Dr Ames was awesome! I hate dental work and he was the best. I wish I would have went sooner. Hopefully there wont be a next time but if there is Dr Ames is the only choice for me. Oh, be sure to talk with Barbra. Such a pleasant lady. I just loved her!

I started my Monday morning off right today with an 8am root canal. Thrilling I know but it actually wasn’t so bad. This is my second root canal so I feel like I have a good handle on how it’s supposed to go. We arrived at the building in downtown Cumming it’s a brand new building with tons of parking in the back lot. When we walked into the suite I was greeted with clean and homey modern décor accompanied by calming colors. The assistant took me back after I finished my paperwork (they have this all online so you can complete it after you get there but for some reason it wasn’t working for me). She was very accommodating taking my purse, offering me a blanket, making sure I was alright. She took a few x-​rays and then I met Dr. Ames. Who is AWESOME! He’s so laid back & easy to talk to. We joked, examined my x-​rays & then he began on the procedure making sure my dad was informed of what was going on as well while he waited. The procedure was pretty painless the numbing agent starting working immediately and Dr. Ames was very gentle with my gums. After letting him know the part in the procedure I was nervous about he took the time to explain it and assure me that if I needed a break it was not a big deal. After the procedure was over the numbness faded pretty quickly within a couple of hours and I was eating a hamburger and french fries by 1pm with NO PAIN! And I haven’t had to take any painkillers at all which is nice. I was worried I would be in too much pain to go to the Braves game tomorrow night because I was in a lot of pain afterwards with my first root canal but thanks to Dr. Ames and his great staff I will be able to go cheer for the Braves! Hopefully, I will not have to return for another procedure but if I do in the future I will definitely go here without a doubt.
