I have had nothing but great experiences and total satisfaction with Dr Alvarez and his medical staff since moving to Atlanta 8 years ago. Surgery and treatments have improved my quality of life but the headaches caused by the billing department have ruined all his great work. It is inconceivable that such a talented Dr. can have such an inept billing department. I have now been sent to collections twice for balances that were paid when due and documentation sent three times proving his office cashed the checks. Now I get nothing but contempt and condescention when calling the office. In fact today I was transferred directly to the collection agency when calling the office. Many thanks to Dr Alvarez and Hiral Petal, who is an outstanding PA, for all your help over the years but I can no longer remain your patient with such an incompetent billing department.

I have been a patient at ENT Institute for 10 years or more. Was satisfied with my service during that time. However, within the last few months when I went back for a refill on prescriptions, i was told that I had a balance due. When I asked if it had been filed with my insurance, the girls at the front desk said«Don’t worry, we had a glitch in the system when we changed billing companies.» So I paid my copay and saw the doc. This happened twice. Each time it was …“Don’t worry we had a glitch. We will take care of it”. Then last week I received a letter from a collection agency!!! Get it together ENT. You are playing around with people’s credit! Will no longer use this practice.

RIPOFF! Went to Dr. Alvarez at their Cumming location for a sinus infection. The lady making the appointment signed me up to see the audiologist in addition to the doctor… why? When I arrived the nurse cancelled the appointment saying I didn’t need to go for a sinus infection. I returned for a follow up visit only to find I owed $ 100 for a endoscope«procedure». It’s nothing more than a flashlight they stick down your nose! While complaining to the receptionist about the charge, I had 3 other patients approach me in the waiting room, all complaining about ENT Institute’s ridiculous billing ranging from $ 800 to $ 3,000. The receptionist also noted this amount was reasonable and is the most she’s seen insurance cover and that I was lucky. I called to pay my bill and the lady in billing said she’s heard A LOT of complaints and doesn’t blame me for never wanting to return. Secondly, I waited for an hour to see the doctor. Very disappointed as I liked Dr. Alvarez but I WILLNEVERSTEPFOOTBACKINTHISPLACE! EVER!

Dr. Alvarez and his staff have always taken care of me great but their new financial policy to collect $ 300 plus a copay for each visit until you have met your deductible is ludicrous. Unfortunately, will be looking for a new ENT.

The staff and medical providers are very attentive and actually listen to your needs. If you don’t have insurance, they’re usually the most economical choice. Def recommend checking this place out and they have 16 locations around Atlanta which makes it convenient and quick turn around time to make appointments
