Creations Bakery

This is a mixed review. The ordering process of my daughters Sweet cake 16 was good, they understood what I wanted, worked with me on getting our cake just right and the cake was ready on time and as expected. To be fair, the cake was beautiful and tasted delicious. But there was one fatal flaw. Not once did anyone tell me I would need to refrigerate my cake until the party. I had numerous conversations with the staff there, they were aware of the size of my cake and not once was this mentioned. They close early on Sat so I had to pick up the cake at 2 pm, but the party wasn’t until 6. Only when I picked up the tall 3 layer cake did they tell me, in passing, it needed to be refrigerated. This may seem obvious to them, but I had never purchased such a large cake. I had a house full of out of town company and no time to clean out my fridge to make room for this huge cake. So I left it on my counter. Had I been told at any point that I needed to refrigerate it, I would have made arrangements to do so. As you can guess, right as we pulled into our event location, the cake slid its side in the trunk of my suv!!! The 180.00 cake laid on its side having completely split apart. It was not a happy moment to say the least. Thankfully the St. Marlow’s Country Club had a cake designer on staff and she saved the top 2 layers of the cake and it looked more beautiful than before. We had 90 guests at this event and not having my daughters sweet 16 cake would have been a disappointment. As mentioned earlier, the cake was delicious, but that small piece of information would have been hugely helpful! Lastly, I reached out to Jamie, via email on several I occasions and never got a response, which is just poor customer service. I wasn’t asking for anything other than an apology and that she would work to make sure this doesn’t happen to anyone else. This is just a training issue. My advice, If you purchase a cake from Creations that is too large for your fridge, just have it delivered.

Not very impressed with the cupcakes they made for my daughters birthday– they tasted stale and looked about the same as homemade cupcakes :-(would not recommend

In my opinion this is not a «professional bakery». If you are looking for your basic cookies and cakes, I’m sure this bakery will suffice. However, I wanted something very specific for my sons first birthday party and I was completely disappointed in what I received. The girl at the front assured me they «would look just like the pictures» I provided. I should have known this was not the case considering no one could show me pictures of their previous works. Needless to say my nearly $ 4, per item, cookie was nothing like I requested … I do not believe they can do true «iced» cookies. They dye fondant (or as they call it –CANDY) and form the 3D image on top of an ill shaped cookie. My mom had the same experience as I later found out. Highly disappointed and way over priced for their capabilities. For what it’s worth, the cake did taste good but that’s about all the positive I can say.

I love having a local bakery. We’ve only had the chocolate, vanilla and the marble and all have been pretty good. We’ve only had good experiences with customer service. They even brought my sons 3^rd birthday cake to our house. I have had to leave there empty handed because the line was to the door and they didn’t have enough help but we’re getting ready to celebrate our son’s 4^th birthday with Creations.

Stopped by at the last minute to see if we could get a birthday cake with some fresh fruit. Look what they came up with! Tasted even better than it looked. Creations is a winner!

We went in for something chocolate… there was nothing in the case but the person behind the counter offered to go downstairs and see if they had anything. They had chocolate cupcakes that we chose to have frosted with vanilla buttercream frosting. It was very good… the cupcake was moist and the frosting was good, not overly sweet. All in all. we will be back to try more baked goods…5 stars!

I don’t normally care for cake. I usually eat it only because like seems gluttonous to eat frosting by itself. Creations makes me love cake for cake’s sake. Doug W posted the pic of our daughter’s cake. Not only is the decorating incredible, the cake tastes GREAT! We got strawberry flavor and loved it. There are not too many non-​grocery store bakeries in this area but with Creations around, my bakery needs are well met.

If you want a great specialty cake, look no further. We’ve used Creations for several parties and have not been disappointed, they do a great job and their cakes are really excellent. I can’t speak for any of their other goods, but for specialty cakes this is the best place around!
