First, I have to say I love Publix! It is my absolute favorite grocery store, hands down! Even at this location(closest to home), I can usually find what I need. The bakery is great, the deli is fantastic, and most of the employees in the meat and seafood departments are very helpful. I do not typically need to go to customer service counter but on the few occasions that I have, they have been very nice and helpful. My issue is with the lack of customer service in several areas. Customer service in produce and grocery are hit or miss. You can find assistance but they are not actively trying to help. More times that not(especially in grocery) they seemed bothered by questions(hint…stop what you are doing and show me where the item I am asking about is. I am asking because I don’t know and you do. Please help me.) and give as little assistance as possible. The last and biggest issue for me is the lack of customer service in the checkout lines. This issue is mostly isolated to the younger cashiers(male and female and not just 1 or 2). If you want to put teenagers at the registers(or assisting customers in grocery) and be the last interaction customers have before leaving the store, train them how to properly interact with customers or people in general for that matter(tip…Smile, make eye contact, say hello, ask a question or 2, smile again and make more eye contact, say thank you and good bye… and at least pretend to like people). Tighten up! Im rooting for you!

SKIPTHEWELLAGEDFISHINTHEFISHDEPARTMENT This Publix is staffed with very helpful friendly employees and has a good produce department. The Fish Department Manager does seem a bit creepy, but that is not the issue. The Modus Operandi of what I would describe as the aged fish department might most objectively be illustrated by taking a look at the«In store prepared» packaged sushi on display. The rolls without fake crab are packaged on their side. The rolls with the fake crab are turned to hide the fake crab. Now take a look at the strips of «tuna» and«salmon» in the sushi. Look pretty normal unless you buy the sushi and take a close look. I don’t know what that«tuna» and«salmon» really can be, but it seems like some kind of reconstituted fish jelly. If you look at the dates on the packaged salmon at the fish department you might see dates very close to expiration. Remember, the true definition of fresh fish is fish that is not frozen and not so old it can’t be sold. :) The Fish Department Manager looks like a guy who never saw a fish he didn’t like(unless it was so old he couldn’t sell it) A better bet at that store if you need fish and don’t want sardines, would be the frozen fish. You don’t know where its been or where its from, but the likelihood of having been frozen while still fairly fresh, is higher. One cause of old fish can be when a department manager gets an over ride as is likely the situation in this fish department. An over ride is credit for high sales. Makes discarding old fish really painful to the department manager. The unsavory sushi practices at this Publix may also be practiced at other Publixes. The Sushi prepared in store has the name of a company different from Publix(possibly to avoid liability) but I contend that the Sushi is a direct reflection of the policy of the fish department.

This Publix today was pretty impressive. Not too many people. The staff is so friendly and helpful when you can’t find what you’re looking for. They even anticipate your needs when they sense you’re having issues and you can’t find your item. The store is clean and well stocked. My only issue is the parking. It’s hard to find a space. I believe the town is relocating this Publix to accommodate the need for more space. This area is growing substantially.

Very worst Publix I have ever walked into in regards to service. online orders are never ever ready from the deli. Staff is rude and unapologetic. there is a blonde short haired manager who is beyond rude. the only publix in Miami that says they can’t give out quarters. Also has the most poorly designed parking lot ever.

This is a pretty good grocery store. The staff is relatively friendly and helpful by Florida standards. As others have said the parking lot is something out of a nightmare. Zero cart returns here which is a really dumb design. I just park farther away near the street entrance and spend an extra 30 seconds walking to avoid the maze of inconsiderate morons waiting indefinitely in no parking lanes or camping spots and blocking everyone’s way.

My fave publix close by. Staff is friendly and helpful. Store is very clean. Parking lot is truly a nightmare. You can’t see, no one pays attention — horrible. Park as far from the store as you can, get a blocks walk in and reward yourself with key lime pie from the bakery. Out of all the publix in the area, I will still only go here even with the bad parking.

This is the closest publix to us, the service and friendliness of all employees here is 5 or 10 stars !!! But, the produce is a 3 star the meat is a 1 star… Comparing the quality of items in both meat and produce to the publix @ dadeland it almost seems that this publix gets the rejected quality items from the dadeland publix.

This Publix is conveniently located near my home, but that’s the only thing«convenient» about it. The parking lot is nearly impossible to enter or exit during peak hours. They rarely have enough cashiers to handle the extreme volume of customers. Also they recently repaved the parking lot to make it «prettier», but they should have used the money to add additional parking. Not best use of funds. I do however give this store 2 stars because the produce employee, who is there almost always, is the friendliest and most helpful Publix employee I have ever met. Always ready to help and answer questions.

This is my favorite Publix to shop at. It has way more variety than the other 3 close to my house and the renovations they recently did makes this Publix more appealing to the customers. I’m giving this Publix a 4 star because the parking lot is horrendous!

Maybe this isn’t fair, but my thoughts on this Publix are biased, because the parking lot is a complete NIGHTMARE. The store itself is OK, the service is OK, but the parking lot is NOTOK. I guess when they designed this shopping center, back in, say…1987(and i remember when it went up), they didn’t anticipate Cutler Ridge/Bay being as overpopulated as it is now. Fair enough, but I can’t get past the horrible, rude drivers that flood into that parking lot on a daily basis. People cut you off, slam their door into your car, leave their shopping carts by your car, and are just plain rude. I guess they’re angry at having to shop at the Publix with the worst parking lot, too.

I really wish I lived closer to this Publix. It’s all about the customer service here. I was babysitter my niece and decided to be helpful by going to Publix for my sister, since she was working. I get there and pull Joey from her car seat, by the time I have her out and the car locked there is a cart right there for me. A bagger saw me getting the baby from the car, so he brought one of the carts he was pushing back over to me. I don’t come to this store enough to be recognized, but apparently Joey does, every time I saw someone I got«oh, you must be Michelle’s brother, hi Joey!». And the final straw was when I got to the car. I don’t know if the bagger could tell it was my first time shopping with a baby, or simply did it for everyone with a kid, but he followed me out even though I said I was good and I’m glad he did. The parking lot sucks, it’s really angled and the spots are smallish, so when I get to the car and start taking Joey out, the cart tries to roll. Before I have a chance to turn, he has it, and is starting to load for me. This is a store, where everyone seems to go above and beyond.

Dude, talk about service! I was looking at the Stoneyfield(organic) yogurt. I was trying to find nonfat blueberry and was rummaging around a bit to make sure I wasn’t missing it and they really were out. When I got over towards the eggs, one of the stock boys who does the ordering said excuse me m’am, I saw you were looking through the Stoneyfield yogurt, they shorted the last order, I apologize for that. We should have it in next time. The attention they pay their customers is commendable. There are a great deal of employees that greet my daughter by name when we come in the store.

This is my local Publix… I live right around the corner from it. If it wasn’t located so close to my house I would probably choose to go to a different location, not because the inside of the store is bad or anything. As a matter of a fact that store is pretty well kept on the inside. The reason why I would go to another Publix is because the parking at this Publix sucks… especially if you go during peak hours after everyone gets off of work. Sometimes I feel like driving down to the Publix thats on US1 and Eureka but this one on Old Cutler is just so convenient because I could ride my bike there if I choose to.

I used to live in this area a few years ago. This place has always been extremely crowded and ridiculous to find a parking spot. It is also in need of a nice deep cleaning and just somehow feels old. However, this is my favourite place to get the Publix-made Key Lime Pie. No other Publix in S. Florida seems to make it quite as tasty. This one gets one star for having the normal Publix service(not really note-worthy, however not bad) and one star for their amazing Key Lime Pie. Otherwise, yes, find another place to do your shopping if at all possible.

I like my Publix and scoff if I have to go into another grocery store. People are always so helpful and friendly in this store. It’s clean, stock persons are polite, produce and meat personnel smile at you and help you without being asked. It’s never a mess and even the security guard they have in the front smiles and greets you when you enter. As everyone else says, the parking lot is terrible. So terrible that I once strayed from my beloved Publix to go to the location on quail roost and us 1… it wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t the same. :)
