Lisa’s Lovely Calligraphy

Lisa was freakin’ FANTASTIC. This review is a little late but she did our wedding invitations last summer. First, Lisa was able to provide me samples of her work and she worked with me to get the type of print that I wanted. Second, once we figured out how many envelopes, the names of the people, etc, Lisa got to workin’ and she was FAST! I believe that I provided her with half the payment and all the envelopes on a Thursday and everything was prepared that following Friday. Everything was done perfectly and Lisa was very professional in all of our dealings. I would DEFINITELY recommend her!

Beware!!! Worst experience ever. I hired her to write my envelopes for my wedding. They turned out lovely, but her customer service skills are horrible. She said it woi ld take 5 days to complete evvelopes, it took two weeks. She said she would provide a sample of one envelope before she completed the rest. she never did. She spelled one name wrong and forgot two names. She had told me she kept extra envelopes of mine in case there were mIstakes. When I contacted her to let her know about the errors, she said she would fix them and send them out. Five days later and no envelopes. I emailed her letting her know I never received them. She said she did mail them but would send again priority mail and send Ty he tracking number. GUESS WHAT?! I NEVER RECEIVED THEM and she never replied to my e-​mails. I never heard from her. In fact, the whole time she was terrible at communicating. I hired another caligrapher for my seating arrangements. Do not use this lady! !!

I can’t rate her actual work because it never got that far. So I’m only rating the customer service I received.
I contacted Lisa for some wedding calligraphy several times. Her prices were competitive and the samples on her website looked great. First, I called and left messages by phone with no luck. Finally, I emailed her hoping that would work. I got a very late response, but she did respond. She told me that she had been on vacation and that she would be calling me later on that day. Okay, understandable, although she probably should have left a notice on her website. I would have just gone ahead and called her back at that point, but honestly I wanted to see if she would follow through and get in touch with me like she promised. When she didn’t, my time frame was way smaller and I got the impression that I couldn’t depend on her, so I moved on and hired someone else.
