I love this place. I moved to Boston and its one of the major reasons I’m excited to be moving back to Maine. I have a muscular disorder, as a child I had so many doctors appointments in the Portland area. My mom used to bring me to Lucindas after a few of my appointments and I will never EVER forget how kind the staff always was to me. This place is amazing. Seriously an oasis.

I’ve had so many negative/unprofessional interactions here that I promised I’d never go back. Then I won a $ 50 gift card so thought I’d try again and I booked a pedicure. Once again they didn’t fail to disappoint, I was called one hour prior to my appointment and it was cancelled. No apology, no effort to find an easy time to reschedule just bam– we don’t have a technician who can do this. I’m flabbergasted that people like this place. Such a disappointing experience from start to finish. Will be throwing the GC in the trash!

I called after they closed and left a message. They promptly called me back the next morning. I wanted to book a mani-pedi for the same day and they were able to squeeze me in. The manicure was $ 9. I thought that it must have been a mistake because that seems so cheap, but no, that’s just what it costs. The pedi was $ 45 but I got the deluxe pedi. Definitely more expensive than the Bay Area where there is a nail salon on every corner, but I’m not complaining. They had a wide selection of colors and the woman who did my nails was friendly, interesting, and easy to talk to. This is a full service day spa and I would like to try some of their other services sometime(massage, facials). I’ll definitely be back!

I’ve been a client since 2003, I think. I generally go for massages; I found Alison and I never want her to leave my life. I suffer from back issues and I am not sure who comes out of our sessions more worked over. She is jovial and makes me laugh while beating the ever loving snot out of my clenched muscles. Somehow she manages to do it much like a cat… you know, how a cat can kneed and kneed the same spot and manage to be annoying and someone painful, but not to the point of actualy pain? That’s her… my massage cat. I have also had pedicures here with a friend a time or two. They are ok and relaxing. I had my nails done once, but I am not that in to nal care to come here for that. They do carry Aveda products for those of you looking for those. Also, they have little stuff like coin purses, socks, gardening gloves and soaps with storks inside(like for a babyshower gift). They also do hair removal, eye lash tintng and other services.

This review is for Rhea Alexis Stuart, who is a Licensed Aesthetician and Master Certified Makeup Artist – Rhea did my makeup for my wedding, as well as a trial run a month before the wedding. Rhea is pleasant and meticulous. She takes her time, and it is obvious that she takes pride in her work. After my trial, she gave me her cell phone number, and she was quick to text back when I had questions. She listened to me, and I appreciated that she remembered my concerns from the trial on my wedding day. She gave me exactly what I asked for — natural-looking makeup that highlighted my assets and made me feel beautiful and comfortable. I felt like the best version of myself. I highly recommend Rhea Alexis Stuart.

I went to the Cumberland location for the first time today, and I will not be going back. I got a manicure and a pedicure and while the staff were all very friendly, I am not impressed with the results and people seemed rushed. I will admit to being five minutes late, so I’m sure that didn’t help. The woman who did my manicure managed to file the skin off the tip of one of my pinky fingers(ouch!), and was preoccupied with her next appointment, bringing it up several times. I was then handed over to another woman who was more relaxed and easy to talk to, but my issue with the pedicure was that after leaving and actually looking at my toes, it was obvious they needed another coat or two of polish. I could have done better myself. I’m getting married in two days and I’m glad my gown will hide my toes. Overall I’m not happy.

We visited Lucinda’s Day Spa a few weeks back and had the BEST pedicure! This place really knows have to provide a spa service. The atmosphere was relaxing and the technician we had was very professional and skilled. I’ve been to other American-style nail salons, mostly in the Portland area, and found the girls to not be trained well or rushing the service. This was very enjoyable and RELAXING! I was so glad to see that my polish was glopped on and my foot massage didn’t consist on just slapping on body lotion. I would also recommend Lucinda’s for a special mothers-day pampering or even bridal party! Unlike the city, no worries about parking here as they have a lot.

I just went there this weekend with 5 girlfriends. I had a 90 minute Lucinda’s Combination massage with Tess. It was amazing. The environment is warm and inviting. The facility was immaculate and very serene We all received a variety of services from a combination massage, Swedish massage, Hot stone massage facials, manicure, and pedicures. Everyone said it was an amazing experience. The staff was extremely friendly and professional. The booking was easy and accommodating. I highly recommend!

I had my eyebrows waxed, which cost $ 15. I asked to have a $ 5 gratuity added to my card. When I checked my credit card bill a few days later, I noticed a charge of $ 69!!! So I called and the receptionist told me that I had given a $ 54 tip!!! I replied«No, I did not». She then went on to say, «Well you signed the credit card slip». Wow! So unprofessional. I had to make several phone calls to get this straightened out. I was told that because of how this was handled, they would refund me the full $ 69, which I thought was reasonable since it was me who discovered their mistake. Unfortunately, after waiting a week, I was only refunded $ 49. So I called back and asked about the discrepancy and the owner was a complete bitch. I will never go back there. The service has been inconsistent lately anyways, so this was an easy decision to make.

Definitely the crème de la crème! I came here for a «spa day» bachelorette party a couple weeks ago and got a massage and a manicure. The bride-to-be and the other 2 girls we were with got massages and facials. We were all so impressed with the quality of service being provided that we are already talking about going back for my bachelorette party! Aimee was my massage therapist and she was extremely thorough and gave me one of the best massages I’ve ever had. Every staff person I encountered was very professional and friendly, and the place seemed very clean and organized. Overall, a great experience at Lucinda’s!

I’ve had several services done at this spa(massages, facial, and nail work). Several(not all) of the Yarmouth nail technicians have been rude and do a sloppy job. The masseuse and facial expert do a decent job. Scarborough location is much better. It’s a cozy home environment and staff seem more nice and personable. Owner is lovely.
