresh, but the best part was the patty. Most fresh meat I’ve ever tasted in a burger! Highly recommend it.

Flavor is there I guess, but the burger falls apart, because the bun is soggy. Also it’s very hard to order here, they have pictures of burgers everywhere and different menus, all the pictures look great, but once you get your burger, it looks nothing like the pictures… They have different size burgers too, I got the big, but it looks like a normal burger. In n out, the counter, burger lounge seem to be better, at least the menu does not confuse you and you get what you ordered… Not sure at all about this place.,

So I haven’t been here in a while. I ordered the spinach salad, but only after I ordered did I read the sign far away from the register that it would have no cranberries or pumpkin seeds. The cashier was like oh did you want those? Duh So I change to the Cobb salad. The salad was ready but the server says that there is no fried egg, it’s extra. The menu board says it comes with the fried egg. I proceed to read the menu board to the server and the cook and the cashier. Ohh., what, I say I can live without the eff. Since it is to be packed with bacon and cheese. Not so. It’s a bowl full of lettuce for 5.99 with a sprinkle of cheese and on strip of bacon. What happened smash burger. You used to pride yourself on quality. Fix your food and train your workers

I ordered a «big» bleu cheese and buffalo sauce burger with fries and a soda. After tax it cost about $ 13…for a burger 1⁄10 as good as in-n-out. Had to go back and ask for more bleu cheese and buffalo sauce since they put almost none on the burger. So if you like spending double for a burger that is one tenth as good… be my guest. The workers were exceptionally friendly and I don’t really fault them except that when we told them that their food sucked they just said«sorry» and walked away.

Food tasted very fresh — ordered the SoCal Crispy Chicken burger and it tasted very good and left you satisfied. Rosemary Garlic fries were tasty but just a tad bit on the oily side. Green tea was refreshing. Only reason I did not give it five stars is because the entire place smelled like rotten eggs & as if someone was continuously passing gas(I hope the employees don’t go home smelling like that, let alone go on a date immediately after work!) but I think it might be due to their«egg buns»… Aside from the smell that wafts in and out throughout the course of the meal in the facility, the food was tasty. Will be going back but will sit on the outside patio next time!

I love this location, the employees, and its easy to get to, not easy to park but hey. There have been very few instances I’ve gotten stale fries or a shitty chicken sandwich but they have fixed up their cooks and any time you go its pretty good(before id only go after lunch so my food isn’t rushed) Really cool point system as well!

Wow! These burgers taste great. It was juicy. Came here randomly since In N Out was closed. These burgers don’t disappoint at all, and I’ll come back just to have one. However combos are pricey, not the burger, but the Drink and fries.(they charge separately, not a deal). The fries were Okay. Way too thin. I wouldn’t buy it again. My rating is for the burger and the service. The guy I who took my order was funny and friendly. Chill spot.

Smashburger is a solid contender in the fast-casual burger category. This venue is clean, the service is fast, and the burgers are about $ 7 – 8. There’s a decent selection of different styles of burgers such as bacon cheddar, truffle, or baja jalapeño; nothing too unique but plenty of variety. The burgers themselves obviously don’t have the super-premium ingredients of a $ 13 – 15 gourmet burger. However, they’re also vastly better in quality than a $ 3 – 5 fast food burger, with meat that tastes juicy and real, and crisp, fresh vegetables. The various flavors here are generally put together well and taste very good. I most recently had the SoCal special burger with cilantro, guac, sour cream, onions, and cilantro sauce, and it was a tasty Southwestern-flavored burger. The sides here are particularly good. The Haystack Onions are thinly sliced onion rings that are very lightly battered, and come with a great zesty sauce. Their special fries with rosemary and garlic are good as well. Overall, a great choice for the price point; basically the Chipotle of hamburgers.

Disappointing experience. Ordered a BBQ, Bacon and Cheddar Burger to go. I arrived home and It was missing the Bacon and the haystack onions. I can’t speak to how the burger tasted as it felt incomplete and boring. I wish I had gone down the road to ‘In And Out.’

Smash getting Crushed. I was surprised to see my 5 star love for this place because yesterday gave me amnesia of what I ever liked about it. It’s been a while. And this place has not aged well. Came in specifically craving the sandwich with the crispy won ton and Asian flavors but sadly it is no longer on the menu. Shame, it was really unique and tasty. Something you couldn’t get elsewhere so calling card status. That card has been declined. Bad start turned into trigger finger review grumpiness. Hand held paper menus had no prices. TV screen menus were completely blacked out because of my polarized sunglasses so high tech so unnecessary so unreadable. Wife’s food got dropped first so I wait. Plenty of time to notice the scene is dead, the space empty and the care keeper just sweeping up ashes. At least it was clean and my man Osama is working hard, taking pride and working his way toward employee of the year. he dropped a couple $ 2 off coupons on the table. Really it’s come to that to get people coming back. How about just dropping the prices and increasing the portion of «large» «„you gotta b kidding me“» fries. No manager to give feedback to, probably bunkered down in the office looking for his next gig. Smash burger’s days are numbered. 365 and counting.

Smash Burger is an amazing burger joint. If you are looking for a great burger and you aren’t trying to wait forever at In n Out down the street then this is your spot. This location is very big and is in a shopping center with tons of parking. If you come during lunch time though it might be a little hard to find parking. Theirs burgers come on an egg bread that compliments their meat so well. They also have amazing fries called Smash Fries that are delicious. I had to order extra because they were so darn good. I also got one of their Oreo shakes. The ice cream they use for those is so good. There is only one complain I have for them and that’s that the servings feel a little small. It might just be me wanting more but I feel like their servings could be a bit bigger. Other than that Smash Burger has pretty awesome burgers at a decent price.

With apologies to vegetarians and cows everywhere, sometimes my body just demands some beef. And when that happens, my favorite quick and casual burger place is Smashburger. I really cannot make a better burger at home, and I don’t mean just the bun and toppings. I mean the actual burger. It is not a hard, tough, obviously from-frozen hockey puck. And it certainly is not the grayish mystery meat of typical fast food joints. It is a nice lightly smashed, juicy, fresh, hand made(at least it seems so) burger. It is also not so thick and huge that you feel compelled to drive yourself to the ER for an angioplasty when you finish, although I believe that you could add a lot of stuff if you want to bulk it up. M husband loves the chicken breast sandwich, grilled. I believe they have a breaded or fried option(?), but the grilled is also nice and pounded flat, tender and, he claims, extremely delicious. Ordinarily I would opt for the healthier chicken, but as noted, I come here when I need a beef fix. The fries, which we can no longer afford from a health perspective, are thin and crispy and«the best». We are very picky about fries, and if we were younger or ate out less often, we would absolutely order them. The servers are very friendly, the diningroom is spotless, and the outdoor patio is shaded. I can no longer eat a quick burger from anywhere else, including In n’ Out(which is ok, but no Smashburger.) Just writing this review is making my mouth water for a classic Smashburger. Really.

Made to order burgers, fries and milkshakes. I had the Classic Smash with everything(American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle, red onion) and it comes with smash sauce(mix of mustard, mayo, little relish and a splash of lemon juice). Yummy! Because I’ve never met a potato that I didn’t like(hee, hee, hee), I ordered the smash fries, which is their basic fry tossed with rosemary, olive oil and garlic. Not bad, not bad at all. A chocolate milkshake rounded everything out and I can say that I’m a happy camper. Pricing isn’t bad considering their ingredients and selection of toppings(bacon, goat cheese, avocado, spinach, cucumber, etc) and your choice of bun — egg, multi-grain or chipotle.

I got a BBQ bacon cheeseburger and their smash fries. The burger was a smashing success, the fries were smashing failure. The fries were limp, oily and flavorless. The burger, held together by a genius egg bun, was just plain delicious. Great ratios, succulent patty, lean flavorful bacon, just great.

Definitely one of the best burger joint in the area, they offer the gluten free bun for $ 1 which is great, most places should have this option. The truffle mayo is to die for… especially with the smashfries I don’t eat fast food often, but when I do this is one of my favorite spots

What a great burger chain to enter the crowded LA market! It’s almost as good as the other gourmet shops and definitely a step-up from the traditional fast food joints. Their burgers taste freshly made, and you aren’t littered with a hundred choices though you can opt to customize your own. Watch out for their occasional special — I really enjoyed the Windy City one. Good milk shakes & sweet potato fries helps their cause. This is my go-to fast-casual burger place now. Although, I can’t say I’m a fan of them copying GameStop’s logo font and colors.

Basic burger that was nothing out of the ordinary. I ordered the California club burger which was literally just a REALLY thin and poorly seasoned chicken patty with bacon strips and avocado. The burger wasn’t juicy and the meat portion was just tiny and flavorless. The only taste I got was from the baroque and spicy chipotle sauce I ordered on the side! The staff was also not too friendly or helpful for a first time person at this store!

SMASHING! Ugh, now I’m getting horrible memories of Nigel Thornberry, the creepiest cartoon character in all of existence. Anyways, now that I’ve thoroughly conjured traumatic memories of the past, I will dive into my thoughts on Smashburger. I once went to a Smashburger into a mall, and I found the burger to be extremely pedestrian and even difficult to finish. Thus, when my friend recommended we come here because of the«amazing burgers», I cringed inside. The first time, I actually rejected the offer, and the second time, I was so hungry that I just gave in. I’m glad I did. This time, I decided to not get the most basic Smashburger; instead, I decided to be a true American hero and design my own. Grilled onions? THROW ‘EMON! Raw onions? MIGHTASWELLCOVERMYBASES! Jalepenos? WHYNOT? Cucumbers? UH, SURE, I GUESS!!! Couple that with some thinly cut fries, and I had myself a mighty fine meal. I found the burger to be quite juicy and the overall composition pretty tasty, which sort of makes sense because I just stuffed it with things I liked. The burgers came out pretty fast, and the service was decent even if they forgot to bring some sauce my friend requested. Overall, the meal was filling and satisfying, and the image of Smashburger that I had in the past was, effectively, smashed. The image of Nigel Thornberry, on the other hand, was sadly not.

*3 ½ stars This falls in the in-between category where it’s not totally fast food(McDonalds, Burger King, etc) but also not gourmet(Umami, Bachi, etc). Very solid burger. The meat is very juicy but also on the greasier side. I like that there are a ton of different options and ways to customize your burger to your liking. You can choose a specialty burger or make your own. Fries are a la carte. The sweet potato fries are amazing. Skinny and perfectly crispy. You order and pay at the counter but they bring you your food to your table. Customer service here was great and super friendly.

I went back because they sent me a $ 5 giftcard in the mail and we know how I am with groupons so… Giftcard is like the golden ticket. Im really glad i went back! I built my own burger this time and got the big sized one given my issues with small food. It was super good and juicy! I also got the onion stack and it was basically thinly fried onions. Yum! My boyfriend got the LA burger and i really loved the crispy wonton and slaw in it. The rosemary seasoned fries were great too! Thinly sliced which is my fave.
