I tried SoulCycle for the first time at the new Culver City location. It was wonderful! The staff was accommodating and ensured my friend and I were comfortable as new riders. It was certainly challenging and different from spin, but the hospitality and focus on the whole body sets SoulCycle apart. The facility is beautiful– showers, lockers, etc. The only thing is this building is still under construction, so I definitely recommend allowing time to figure out where the class is. It is a little confusing. Overall, a great first experience!

So I have to say I’m hooked! I took my first class at the Culver City location and loved my experience. I took Pixie’s morning class and it was challenging and fun. She was recommend by a former spin instructor so I had high expectations and she nailed it. The music was great, the energy was perfect and she was attentive to all the students making adjustments to bike and turning up the resistance so you were challenged. I thought it was great how she called out people who were doing a great job by name even the newbies like me. My legs are already sore and the arms portion was a struggle. I will def be back. As an added bonus the manager Madison is dope and sets the tone for a fun friendly studio. I know it’s expensive but at the end of the day it’s totally worth it!

If you want a workout that will almost make you pass out from working out then you got it. Being it my first time, I tried my best to keep up with the rest of everyone riding like crazy and keeping up with the instructor who kept encouraging us to keep going. It was pretty intense. The atmosphere itself is pretty nice and clean. The design of interior is minimalist style with bright white and yellow colors. Lots of lockers to store your belongings. The bathroom has showers with towels and supplies to keep you clean. Theres deodorant, shavers, hair dryers and much more to clean yourself up after the sweat drop workout. Bring those extra clothes to shower. I would totally come back again but it is not cheap. Each class being $ 30 with it being less when purchasing multiple classes.

Love good beats and music? Love a good workout? Hate the normal gym routine? Then maybe this place is for you. Each class is roughly an hour long and is taught by one instructor. No experience needed really. Just bring yourself and your energy. You cycle through different songs and do different exercises. Definite changes up the normal gym routine.

SoulCycle opened up a new location in Culver City and we’re offering free promotional classes for a limited time so I decided to try it out! I called to reserve 2 bikes(one for me and another for a friend). That process was really easy, and the lady was very friendly. When I got to SoulCycle, I parked in their nice and big lot, checked in, picked up a pair of shoes, stored my stuff in the locker, and headed into the studio. Right away, a nice gentleman helped my friend and I get set up on the bikes and taught us how to clip our shoes into the bike. The instructor(Kym) was very high energy and fun! You start sweating minutes into the workout. The room is dark which was nice and felt a bit like a private workout since people can’t really see you too well. You can adjust the intensity to your liking depending on your skill level and how hard you want to workout. There’s also weights and push-ups that are incorporated into the workout so you really get a full body workout. It’s only 45 minutes but I thought it was very effective and just the right amount of time. After the class ended, I couldn’t figure out how to unclip my shoes so I ended up just in strapping the shoes and leaving them on the bike. I really wish these classes were cheaper because I would totally go! At $ 30 per class + $ 3 for shoe rental, it’s way too expensive. Overall, I had a ton of fun and would recommend it if it weren’t for the high costs.
