I chose this business based on previous Unilocal reviews. I found these reviews to be quite accurate. PPM tests all items on site transparently with precision.
I did business with Todd as a seller and left with cash in hand and the comfort of knowing that transactions are handled fairly and accurately. Todd handled the financial aspect efficiently and transparently. I had items previously appraised with other gold buyers and found PPM percentages competitive. Precision almost to a fault, as I discovered that someone I care for was taken advantage of on a couple of items by a less than reputable jeweler. Let me preface this by saying I generally don’t do a lot of Unilocal reviews. As you can tell. So I was at PPM today and purchased an AGE and a 10gr Pamp bar. I decided to write a review because I have been purchasing gold in the area for quite some time and have frequented PPM and possibly all the other coin shops in the area. I know professionalism and good prices over spot.
As I was saying I was at PPM today and i had the pleasure to deal with Todd, who was very knowledgable and professional. I am used to dealing with John but to my understanding has moved on. They had a lot of different bullion to choose from. They had Maples, AGE, Philharmonics, and some lunar gold as well as pamp and RMC bars to choose from. Needless to say I was not disappointed in the variety.
I have sold gold coins back to PPM and always get a fair price at buy back.
PPM is very clean very professional and very secure, and i would recommend it to anyone looking to purchase pm. Only thing that surprised me is i was going to be charged $ 3.00 for an airtight on a $ 1,500+ purchase… i opted for the free flip :)

Went through trouble receiving payment. Not a good experience.

Very secure location. Gave fair percent of the current spot price for all the gold and silver jewelry I wasn’t fond of and rarely wore. X-​rayed everything to ensure purity and removed all the stones for me.
The office is located on the second floor of the shopping center.

Clean, professional, high-​tech. I’ve visited other places to sell my scrap metal, but I come back to Dan and John at PPM. Why?
1) Clean and safe. This isn’t a dingy pawn shop, it’s a professional office in a good location.
2) High-​tech. Dan’s x-​ray machine can evaluate and assess the quality and value of scrap gold with precision and certainty. Other shops rely on ‘good guessing’ at best.
3) Great prices. Dan pays out competitively compared to other shops in the area.
I’m also considering investing in boullion in the next year. I won’t hesitate to give PPM my business because I know I can trust Dan and his team.

My buying experience with Pacific Precious Metal has been first class. Everyone has been friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and very professional. I could not be any more satisfied with PPM and Dan. I would recommend this company to anyone for buying or selling bullion.

Many gold and jewelry buyers are scam artists or are jokers a la «Pawn Stars» looking to buy cheap and sell dear. Not PPM. PPM staff are professional and if you are looking to buy or sell bullion coins or bars PPM actually posts their «Buy» and «Sell» prices online so there are no surprises when it is time to close the deal.
You can determine how fair a dealer is through their Bid and Ask spread. The tighter the spread the less of a cut they are making on the trade. A fair dealer will have a spread of less than 4% and at current prices PPM’s spread is about 3%. Considering that they take on the carry risk this is a very fair spread indeed.
I have added PPM to my short list of precious metal dealers and highly recommend them if you are looking to buy or sell bullion. They also trade in diamonds, silver/​gold jewelry and flatware but I have not done business with them in any of these items so have no recommendation except to say that if they are as fair in these items as they are with bullion than you will be in good hands.

I’ve done business with them at both their locations in Cupertino and Sausalito. I must say that the service is very professional and competitive. I was provided sufficient information over phone before I visited them and the transaction at their location was smooth and friendly.

I’m really happy let other people know about Pacific Precious Metals. I was interested in purchasing gold and silver and didn’t know where to begin. I found Pacific Precious Metals through other glowing Unilocal reviews, and was really glad to find they had a new office open in my area.
While shady looking storefronts screaming «WE BUY GOLD!» seem to abound everywhere, I had a hard time finding a seller that gave me a 100% good feeling about their business. Pacific Precious Metals really stands out as the most professional, trustworthy source for metals purchases. I have also observed Dan Barrett assaying other customers jewelry and coins that they have brought in, and was impressed with his knowledge and honest advice as to its value, what he could pay for it, and whether they might profit more from finding a private buyer. Very honest advice with no pressure.
He also offers specials on bullion purchases regularly, and his pricing is competitive with any online purchase establishment.
You can’t beat Pacific Precious Metals as your local buying and selling source. I really couldn’t be happier with my experiences with them!

I baught Gold from Dan. Dan gave me a very competetive price. He was lower than most Indian and Vietnamese vendors i had enquired with. Best part is he used his X ray flurosence machine to prove that his gold is original and pure. I tested his machine on my ring and it showed me the correct number. Overall, Dan is awesome.
