WOW Cafe

New place and I’m very disappointed. Service was great. Place is clean but the food was very bland. I think I bit into more chicken bristle than meat.

Had a cup of gumbo and a burger along with 2 brews. The gumbo was decent, had good flavor but it was a small cup. The burger was a Louisville ½ pound burger, lettuce, onion ring and jack cheese, it was good, I would have it again. The staff working was friendly and helpful. Overall it was a good eating experience and would eat here again.

I’ve been here a few times since its recent opening and loved everything except the wings. This is a disappointment since the name is ‘world of wings’ and it is the only wing place within 30 miles! Burgers are always awesome and the tea is always perfect!

Facts:
–I dined in alone, and chose to sit at the bar.
–The Kentucky club salad was good, and very large, with generous croutons and prices of fried chicken breast.
–Even though the tap handles are up for draft beer, and displays a very decent selection, it is still not working.
–A very inebriated customer struck up a conversation with me & commented about my choice to eat a salad. I brushed it and him off, and enjoyed my meal silently.
–The place was not crowded, which I liked — but plays into the next fact…
–After my 3^rd cold bottled beer, and finishing my meal, my check was delivered. I was sitting at the bar and planned to have a few more and continue watching ESPN. (it is Friday evening after all, and the restaraunt is a short short walk from my hotel)
–The bartenders boyfriend was sitting at the end of the bar «bodyguarding» every spoken word made to her. He even moved to different stools to listen in on meaningless conversations. Three times.
–I may or may not return for the atmosphere, more likely order to go than dine in.

Chill place but the food nasty asf. Cheese Fries salty asf. Boneless Buffalo Wings don’t have a taste (Buffalo Sauce II). Smh, awesome place but what I ordered tasted horribly bland.

Worst service I have ever had!!! If your not a local you are invisible. Food is good but service sucks!

Overall, I had a decent dining experience here. I ate here on the first Thursday after opening, as I have been eagerly awaiting for them to open the doors, looking forward to a new dining experience in the area. However, in hindisght, I feel they opened too soon.
My server did a good job of making us feel welcome. Then it went a little downhill from there. My drink was flat, as they had not figured out the workings of the machine yet, so instead I ordered a draft beer, only to find out that machine had not been installed yet…
I ordered extreme nachos, only to find out they weren’t extreme at all. plenty in terms of quantity, if you like nachos with zero topping on them this is the dish for you!
The rest of the food was ok (salad was great, wings were ok, ribs were somewhat tough). However, my experience was a little interrupted with the staff arguing and bickering amongst themselves right next to me. The gentleman next to me went through three steaks as they consistently delivered the wrong temperature. I witnessed the manager having to ask him on the third attempt if he wanted it cooked more, or cooked less, but he walked off without letting the man reply to try again.
I expected teething problems, but it appears very little training or preparation was done. As I said, I wish this would have opened a week later, and was prepared to deliver the experience I know they are capable of.
Negatives aside, I had an o. k experience here. We will be back, and I look forward to revising my review. I just hope they can rise to the expectation.

Awesome place for good bar food that’s conveniently placed within walking distance from two hotels.
We went during the first day of their public opening and it was pretty packed. The owners must have expected this because they definitely had the staff to cater to everyone. There was no wait for us and our orders were taken pretty quickly.
We filled our table with appetizers first. We got deep fried mushrooms, nachos, shrimp, deep fried pickles, and a plate of fries. The deep fried mushrooms are a must get!!! Totally worth the calories!
I ordered the rib and wings combo. I had the Thai paradise as the flavor. It was pretty good — not really spicy and full of flavor. The ribs were good too, but I noticed some parts of it was still cold to the touch. My coworkers plate was the same. The Mac and cheese that it came with was ok.
It’s their first day so I didn’t mind the partially cold food. The service that day was excellent.
I’ll be giving this place another try after they work their kinks.

So excited to have a family, friendly franchise down the bayou! Food and atmosphere was excellent! Great spot to hang out… Came on the first day of soft opening, little hiccups here and there, but judging by the crowd it was understandable… was still very impressed with food and service. will definitely return especially to try out that sundae!!!
