Positives: The technician solved my problem by replacing an AC capacitor that had gone bad. The technician was quick to diagnose and fix. Clearly experienced and well prepared to handle random AC problems. Was available by text as well as the phone. Accepted credit cards and provided a detailed invoice and electronic receipt of payment via email. The technician was polite. Took the time to explain his pricing when I objected to it(which I appreciate). Negatives: The technician said he would come between 12 and 1PM. When he didn’t show up by 1PM, had to text him. Moved the appointment time to 2:30PM on the fly, which caused me a bit of coordination pain(have children in school, etc.). Charged me $ 200 to replace a $ 30 part, which I felt was excessive considering his service call fee was $ 85. Offered to put back my bad part(effectively breaking the AC again) but still had to pay him $ 85 for his service visit. The technician’s solution was poor mitigation to a clearly disappointed customer in regards to pricing. While overall polite, the technician made a comment that«he had thousands of customers and even installed a $ 9000AC unit that morning.» Not sure what his intent was. Nonetheless, his stance made me feel like not all customers were equal to the company. Given my paltry«$ 200,» I was clearly on the low end of that spectrum. Bottom line: They will probably do a good job for you. And you will likely overpay for the service. I rate them 2 of 5 stars. In the service business, I’ve experienced better service quality-to-price ratio.

Our A/C stopped cooling our house earlier this evening. I called Unitech Air and the owner himself responded to the service call in less than 20 minutes(After hours/9PM on a Tuesday). After a quick diagnosis, a part was replaced, our A/C System was topped off/charged and we were enjoying the nice A/C again!
