I love this bakery! I’ve been going here for about 6 – 7 years and this place never disappoints. My favorite bread is their mochi+red bean bread which is good if you want something sweet. I also love their hot-dog bread, croissants, and the bread with yokisoba in it! Plus you can never go wrong with their cakes on a special occasion. Their pearl milk tea is really good too. The regular size is pretty big for only $ 3.

Just a heads up — Unilocal marked this as Open Now on Friday until 10pm but this is incorrect. It closed at 8.

I literally came here just for the Taiwanese wheel cake. Unfortunately, the taste of these wheel cakes makes me not want to come back. I ordered 2 flavors; hazelnut chocolate(?) and 2 custards. Omg, the batter was so bland, it made it really hard for us to swallow it. Out of both flavors, the chocolate flavored one was not that bad since it was sweet, which gave the wheel cake some flavor. In additional to the wheel cakes, I also bought a Thai tea with boba here. The boba was just odd here. We finished the drink and there was still a ton of boba in the bottom of the cup. With each sip, the boba just won’t come through the straw. What a disappointment! We will definitely skip this place in the future.

$ 3 herbal desert, I like it chewy and strong herb taste. $ 8.99 swiss cake roll is very soft, fresh, and delicious cake texture.

Super yummy! This place is adorable. It’s In a super busy part of town, but there is tons and tons of parking spaces due to being in a strip mall. Outdoor seating is available which is nice, and inside is fun as well. Lots of different choices or breads and sweets as a grab and go option right off the wall. They even have fancier grab and go items such as a nicer caked and sweet rolls. I’ve never had any of their made to order food, but I really enjoy the drinks here. They don’t taste artificial or powdery, and they are never too sweet. I like the Thai iced tea and the milk tea with boba the best! Totally reckoned this place to everyone.

So this place is not trendy. Don’t expect kpop or a place with high ceilings and mirrors for lounging and people watching. They have one table only and it looks old fashioned albeit sturdy and possibly came at the price of a living, breathing oak tree. It reminds me of bakeries in Oakland or SF Chinatown, but with Cupertino pricing. Kudos that the staff speak Taiwanese. Local homely feel except I’ve had better bread in Taiwan 7 – 11. Not really the best representation of tasty Taiwan bread. Props for bringing over the wheel cake. This place has potential. For Sea salt coffee 海岩咖啡 go 85 bakery. For Hong Kong wife cake 老婆餅 go Kee Wa For Taiwan sun cake 太陽餅 go Sheng Kee For selfies go to PB For people who can’t make up their minds, Tous Les Jours*

Small bakery with a good selection of breads. They also have tea here. Also certain days and times they sell Taiwanese wheel cakes just outside the bakery.

This bread is amazing. The center is a salted egg surrounded by red bean and shredded pork and a layer of mochi and then flaky crust with sesame seeds. It sounds strange but is delicious! They only have it on the weekends and they sell out quick! You can call if you are coming from far and they will save some for you.

This is a small-ish bakery that also serves as a boba and shaved ice place as well as some bento options. Personally, I feel like their multi-talented quirk makes the quality of their goods a little less. Bakery: They have a good selection of breads and cakes, but they tend to run out of supply quickly if you go later in the day. I usually enjoy their breakfast breads and their standard melon bread, rou song bread, and their brick toast things. Drinks: Their milk tea is pretty average. It is not particularly amazing nor terrible. Because there are so many other options nearby, I’m hardpressed to purchase a drink there unless they offer a deal with my bread purchase. Their shaved ice is okay from what I had a few times. Bento: I think their bentos are their selling point. They make very good meat-dishes, and the condiments(i.e. marinated radishes, suan cai) are all pretty authentic and yummy. They give you a lot of food, so it’s always a very full meal for me when I do get it.

We went to try their dessert. But since they close so early, we decided to just get bread. The guys behind the counter were very helpful. I just wish we had a chance to try their dessert. Maybe next time. Like their dried pork buns.

I have a real soft spot for l’epi d’or. Growing up(yes, a long time ago) in nor cal, this was one of the first bakeries that started my love for bread. Delicious, hot fresh breads in the morning. My favorite one is definitely the black sesame bread. The swirls of black sesame and the chewiness of the whole thing when it is fresh out of the oven… They have a plethora of options. If you want some taiwanese breakfast items such as the sticky rice with the savory dry shredded pork and pickled veggies inside, or the mustard greens inside of bread, pineapple buns, and even drinks. This is one of the few places that have milk tea in the morning save 85 deg. I prefer this place, it’s less buttery, and the breads remind me of my childhood. When Cupertino was actually not populated with asians, and yep, when apple was on the brink of extinction.

I needed to order a cake for my boyfriend’s surprise birthday, and after lots of research through Unilocal and checking out different bakeries in person, I decided to drop by L’epi D’or for a number of reasons, and very happy with my decision. 1. They are conveniently located just up the street from my workplace, so I could easily pick it up. 2. I recall trying a cake here many years ago for my mom’s birthday, and remember it being super yum! 3. FRUITCAKES. I ended up ordering their mango mousse cake right on the spot. It looked delicious, beautiful, and for $ 30 I thought it was very competitively priced in comparison to other bakeries up the street. Props to Kai for helping me each time I dropped by! He is super friendly and helpful! I dropped by several times to make changes to my pickup order, and he was very willing to accommodate my requests. Great customer service! I was so surprised when I got the cake as well, as I wasn’t expecting them to write my happy birthday message right on the cake! I read online that some bakeries will write the message on a piece of clear plastic and place it on the cake, but the bakers did a beautiful job on this cake. And it was DELICIOUS!!! I plan on buying any future cakes here. I’m excited to try out their bread selection too :)

Weird Taiwanese Japanese bakery mashup? Lots of older Asian ladies swarm this place. Got a longan muffin, green tea pastry and custard bun. Also got a matcha latte. Solid all around. Off beat locale slightly hidden. If you like baked goods and caffeine this is a good stop if youre in the area

Taiwanese bakery and snack place. Bakery is not sweet like the americanized versions of asian bakeries. Healthier and you can taste the individual ingredients like the tartness of blueberries in blueberry bread. Cakes are cheaper and customizable unlike the popular paris baguette. Homestyle bakery serves noodles sandwiches rice bowls etc…

I grew up eating the Asian breads from this bakery, but now that I have adult taste buds(lol) I have to admit that L’epi D’or is just alright. Breads are not bad, I always feel like they’re raising the prices. My fav pork sung cheese bread is $ 2 now. Skip the bentos. I got the crispy chicken bento yesterday and it was flavorless, dry, rice was not tasty… and $ 7 to boot! I got a green milk tea with pearls too($ 3) which was large and average. Not a strong flavor but not a bad one either.

Their fresh baked buns are delicious! I always come here in the mornings around 9am when I visit my aunt so we can get the breads that have been baked fresh out of the oven. Even when they have breads that haven’t been put out yet, they will grab them off of the cooling racks for you and you can eat a piping hot asian bakery good :) My favourite is the pineapple bun. They do the top of the bun perfectly! A little bit crispy on the top and warm and chewy on the inside. They have a large selection of breads so there’s always something for everyone!

My family is a longtime customer of Lepi Dor… so we know the customer and the mannerisms of this place. New customers and those who don’t speak Chinese might feel a bit intimidated or put-off because the cashiers are usually fob college kids or older matrons who don’t speak fluent English. However, don’t let that discourage you from coming here! I’ve had so many bakery items from their dan ta to mochi and of course their birthday cakes. My family has ordered and bought birthday cakes from Lepi Dor and 85… Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s cheesecakes – you name it! BUT Lepi Dor always wins. We always get the 11 in’ cake(totally fine for a family of 4 – you can always eat the leftovers for breakfast again and again!) and LOVE the fresh fruits and light vanilla cake for the fruit birthday cake. Be SURE about the spelling because every time we’ve been there the Asian ladies never spell our family members’ names right! I’ve also had their pearl milk tea in previous years and it’s just alright. I’d recommend sticking with their fresh cakes here and bakery items. Service can be a hit or miss in the tight space of a bakery, but once you walk in you can always smell the yummy aromas of the butter and dough – YES! This is a long-standing establishment, so you know that they have loyal customers going again and again. They also have a loyalty card program where you can give them your card(like an account of sorts) and just pay through your account every time you go in – so no more reaching for annoying change or that credit card!

One word to describe the girl with the glasses, RUDE! I’ve been here many times before and the service has been ok. Nothing that stands out of the ordinary. But today, the service was horrible. Listen, I get that it’s Sunday mid-morning but a job is still a job. Customer service is still customer service no matter what time of day. I looked over the other reviews and noticed I am the third person today to complain about the service. That says something. The pastries aren’t spectacular. It’s certainly not a place where you go out of your way for. There’s plenty of competition within minutes of this place. A saving grace for this place is that it does serve sandwiches and other lunch type items. But really, there are a lot of restaurants across the street too. If you want to retain your customers, start working on building your customer service.

Yummm! Another amazing asian bakery near my hood, hehe. Small sized bakery, but offers great selections of Taiwanese baked goods. Come here almost every week, and each time, I switch it up and try out something new. I always come back, though, for their custard buns(chocolate and original), spicy hot dog bun, and spicy tuna pork bun. They also sell lunch/dinner box items, but IMO they taste pretty bland. I also love their new interior. It gives more of a spacious, modern look and it doesn’t feel too cramped anymore. Yay!

I was searching for a breakfast restaurant on Unilocal that serves sticky rice roll and I came across this bakery place. Honestly by looking at the name I would have no idea this bakery is even Taiwanese related but after reading some reviews, decided to give it a try. Came on weekday around 8:30am and I was the only customer. The shelves were half full with bread; the cashier told me the kitchen was preparing and brought me to the bread cart at the kitchen door and chose from there. I like the fact that she actually explained to me what each bread type was and noted which one was spicy etc. At the cashier they sold additional pastry such as pepper bun, radish bun etc which are the usual items to be found in Night market in Taiwan. -) BBQ Pork Bun: B+. Quite a lot of BBQ pork inside, but most were a bit on the fat side. I think it’s just me that I like 半肥瘦(half fat lean) BBQ pork. -) Tuna Bun: A-. A lot of tuna and it had some green onion taste. I liked it a lot. -) Red Bean Taro Bun: B+. The bun was fully filled with red bean and taro, but the bun itself was so so. If they can switch to crispy type I would like it better. -) Rice Roll: A-. Not bad, portion was small but it sort of satisfied my craving for rice roll. More dried shredded pork would make it better. -) Radish Bun: B+. Lots of radish inside with mushroom too. But not hot enough. When I was leaving the lady boss talked with me for a bit and further introduced what they have. She highly recommended me to bring my friends there for lunch because they have got some nice lunch boxes options. She also mentioned any of their tea drinks are good. Okay! I think I will give it a try for lunch next time! To make a comparison, I don’t think their bread is as soft as 85 degree C. But I started getting tired of 85’s bread selection. This place to some extent is more traditional Taiwanese and Chinese focus. I don’t mind to come back for another round of breakfast again.
