I wouldn’t give these people any star if it wasn’t part of the review process. They charge everyone a different price for the same thing. I had a scan and ended up in the hospital having my kidneys flushed because the tech, Kevin gave me two contrast injections instead of only one because he messed up the first injection. He said he talked to the radiologist who said it was ok to do that. After I got out of the ER I requested to speak to the radiologist who said it was ok and Tammy, the self proclaimed CEO, sad he’d call me. I called every day for two weeks and got the message machine. I went in and She or the radiologist were never there… I asked for a copy of my records and they simply disappeared. I decided to report them for medical malpractice and a week later the clinic was closed. Come to find out they had already had a malpractice suit against them and apparently never paid anyone for bills they owed and skipped town. Research people!!! RESEARCH

Unethical people. Double bill insurance, have techs reading scans when doctors should(the doctor signs off on whatever the tech says), offer misinformation to patients and treat everyone like they are just a number.

I got a heart scan at Heart Savers in Cupertino back in May of 2009. It was quick, easy & provided a detailed color scan of my heart, showing I had major blockage caused by a lot of plaque in my heart. I took this to a great cardiologist, Durga Madala(408−356−4242) in San Jose, who my wife had met with. I ended up having a double bypass heart operation a month later, which probably saved my life. I had previously had no symptoms of heart disease, but in retrospect, I had bad family history that was probably the cause of it. My father’s family had had major heart problems. Anyway, Heart Savers was terrific to work with & I would highly recommend them to anyone who has heart problems, or who, like me, has a family history of heart problems.

My doctor referred me to Heart Savers for a heart scan last year. I was asked to pay $ 295.00 up front for the procedure but was ensured that they would refund my money when they filed the paperwork with my insurance. Here it is a year later, dozens of phone calls to Tammy(billing person) and I still don’t have my money. I left Tammy dozens of messages with none being returned. When I finally threatened to call the BBB, I was finally able to reach her and she said there was nothing she could do to help me. So here I am $ 295.00 poorer and the service was awful. I will never go back here. BEWARE of this clinic and the falsehoods they tell you. They are just in it for the money. Once they have your money, you will never hear from them again. I wanted to give them negative 5 stars, but the lowest it allows is 1 star.

I was interested in having a heart scan after eating fast food for 40 years. I called up Heart Savers on Steven Creek, to ask about prices and availability. They are having a $ 99 special for the type of scan you want to have. They have several areas of the body that you can choose from to have them scan for $ 99. They also report the results to your doctor. There is also the $ 1200 version where they use an iodine based dye and a 3D scan that shows fantastic detail. To start with I went with the $ 99 scan and am waiting for results. They do require a prescription from your doctor for any of the scans to be only $ 99. Otherwise it’s about 3 times that cost. The office was very nice. The staff polite. Their technician Bob is easy going. They take you to the room where they lay you into a scanner shaped like a doughnut. The machine is only about a foot thick, so you don’t get pushed into anything cavernous. In fact I was only into the machine up to my chest for my heart scan. I was comfortable the whole time. The machine spins up around you as the scanner is built into the doughnut. When it gets up to speed you are asked to hold your breath for exactly 2 seconds, then a voice tells you to breathe. Then the scan starts and you hold your breath for 5 seconds total, and the scan is complete. It takes longer to fill out the paperwork and pay the staff than it does for the $ 99 heart scan. The diet for most Americans is very poor. So I think this is a good way to become aware of small problems before they become huge problems down the road. I am a new patient of Heart Savers and in no way am receiving anything for my review of their facility.
