Prefer the Campbell location. The food was bland and the tzatziki was gross and runny.

I love the gyros here. The pita bread is always soft and delicious. They have indoor and outdoor seating. When the weather is bad finding a seat can be challenging since the indoor seating is more limited. Best for groups less than 6 since there isn’t a lot of flexibility with the tables and setup.

Yiassoo is an easy five stars for me. I had the special yiassoo burger(with lamb meat). That meat was done to perfection! The synergy with the pita bread and the vegetables was divine. And the price? Under $ 10. Magnificent.

Two stars, only because their chicken souvlaki plates are so tasty! That’s the good, now for the bad, and yep… the ugly. On my last visit, I was craving my usual chicken souvlaki plate. I walked in at 5pm for a quick takeout dinner. No wait to order, awesome! After ordering, I waited about 15 minutes. No food, but no big deal right? I mean even though it’s rare to wait for so long for food at Yiasso, usually a 15 minute wait for food is no biggie. I should’ve taken that as a clue. My food came out a few minutes later, and it didn’t look like my usual chicken souvlaki, but when I asked the guy at the counter, he said just try it. They were out of chicken… so he said to try the lamb. It’s really good, he said. Well since I’d already been there almost 30 minutes, I resigned myself to trying the lamb. BADIDEA. It was really gamey tasting, and I couldn’t finish it. Threw away almost all the lamb and ended up with only rice, salad, fries for dinner. The UGLY came about 2 hours later. I’ll spare y’all the deets, but my toilet bowl can attest. It was real ugly in there that night. So go for the tasty chicken souvlaki, but beware if those guys try to push some other«options» at you.

The place is clean and small. The gyros sandwich is a must try with extra sauce. Top it with a homemade baklava delicious! I got to try the plates combos for dinner they all look so good.

Another fantastic meal at Yiassoo! Usually we go to the Campbell location, but we were in Cupertino so came here. We all ordered the half chicken dinner, and it was amazing! The chicken meat falls off the bones it is so tender, and they offer a little cup of sauce to dip it in, which is delicious. Rice, and pita triangles, and a side salad complete the meal. This is one of my favorite things to order at Yiassoo, and it never fails to be delightful.

Best gyro in South Bay. Wow, I have been looking good gyros in the bay area and this is it. The meat is well seasoned and is grilled a bit after slicing and to get it a bit crispy. The tzatziki is delicious and the tomatoes and onions are fresh and tasty. The bread is thick, chewy, with a little crisp as if it was grilled a bit as well, and the whole thing is served piping hot. The portion for the regular gyro is generous, and if that’s not enough you can get the super gyro for extra meat and added feta. We came once last weekend and are now totally addicted. This place is 20min away but we’ve come the last three weekend days. Highly recommended!

Gyros here are really good for really decent prices! The regular gyros sandwich is sufficiently big for $ 6.95, but if it’s not enough, they have the«super» version for $ 9.20, which comes with extra meat and feta cheese. In both cases, the meats are delicious and juicy! The tzatziki sauce was addicting(and nicely chilled) and the pita bread was thick and very filling. Their feta cheese was really good(in the gyros, it comes as a stick) and I wish I had ordered the fries(the pictures of this are drool-inducing)! Yiassoo is more of a take-out place, as you order and pay first, then pick up your food(all on disposable dishware), or you can order to-go ahead of time(via phone or online). There aren’t many seats inside, but there are also a few tables outside if the weather permits. I waited quite a bit to get my food even though there were only a few parties in the restaurant, so when I come again, I would probably order ahead to save time. But overall, the service was pretty good, the gyros was tasty, and sandwiches were even wrapped up nicely with one end open for easy eating!

Super Gyro = Super Delicious. They have the best lamb/beef combination in my opinion. And the Greek fries are fantastic

I love this place! There aren’t many Greek/Mediterranean places around Cupertino, but this is definitely one of my favorites. This may be one of the few places where I order the same thing and I never get tired of it. Food: 5 stars For sure. I love their gyros(I always get their gyros plate), and it comes with your choice of fries or rice. Just a tip, make sure you enunciate when you say«fries» or «rice» because I’ve gotten those mixed up a lot: P The food comes out really quickly too! Service: 4 stars This place technically counts as a fast food restaurant, since there are no waiters serving you, so I mean service can’t really be 5 stars for a cashier. But out of the hundred times I’ve come here, I’ve never had a bad experience with them and they’re all really polite and friendly. Environment: 4 stars This place is kind of small, and it can get really busy around lunchtime. I do enjoy their outdoor seating though and it’s perfect to sit outside on a sunny day. I think that if they spiced up the decorations a little bit, it would make this place much more appealing. Overall, I truly do love this place and I can count on it for a good priced gyro!

Best in my option Gyro in town and in this area. Lots of meat and sauce is bomb. It’s hard to find a place for the price and quality and quantity. The fried calamari is good too :)

I love this place! The outside of this restaurant isn’t too appealing, so I’ve never stopped by. My boyfriend showed me this place and the food is so good! I usually order the chicken souvlaki sandwich with a side of fries. I sometimes stop by before class because the food doesn’t take too long. The sandwich usually takes around 10 – 15 minutes. Stop by Yiassoo if you haven’t already!

Went to this place today to grab dinner! I’m a pretty picky eater but since coming to California I decided to branch out a bit. This place is the beez neez :) I have the; Steak sandwich, Greek fries, chicken and beef kabobs. The white sauce as well but I can’t remember the name of it. I came around 4:30pm so it wasn’t really crowded. There were 4 people in the restaurant waiting for food. The inside looks like it can fit about 20 people. Theres some outside seating as well. Place looked clean and the kid taking the orders explained some things to me. He was polite and courteous. It took about 5 – 6 minutes for the food to come out. There was only 2 guys working… One taking the orders the other was cooking. Definitely want to come back here; For the; Steak sandwich, Greek fries, chicken and beef kabobs(5 pieces each meat) Everything came to $ 21 Part of the secret of a success in life is to eat what you like and let the food fight it out inside. — Mark Twain

This review is SO delayed but better late than never! The first time I tried Yiassoo, I got the gyro and wasn’t a huge fan because I don’t like lamb. The next time I went, I got the Chicken Souvlaki plate and FELLINLOVE. The chicken is kind of dry compared to other restaurants, but I love the other things I get with the souvlaki. It comes with chicken, rice or fries, pita, and salad(tomatoes, cucumbers, green bell peppers, olives, red onion, and feta cheese drizzled with a light dressing). The rice is always fluffy and the pita is nice and soft. Portion is big and makes you feel like you’re getting your money’s worth! If you like feta cheese, definitely try the greek fries!!! I usually get my order to-go so I call 10 minutes in advance and it’s always ready for me by the time I get there!

On the road to the coast and travelling with kids, we were in need of some quick meals that wouldn’t break the bank but are not the typical unhealthy fast food fare. Yiassoo came rated highly on Unilocal and fit all of the above requirements and wasn’t too far from the freeway. The building Yiassoo calls home looks like one of the old Taco Bells; modified Greek style. The inside is very simple and clean, with wall décor not getting in the way or being overbearing. The service is at the counter, both order and pickup. We ordered Gyro sandwiches, Greek fries, and kids chicken skewers. The prices are reasonable for both the quality and the quantity of food. Gyro meat was fresh and soft, and mixed in with tomatoes, onions and tzatziki perfectly. Yiassoo has a real winner right here! The Greek fries(olive oil, feta cheese, spices) were solid but slightly under cooked in few places which made them a bit soggy. If they crisped the fries a bit more, I’d definitely consider coming all the way to Cupertino just for the fries. Kids chicken skewers were also nice and moist and came with fries. These are surely to fill the little ones tummies! If we find ourselves in this part of the South Bay again and need a quick and delicious meal, Yiassoo will surely be one option to consider. Simple and tasty, this is no-frills dining at it’s best right in Cupertino.

Delicious gyro! The tomatoes and purple onions were fresh, the meat was WONDERFUL and bite-sized, and the pita wrap was perfect. Oh and can’t forget the yogurt sauce:) Nothing spectacular about the ambience or service BUT the food was great!

I was craving a Greek salad and this was the closest place to my house that wasn’t a grocery store with them. I ordered the chicken Greek salad to go and it definitely hit the spot. It was huge and was only able to eat about half of it. Even though I wasn’t super hungry, I still could’ve made it into two meals by adding more lettuce. The best part of the salad was the sauces and the fresh pita. There was a dressing and a yogurt sauce. I’ll be back and get this salad to go again but I’ll probably ask for an extra sauce and get an additional pita. It was that good!

We were around the area last year the day after Thanksgiving. Found this place on Unilocal and was quite intrigued why it had lots of great reviews. It wasn’t busy when we got here. I got the gyro salad and husband got the super gyro. It was a big portion but my husband killed it. It was really delicious. My favorite mediterranean food is from Truly Mediterranean in SF but I think this one is better. Gasp! Well I’ve been wanting to go back here to give it a try again, but it’s kind of out of my way. So for now, the five star stands.

I would get a vanity plate that read YIASSOO, that’s how much I love this place! I’ve been coming here for years, and I’ve seen this charming little Greek tavern blossom into a real forerunner of the Cupertino(or South Bay as a whole) dining scene. I liked the food here more than any place I tried when I was in Greece, Santorini, or Crete! My go-to is the chicken souvlaki plate. They always manage to keep white chicken breast meat juicy and tender, which is hard to do, especially via grilling. The meat is so flavorful, you can taste the smoke of the grill and all the spices in the marinade. Mmmmm I’m drooling just thinking about it. The tzatziki sauce is my favorite tzatziki I’ve ever tried — light and refreshing yet garlicky. Their pita bread is also some of the best I’ve ever had, thick and chewy and perfectly browned. The side salad is authentic — not a lettuce leaf in sight. The veggies are always crisp, fresh and generously portioned. I order for pickup all the time, and on several occasions, one of the owners has actually seen me pull up in the parking lot, grabbed my ready and bagged order, and brought it directly to me in my car. Amazing service AND food? Five stars don’t even do it justice!

We ordered the chicken souvlaki wrap & gyro wrap with a side of Greek fries. This might be a skewed review because I was super hungry, but the wraps were too small for their $ 7 price point. I wanted to order a second one just to satisfy my hunger. They tasted good, but kind of plain/empty feeling. Just meat, tomatoes and a white sauce which didn’t taste like the ordinary tzatziki. The Greek fries were good, but had a lot of feta and not enough garlic. Definitely paired well with the wraps. Overall– good food, but not a great value.

it’s a 3.5. Very interesting Greek American fast food! tastes great, big portion, quite similar in many aspects to what my best friend’s Greek wife cooks in her restaurant in France! Greek fries are FUN! nice, tasty, it brings a modern taste to their home made fries. Try toe Gyros salad, refreshing and tasty. Beef BBQ sticks were way over cooked.

I’m in love with Yiasoo — a perfect balance of tasty food, reasonable prices, a casual vibe and good portions contribute to this 5-star rating. I was in the area doing some shopping on my own. I Unilocaled restaurants where I could eat by myself without feeling like a nerd. At the counter, I ordered a chicken souvlaki sandwich(which is basically a gyro with chicken instead of lamb/beef), a side of Greek fries and a soda for $ 13ish. I found a seat inside and only had to wait a few minutes for my food. They called my number and I picked up the tray which included bottles of ketchup and white sauce. The chicken souvlaki sandwich hit the spot! A soft and warm pita draped around juicy hot chicken chunks contrasted with the fresh lettuce, tomatoes, red onion and tzatziki sauce inside. Mouthgasm seriously. The Greek fries portion is way too big for one person. I would recommend splitting it with someone. The fries were crispy, piping hot and smothered with feta cheese and herbs. So dang delicious. While I was eating, there were a slew of people coming in to dine in or get take out. For a non-descript old Taco Bell building, this place is pretty popular, even during non-meal times. I left feeling a little too full, which is a sign that I liked it a lot and kept eating when I shouldn’t have. Yiasoo’s menu is reasonably priced compared to other establishments in Silicon Valley. The portions are great and the food tastes fresh. I highly recommend giving it a try. Lots of bang for your buck.
