They carry all the department store lines of Shiseido cosmetics and skin care products here, including Qiora, which is why this is my Shiseido shop. They have a «customer appreciation» program, which means they tally your purchases over a year, and depending on how much you spend, they’ll send you a discount card the following January that’s valid for 90 days. They’re not stingy on free samples, which are smaller versions of the products on offer. And by smaller versions, I don’t mean sample packets. I mean small bottles and tubes that can last weeks and are great for traveling. Just yesterday I walked out with about $ 30 worth of cleansers and toners in free samples. I’m lucky if I get one free sample when I shop at the Shiseido counter at Macys in Fresno. Finally, Vee’s takes phone orders. I’m 2.5 hours away, and if I can’t make the drive they will take my order over the phone and mail me what I want. In five years I’ve never had a problem doing this. Not bad service at all. Not being able to speak Chinese has been a challenge for me shopping here sometimes. A few of their clerks are really, really limited in their English, so I’ve had to wait while they hunt down an English-speaking colleague. And I’ve sometimes had to go through quite a bit of paralinguistic maneuvering to make myself understood. But this is Cupertino Village, so I’m cool with it.
