We didn’t stay at the lodge, but stopped at the restaurant for lunch while spending the day at Custer State Park. I had the buffalo chili which was some of the BEST chili I’ve ever had! I ate an entire bowl, part of my husband’s bowl, and used quite a bit of self constraint in deciding not to order another one. My son had the best buffalo burger yet, and one of us orders one everytime we are anywhere they are offered. Come here for lunch and order anything with buffalo!

Great breakfast menu. Impeccable service. Buffalo fried steak was moist and tender and tasty with excellent gravy! It came with hash brown potatatoes, 2 eggs and 2 pieces of toast.

Best Chai Latte! They may not have found gold in the 1800s here but we certainly struck gold with the coffee found in this Black Hills S.D. Inn.
