While the store itself is very cute and cozy, the prices on used books are way too high!!! Good if you need a particular book for school and don’t want to deal with crowds and staff is always friendly.

An old fashioned book store with a huge collection of old and new books. A really cool children’s area in the back was the hit for our family. While I read almost books digitally this was great to visit and brought back memories of shopping for books as a kid.

Support local businesses! Especially ones as good as this cozy local bookstore. I have gotten inexpensive used books on up to current authors. They are knowledgeable, friendly, helpful without hovering. A book lovers haven

i’m so glad I called barnes and noble in the avenues to be let down after trying to find a book for a school recommended read for someone. for those in the area, this is a fantastic place to purchase books without having to fight the Avenues crowds and flighty pedestrians walking aimlessly from one store to another. I Iove how cozy this house feels and how it was converted into a bookstore. the moment you step in, the quiet sanctity of the store envelops you. the lady working behind the desk was on the phone but still smiled and greeted me as I walked in. for those that feel strongly about supporting the mom and pops, this is your chance. this little store has the selection of the big brick and mortars without the noisy customers and the dizzying parking lots. you really can’t miss this store. small stores typically get swallowed by a large shopping center. what makes this place unique is how its a converted house in the middle of a vast parking lot to a shopping center. I will be definitely be visiting this place as the holiday season gets closer and look forward to the coziness of this store.

If you are in Cumming, and you love books, please, do check out Humpus Bumpus. They have a grrrreeat selection of books. I especially love their children’s section! What a great place to ensconce yourself in one of d comfy chairs located in each ‘room’ and indulge in a good read. Too bad we were in a hurry, or I’ll spend a couple of more hours here. More people people should know about this awesome place!

This store is what all bookstores need to be like. Thank you so much for always being true to what a bookstore needs to and will always be. J. Hagerman

If you fear print books are quickly becoming a thing of the past, you’re sure to love this place. They sell new and used books, and have a great trade-in program. They’ll gladly donate any books you don’t want and they can’t use. I am something of a rare book collector and I’ve always managed to find something of interest every time I go. There’s always a used old copy of a classic that has developed a character of its own. Great selection of classics and history, plus a fantastic kids section. All that is missing is Mrs. Doubtfire reading to children in front of a fire.

A gem of a reader’s haven tucked away in… Cumming? Yes, proof that life here does exist, and that it’s intelligent! This is a great place to check out some wonderful books, and they get big points for their selection. They have a large span of genres and even host titles from local authors. This place is a Cumming must-visit.

Here’s an oddity. Located in an old converted house in the middle of a vast mall parking lot, Humpus Bumpus(yes it’s true) is a bookstore of the sort one would expect to find on a village square in Connecticut, not Cumming, GA. They’ve been in business for over fifteen years and are apparently thriving. They have prose and poetry readings, sponsor signings, and actively support children’s literacy. They have a goldmine of classic literature tucked away in many nooks. No teeshirts, no DVD’s, just books, good books. I say hurray that the little guys still exist!
