Nice arena. Great for kids. Wonderful trainers. Open skate at$ 7, is reasonable.

We had our daughter’s 6th birthday party in their large party room on Saturday Feb 28th. The staff was very accommodating and pleasant to work with, and the pizza they brought us(from Marco’s) was quite good. We plan to have future events here again, so that’s the best endorsement I can give. My only suggestion is to book the room for at least two hours minimum, especially if you plan to decorate. We had one hour in the room thinking we could still use it during the two hours«skate time» but that isn’t how it works. The staff helped us keep track of our guests’ shoes and skates so it wasn’t an issue, but the adults may have appreciated more time to eat in the room. They just moved our food to their concession area and even kept the cold stuff refrigerated so that was convenient. Doug, one of the managers, was especially helpful.

Nice place to skate the the instructors are fabulous. Did not quite do it for me for a party. The room was only for 45 min which is not enough !

The Ice is the newest, and nicest, rink in the Atlanta area. I guess maybe it’s a stretch to call Cumming the Atlanta area, but anyone involved in hockey has total disregard for distance. We’ll drive as far as we have to to play, officiate, coach, watch our kids play, etc. The building is just off Georgia 400, in the middle of nowhere. Private lot with plenty of parking. The inside has a sterile feel with a lot of grey, which I happen to think is pretty awesome. There aren’t the arcades and multitude of neon lights clamoring for your attention here like there are at the other rinks in Alpharetta and Duluth. There’s are two counters on your left when you first walk in… one general front desk and the other for food. Haven’t patronized the food counter so can’t speak to that. Staff here have always been kind and friendly, even at 6:30am on a Saturday. There are two main rooms here, the lobby and the arena. The lobby is huge and the large windows offer great views into the arena for those spectators that wish to stay a little warmer. Walking through a set of glass doors will bring you to the main arena. All the bleachers are on one side of the ice, and the locker rooms, players’ bench, etc. are on the other. The rink is cold(that’s a good thing), the ceilings are high(pucks don’t hit the ceiling as often and get whistled down… another good thing), and the entire room is really well lit. The ice itself has always been in great condition: no random bumps and no inconsistencies such as melting ice near doors which I’ve seen elsewhere. Locker rooms are nice, spacious and also have the nice high ceilings. One thing I noticed last time I was here was the fancy air monitoring equipment( ) they have here on the wall, between Locker Room 5 and the zamboni garage. After seeing the news reports and articles about hockey rink air(example: ), it was refreshing(literally and figuratively) to see one of these here. Perhaps other rinks around town have them too, but I’m not aware of them and/or they’re not mounted as publicly as the one here. Everything about this rink is great from the nice staff to the well-kept facilities. The only downside is that there is only one sheet of ice here, as opposed to the two some of the other rinks have.

Management has done a great job running this Rink– Very clean facility & a very friendly staff. Also the hockey program is the best in the state. Keep up the great work Ice!

Public skating was massively crowded most likely because of the holidays but that should mean there should be more public skating hours then just 2… Was so crowded it took me 20 minutes to get my sized skates…

What a great Hockey Facility. I thought that there were good ones here in Atlanta, but this one is hands down the best. The interior is new and very clean looking. The locker rooms are HUGE, but could use more then just 2 shower stalls. The Ice is in great condition, the boards are not warped and the seamless glass is very nice too. This is a great place to play.

Public Ice Skating sessions are very crowded, which is good but they need more free skate sessions. Not great ice monitors if someone is racing. Non hockey events are somewhat scattered. Needs improvement on Figure Skating area
