Had a Thai ice tea here with boba and it’s disgusting. Absolutely horrendous. The boba tastes like it’s soaked for 3 weeks in salt water, the milk in it tastes like old almond milk and the general flavor is just completely off. There is also a weird layer of foam in my drink. Don’t even want to know what that is. Please save yourself.

The coffee here is wayyyy to sweet! I normally get an iced soy vanilla latte… So I tried opting for a iced latte instead hoping it wouldn’t be as sweet. Wrong. Still extremely sweet to the point where it makes my teeth hurt ugh! The only reason I gave this place 3 stars is because the owner is really nice. No matter what time I come here he is always working. I don’t think it is called Café Rococo anymore though.

The owner of Café Rococo is a sweetheart; if you catch him at a quieter moment(early to mid-afternoon is the best time) he’ll chat away about nearly anything. Prices are generally pretty normal — about on par or slightly cheaper than Starbucks. The best thing by far is the iced tea. Whatever syrup or flavor additive they use here tastes pretty darn natural. The peach ice tea tastes like summer fruit, not that nasty canned syrup. Passionfruit is light and refreshing. The raspberry, again, tastes like the real fruit and not like that Lipton/Nestea corn syrup crap. Now that it’s winter I’ve become very fond of the Vanilla Tea Latte. It’s a perfect balance of sweetness and the slight bitterness of black tea. I could drink it all day! The regular hot chocolate is pretty good, but I thought the white hot chocolate waaaaay too sweet. Mochas tend to be more bitter than sweet, so I usually go for the white mocha. I don’t like the coffees as much as the teas, honestly. But when I’m on campus and I have cash(they just started accepting credit cards, but there’s a «cash discount») I love to stop by and get some tea to take to class with me.

I came here to get coffee on my first day of class because I didn’t get to go to Starbucks and I was getting tired. After the initial we don’t accept credit cards, I asked the young man behind the register what was good. He said, «The Hazelnut coffee is pretty good.» This was when the owner steps in and starts telling me the kid didn’t know anything and plain out embarrasses the poor guy in front of the line of people. Finally, the owner suggested I get a caramel macchiato, which by the way, was one of the most expensive items on their menu, and it just tasted like warm milk! I think I ended up feeling even more sleepy afterward! Needless to say I haven’t been back since. Oh and another heads up, they don’t sell by cup sizes, but rather by shots of coffee.

Like me I only drink coffee when i need to stay awake and I don’t have time to drive over to some place. Their selections of beverages aren’t bad, but the taste of the coffees is the problem. Prices are like starbucks, but the quality isn’t even though here they don’t add as much sugar as starbucks. It is organic, but I can never be satisfied with this coffee anymore.

The owner is very passionate about Coffee, which brings the variety and diverse flavorings into the coffee world of De Anza. The menu is on the less expensive to moderate side. The coffee is rich and very organic :).
