Happy Cuts

I have been coming here for about 7 – 8 years now. My favorite thing is they have 4 employees that ALL give great hair cuts. I used to latch on to a person when I found someone who could skillfully navigate my dome. There is nothing worse than a bad haircut. In this place I’m comfortable walking in and waiting for whoever is next. It’s so convenient to walk in on my lunch break. I’m usually in and out in less than 25 minutes. 6 stars!

I’ve been going to Happy Cuts for well over 20 years. Chris, Linda, Lan and Kim are great people and do really fine haircuts. It’s always busy — a sign of them having lots of happy customers who love to come back.

I’ve been coming to see Chris to get my hair cut for over 15 years. I’ve never been disappointed and can’t recommend him highly enough!

I have been to this place once. And the cut was great. Few days ago I went to new saloon in the same area, just to give it a try (also because they had a special offer going on). And they messed up my hair (Regret the decision).

I got my hair cut by Kim, and I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience! She was extremely warm and kind, and she had a lot of patience and paid close attention to detail. I wanted my hair 2 – 3 inches shorter with just a bit of layering, and she cut my hair exactly how I had pictured it! Even though I don’t usually ask for much, I’ve honestly never been satisfied with a hair cut until now. And also taking into account a price ($ 25 for a woman’s hair cut) cheaper than most other hair salons, I’ll definitely be coming back.

Chris and Kim are simply the best and know how to make you look great. I’ve been going to happy cuts for over 8 years and have never been disappointed. I no longer live near the area but still make the commute for a haircut because no one knows how to cut my hair better.

Glad I tried this on a recommendation. I had passed by many times but incorrectly assumed that this was a kids hair salon… well, it’s not, although they do cut children’s hair too! It’s one of the best salons I’ve tried. Linda was recommended and I was really amazed at how fast and precise that she was. I told her what I wanted and she totally heard me out! Skill & communication is key. Very happy with their prices too! Will definitely be back.
Oh, and the stylists do speak Vietnamese to each other on occasion, as one reviewer noted –I really don’t give a hoot what they’re saying to each other. I’m there to get a cut & leave.

I took my kids to Happy Cuts. My kids love there. They are quite busy, so make sure to make appointment in advance to avoid waiting.

These guys are fantastic! I’ve never had better hair cuts. Me and my wife have been going to them for years now, and neither of us have had a bad experience. We have had our hair cut by them all, and they all do a great job. We are so happy to have found them. They are so friendly and welcoming. They do the job quickly and efficiently, but also take the time to make sure you look good!

Chris, Lan and Kim are also skillful and friendly. I always have my hair cut by Linda. And my husband always goes to Chris. Love this place and their friendliness.

Good with kids. Stylists are very nice. Place is clean. Knocked off a star due to the CASH only requirement which is a bit of a hassle.

Both Linda and Kim have cut my hair and they both have done an amazing job. I live in San Jose and work in Mountain View, but this is going to be my go to spot for haircuts. They just understand what I want and work efficiently to achieve the exact length and style I request.
I never have to be nervous about getting a haircut here!

I wish I could give them more stars! We came here for my son’s first haircut, hes almost 2, which went ok. The style was very cute and they were fast. The second haircut was much much worse and that’s why I’m writing this. At one point two of the women were actually crawling on the floor cutting my son’s hair to accommodate the tantrum he was throwing. They were so wonderful! They gave him lollipops and toys, I was so impressed. We’ll come back here anytime. They rock!!!

Bad hair day: long story short, I am NOT HAPPY after my haircut. $ 40 (including tips) for a lousy haircut. One star just for no 0 star rating option.
Kim, who cut my hair seems lacking professional training at all (the way she cut hair) and keep telling me I need to blow dry and style my my hair to look good. ?! My beloved hairstylist always make sure my hair looks good with or without styling after washing my short styled hair. I kind of suspected I went to the wrong place or maybe wrong person. I want to run and how I wish I did! Now I have to blow dry and styling my hair everyday now ! She was correct, it did look decent after .
As you may know I am a just busy/​lazy mom, I will make sure call my trusted hairstylist next time in stead of walking into a random salon even with decent Unilocal review. I am alway curious and like surprises. But No gambling with my hairstyle, again! Luckily the hair grows and my hair grows quick. Can’t wait for the next salon visit !

Used to come here when I was little and recently came here to get full highlights and a haircut. My friend and I both got full highlights and they turned out exactly how we wanted to.
And when she cut my hair it was exactly what I wanted, not 2 extra inches like most places do. I will definitely be coming back here!

I went there because of all good reviews on Unilocal.Took both my kids. One lady was doing ok. Other lady (sorry didn’t ask for names) was horrible. Didn’t know what she was doing. She was probably trying to learn. Wanted her to stop, but didn’t to avoid hurting her feelings. Haircut came out to be multiple patch work. Took him to a different place to fix it.
Good thing I didn’t have to worry about tip amount. They decided to not give me change and keep few extra dollars. I probably would have given more than that, but wasn’t in complaining mood. Wanted to get out asap.
May be it was a bad a bad hair day for us or just unlucky, I found them to be polite but unethical. Not going back.
