Food is authentic. Good and tasty. However the service is extremely slow and inattentive. If you are dying for Cuban food it will satisfy your craving but don’t go if you’re in a hurry or impatient. You’ll only end up frustrated. We’ve been twice. Same experience both times. Won’t go back because of the service.

Last week we had just read in the Forsyth Cty News that Coco’s in Cumming had a Cuban that was in the top 100 fav locals place in all of GA. With that we had to try this out. Pretty bold to claim one of the best 100 meals for locals in GA so I took my mom there for her first Cuban. We came on a Saturday round 2pm and the place was not full so was looking forward to a good meal without a wait. We sat pretty quick and ordered some Tea and had a look at the menu. We started with some sweet plantains and then both had the Cuban with the rice and beans– suggested by the paper. It took a bit of time to get the food and the service was quite slow, but the meal came out and a great looking sandwich was on the plate. Both of us made of mix of the rice and beans which I thought were quite good then dove into the Cuban. I have to say the Cuban was also very good with good crunchy bread and good size as well. It was a true cuban. My mother loved it and I was happy she got to have a good meal and something new. This is a small place, looked to have a good repeat crowd and maybe 10 – 12 tables and an area in the back I didn’t go back to check out. The atmosphere was quiet, and the chairs were a bit hard but we did enjoy our meal. I can’t say it’s one of the best local favs in GA, but if you want a Cuban and your in Cumming, this is where to go.

The Pollo en Salsa is excellent. I stopped for lunch and ordered another to take with me. Have not tried other foods, but if this is an indicator of their cooking, I will be back. The only negative I would give is location. I have lived here for years and never noticed this restaurant hidden in a small strip mall by CVS. If you do find it, the Pollo en Salsa is excellent.

Cuban sandwich was amazing! But slowest service I have EVER experienced. Seriously, if you have somewhere to be afterwards, don’t go here.

Run, do not walk here. The food is outstanding as is the service. Try the chicken steak sandwich on Cuban bread. Awesome!

The Real Deal!!! Cuban Media Noche, slamming. Everything is authentic and fresh. The natural juices are amazing, tried the Mango, Strawberry and Guanábano & was not disappointed. This spot is a must try for low key, relaxed dining.

I’m from Puerto Rico, so I grew up eating Cuban food. This place is legit! I had the Cuban sandwich and it was to die for! The pernil(roasted pork) in the sandwich was incredible. My husband had the churrasco and he loved it as well. The only lackluster thing I had was the tostones. They were soggy instead of crispy like I’m used to. We had flan as dessert and it was on point. I also had a guanábana smoothie and it was great. We will return!

Cuban cuisine is one of our favorite and we are glad we found this place. Tried their plates, vaca frita and chicken. Both were good.

The wait was worth it after being closed on Monday. The Cuban steak smothered in onions and sauce with yellow rice and black beans was very good and brought back memories of friendships I had 30 years ago in the Cuban neighborhood of New York city New Jersey. Recommend if you enjoy Cuban.

I’ve been looking for a good Cuban place since I moved to the Atlanta area. I’m happy to report that CoCo’s is IT. Best Cuban sandwich I’ve had since visiting Little Havana in Miami. The roasted pork was great, plenty of cheese… and most importantly the bread was perfect! The Maduritos and Yuca were good also. Cuba coffee was excellent with the guava and cheese pastries. Definitely be back to try everything else!

This a nice family run business that offers a good lunch menu and good Cuban coffee. Parking is easy and the service is good. The seating isn’t very comfortable FYI but if you’re here just for Lunch it’s no big deal. We ordered the potatoe with meat balls, empanadas, steak sandwich and vieja ropa. The potatoe meat balls were homemade and delicious. The empanadas are more likely frozen but pretty good. The vieja ropa and sandwich were pretty standard for Cuban and the rice with beans delicious and packed with flavor. We finished with a café con leche that was perfect to get us pepped for the rest of the day. Overall food is 3.5 stars, service and location 4 stars. If craving Cuban food for lunch, go here

So we love Cuban food and have several favorites around Atlanta. This will not be one of them. We tried several appetizers, soup, a Cuban sandwich, steak sandwich, rice and chicken. At best the food is okay. The service was horrible. We pointed out the menu description of the chicken and rice was not what they served to the waitress who then wanted to argue with us about it. No problem, we won’t be back.

My family and I have grown very fond of CoCo’s since it is so close to home. The pulled pork quesadillas are to die for. Their fries are very good and crispy. They also have a really good tres leches desert. The prices are very affordable. The only downfall is that I mostly want to eat there on Sunday and Monday which is when they are closed.

I’ve been to coco’s twice. And twice they have blown me away with their amazing food and over the top service. The food is truly cuban and the ambiance reminds me of some little spots in miami. They need to open up more of these in GA. Everything from the food to the service is amazing and reminds me of being back home. I love coco’s and will definately keep going back!!!

This was my first time trying cuban food, so I was very excited. Coco’s is located in a pretty unassuming strip mall, and the décor is also homely. We ordered the tostones with roasted pork. This was undoubtably one of the best things I’ve ever had. The tostones were perfectly fried, and the pork was very flavorful, and so plentiful! The sauce had a sweet and sour taste, which went very well with the starchiness of the plantains. I ordered the bistec palomilla, which came with beans and rice. The steak was flavorful, though I found the onion topping too sweet. The beans were too salty, and the rice was a bit mushy. This dish was just alright. I would definitely come back for the tostones, and maybe to try some empanadas or the Cuban sandwich. I think the best thing here is the price: most things are under $ 10.

This place was alright. I’d be willing to try it again but choose a different dish. My husband got the pulled chicken sandwich and liked it. Mine was the creamed chicken. The Chicken kinda had a tuna taste to it. And I was hoping for better veggies in the dish. So it wasn’t bad but left me wanting a little more.
