Best thing we did was leave… waited for almost 25 minutes, no chips & no water No waiter Forgot all about us. So we walked out. So we are now eating at Martha’s Mexican Food, way better choice and awesome service –5-star for Martha’s !!!

Hands down my favorite Mexican Food. I seriously crave this place and must go in at least once or twice a month! Will drive the 15 – 20 miles out of way to get a heaping pile of Espie Chips! By far the best Chili Verde Chips ANYWHERE! The homemade chips are definitely what make it. Also good tacos, chiliquilles & awesome michelada’s & margaritas!

Might be the best Mexican food I’ve had. So delicious, the chili Verde is so deep with flavor. The Espe chips were to die for. Never had anything like it.

I have eaten at an innumerable amount of Mexican Restaurants all over the U.S. This place is the BEST. I crave it. And the people are so friendly and remember us when we come in. If you don’t stop here and least once in your life your life has been a waist. This I know is the food they will serve in heaven. Especially the Espe Chips. Chips covered in chili verde and cheese. Seriously I dream about this stuff. It’s like a drug. If Espe Chips were a man I would marry him. The only warning I would like to give out to people is that La Esperanza’s food Will make you very sleep after you eat it. But it is the best sleep you will ever have. So eat on! Go by today and enjoy one of their many many delicious plates. You will be more than glad that you did.

Always a great meal! I’m allergic to cilantro and it’s great knowing they don’t use it. I don’t have to worry about what I order. We have a wide variety of tastes in our family and there is something on the menu for everyone’s preference.

This place is way over rated. Nothing is good here, everyone brags about their chile verde-no bueno. I tried their tacos… Taco Bell makes better tacos. I better stop. You may wonder why I continue to go there, cause my boss likes it and he pays for it.

I’ve been coming to this place for years and they never disappoint. Number 8 with extra cheese and that’s all you need.

So I decided to get some espy chips after reading the reviews. I also got the quesedilla de chile verde which was overkill but I didn’t know what else to get. Both was very good. I liked the chips more. I should have just gotten a taco with the espy chips. Anyway, the flavors was delicious. But I kind of wanted something more like a red spicy salsa to add on top of it or some fresh salsa. Half an order of espy chips was like $ 7.25 and the quesadilla was $ 4.

Great food, and some of the beat service I have ever experienced! They seem like very friendly people, that take care of their customers and are always alert when you need more water or soda. They even thru in an extra basket of chips on the house!(:

Been going here for years it is simple the best chili verde you will ever eat in your life. Not trying to put other places down but no matter what happens nothing else compares. The service is usually pretty good but many people come from Visalia so that says something.

Best Mexican food around! Been eating there as long as I could remember. Love starting off with the espy chips as an app and then ordering the #6 combo, quesadilla chile verde, rice & beans with a cheese enchilada! Good stuff.

In response to one that has all his thinking all wrong: I guess u don’t know the area very well, customers come from all over the valley to eat there with family n friends. Not because they are in close proximity they eat there they drive one hour or more to have the great food. Customers that come from far take chile verde home in quarts to make espies at home at their leisure. Don’t u wonder y the restaurant has been in business for 38 years… Hint the food is great!!!

Stop! If you are fan of chili verde then you need not look any further. This place, hands down, has the BEST chili verde you will ever eat. I promise. To get the full verde experience I suggest the Espy chips. They are always hot, fresh and delicious! That’s just to start the meal, for dinner you can’t go wrong with tasty enchiladas, rellenos, tacos, beans, rice, etc,. Little tip: order you rellenos with verde sauce on them. Yeah baby, heaven!!! You name it everything is fresh, authentic and inexpensive. My family only makes it to the valley every few months or so and we always make a point of stopping here and chowing down. My last bit of advice is to wear loose fitting pants or better yet sweat pants, that extra large stretched-out shirt your wife hates and your appetite. You will not be disappointed.

The service is super warm and welcoming and anything verde is bomb. The only issue I have is the dry and bland chicken in my enchilada. Good place to eat, ill be back soon!
