OK… this is NOT a place for anyone on a diet! The biscuits are HUGE, and deeply flavored… i.e. lots of fat and butter! But, when you need that big olé plus sign put on your soul… come here! The biscuits, as I said are huge and yummy… just by themselves. But, then you add stuff… I had the gravy biscuits. Gravy was a bit thin, but with some additional salt and pepper, very good! They take the biscuits and break them up for you, then put the sausage gravy over the top… great way of doing it! Here is the testament to how good this was… the BEST bite. was the last one! Now, that is unusually good! Wifey had the sausage and egg biscuit… which she found to be equally yummy! I took a bite of just the sausage… outstanding! So…why four stars… well…I know this is a rural place… and they have their way of doing… but…waiting in line and on the food for about 45 minutes was a bit much. They had one young lady working inside… she took the order, worked the register, made up the order and then delivered to the table. We were patient and I would deal with it again… but…if you happen to be at the end of a long line, it could take forever…

do you want a biscuit as big as your face? then yea, this is that place! It looks like a hole, it is but it’s a good hole with amazing breakfast food. I see where one person complained about having to wait, they just need to go somewhere else where they can be pleased, you know like one of those fast food places that serve some sort of unidentifiable egg with a piece of meat that is processed in China. If you like southern style breakfast and don’t mind a small wait and want to be full all day and probably wish you ate only half the thing, this is it! GO, feed yourself.

The food is good but the service is hectic. They obviously have a high demand so why do they not hire more staff? One lady is running around trying to take orders, cook, and take phone orders. There are two more girls in the back and about 20 people waiting in line… that does not include the drive through. I would seriously consider adding on a person or to just for convenience. I waited 40 minutes for a biscuit. I just don’t see how that is acceptable.

Stopped by on the way home and I’m really glad I did! The biscuits are so big and loaded, they definitely want their customers full. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because of their cash or check only policy. Debit/credit card transactions have a lot higher pay rate over checks.

Great breakfast! I loved the biscuit and gravy. Cash or check ONLY! Definitely an old local spot — nothing fancy here. Oh, and don’t expect fast food timing. Go and enjoy a more laid back pace.

Great biscuits! Be prepared to wait if you come thru drive thru but it’s worth it. Call in order on the way it’ll help

I agree with the other reviews… they really do have wonderful biscuits. This place is just outside my neighborhood and I love going here when I’m craving a good country breakfast. The only downsides are the cash/check only and the wait on a Saturday morning. But I guess a wait is a good thing because it means people love it. For a little shack that looks like it’s about to fall down, this place puts out really good food. This is comfort food so don’t come here expecting a variety of soy food substitutes… come get some real biscuits, real bacon and real eggs.

While the outside may not hint that anything spectacular is going on inside, and though the inside may say the same thing, the moment you get your food the story changes completely. Light, fluffy biscuits that have the perfect texture on the outside and are pleasantly moist on the inside, covered with awesome sausage gravy, served on an unassuming styrofoam plate is the perfect way to start your day. Really great value for the money, and the staff is friendly too. Of course, I wish they had better hours but there’s only such a window of time one can eat this kind of food. This place is perfect if you’re looking for something other than WaHo or Cracker Barrel and you’re willing to go a bit out of your way to get it. Just remember to check the hours before you get all excited!

This gets the Brendan Spaar Award for great breakfasts. Love their ham biscuit. A great place to grab a good country breakfast & relax. If you’re in a hurry, use the drive through & take some home or to work.

Don’t let this shack(and I do mean shack) fool you. Awesome and HUGE homemade biscuits. Friendly staff. Great place to ask for directions if you are lost in the woods in north Cumming. Otherwise, you’ll probably never happen upon this gem. If you do, it’ll be worth it!

Stopped by at 6am on a Thursday morning to grab some breakfast before work. I’ve read on there that the biscuits are huge. I wanted to try grits and their French toast, but I’ll try that another time. We ordered the biscuits and gravy, chicken biscuit, and a large sweet tea(all to-go orders). The biscuits are huge! They are the size of my hands. I think I saw that they have fresh biscuits from 5:30am to 11:30am. I loved my biscuit and gravy. It was hot and fresh. The biscuits are broken up and was smothered and topped with gravy. I think the gravy has bits of meat or sausages in it. The meal was perfect for the start of the cold, fall/winter. The sweet tea is like what sweet tea should taste like — southern sweet tea. The staff is nice and the restaurant has a lot of history in it. There is a drive-thru window which I thought was very nice and smart of them to add in. Overall, I will stop by the next time I’m in the area.

Yes; it is a whole in the wall but just GO! Awesome(huge) biscuits, fresh coffee and fantastic country friendliness. Had 3 biscuits, one plain, one with gravy and one bacon, cheese and eggs plus 3 coffees for less than $ 11. Wow! Don’t let the building scare you off. We will be back.

We stopped in on a road trip to Chattanooga to an unexpected barn with amazing biscuits, gravy, and country ham. I was little disappointed with the chicken biscuit, but everything else we had was amazing! People weren’t lying about the biscuit size… they are massive, fresh, and yummy! A must stop!

I had a bacon biscuit this morning… oh man. It was that good. It was definitely a homemade biscuit and was larger than the palm of my hand. Great biscuit. Only bad news is that I’m a credit card guy, and they’re cash/check only. Remember that when you go.

[TL;DR] decent food, amazing pancakes, terrible logistics, cash or check only. let’s start on the high points. the ladies are all very nice in the way you can only experience in the south. the biscuits are gigantic, fluffy, and tad bit sour just like the way they should taste when made with buttermilk. the pancakes are the bomb. tastes amazing and hits your stomach like a pound of concrete. yeah, i’d do that again. a breakfast platter, an trio of pancakes, and a large coffee for a ten spot. so if those are the high points you ask, what could possibly be the low points? well, if you’re into décor or ambience, you won’t find any charm in the screen door and mismatched tables. let me warn you, if you show up after 10:30 and there’s a line out the door, chances are you won’t be getting any gravy since the place shuts down at 11. if you’re not here for the gravy, why exactly would you be here?! if you forgot money, you might want to go somewhere with an atm or prepare to write a check. there are no kickbacks going to credit card companies in here — which is kind of nice. their order framework is completely out of whack. each order is taken and payment received before moving to the next order. the problem is they do this for take out orders too meaning they go fulfill the takeout order while everyone in line waits. this is evident when the restaurant has 6 seated patrons and 20+ in line. preferential treatment is given to drive-thru orders as we would watch car after car go through, getting their food and order handled by two people whereas the inside orders — one person. it was really just… irritating until we got to the counter after 40 minutes to be told they ran out of gravy. and what did i say about gravy? the last little oddity is that the drive-thru has a health rating of 90(A) and the restaurant had a different sign of 97(A). why do they have separate numbers? i have no idea. both are respectable values though. i wasn’t close enough to read the violations but was close enough to observe that biscuits and money were handled by the same, ungloved hands. don’t know how dirty money is? there’s lots of sources for information… but this video( ) is pretty entertaining. omnomnom.

Just like everyone says, big, yummy, piping hot biscuits with a quarter pounder of sausage and tasty country ham. Will have to venture back here to try other items.

If you are looking for quantity… this is the place for you! Biscuits the size of burgers was definitely the way to put it… the sausage is HUGE and the bacon is mmm so good and crispy! I honestly thought this placed was shut down, and then saw the open sign. Inside is nothing special… very bland décor. I’m huge on atmosphere so thats why i give it 3 stars… if this place had a cute antique face-lift i’m sure their would be a line out of the door waiting for a table. However i’ll stick to the interesting looking drive thru next time when driving up to Blue Ridge. They only take cash and check as well… so make sure your wallet is full! You can’t beat $ 3 for a huge homemade biscuit!

Like everyone says, the biscuits are huge, way bigger than a hamburger bun, and if you ordered biscuit and gravy, they chop their biscuits into cubes and pour a heaping serving of gravy over top. Yum yum yum. Don’t let the old exterior fool you, this hole in the wall place is as good as everyone says it is. Fagan Biscuit Barn has nothing on this place. Fagan’s biscuit is alright but their grits and meats aren’t salted. Guy’s is just great overall. They accept cash or checks only, so come prepared. There is a long line of cars going through the drive thru, yes a drive through! They have a window off their kitchen, why not a drive through?! But since they cook everything to order, the drive thru idea is just a novelty thing or for people who really like waiting in their cars. Get out of your car and save some gas and enjoy the cute little Coke displays inside. We’ll be coming back, maybe split a biscuit though because one whole order was too much for me, that way I can have room for grits.
