No one really ever likes going to Marc’s and standing in there painfull check-out lines, but the store does offer discount prices. I think the selection and layout are unpredictable from store to store. I like the randomness of the close-out section. I always stock up on fresh produce and stuff for the kids’ lunches.

If you are a UA student with a budget, but nonetheless loves to cook using fresh ingredients, it is absolutely imperative that you take the Roo Express to Chapel Hill on Saturdays and VISITMARC’S. Marc’s is located in the same plaza as Giant Eagle; yet the contrast is notable. Giant Eagle sells many quality, gourmet items at premium prices. They also have a nice wine selection. On the other hand, Marc’s caters to the more modest customer. While they may not have a smörgåsbord of meats, seafood, herbs, veggies, or exotic fruits, they carry all the essential items at FANTASTICPRICES. This past weekend, I purchased two packs of asparagus, two 8 oz. packages of mushrooms, a half gallon of milk, a dozen eggs, two red bell peppers, and a 3-pack of green onions, all for $ 12! Shop at either Dave’s(read my review), Acme, or Giant Eagle and I guarantee you will be paying twice the amount I paid for the same items. The one down side: Marc’s ONLYACCEPTSCASH or DISCOVERCARD(I think they accept personal checks too, but not sure). No Visa, MasterCard, or American Express :( But payment methods aside, Marc’s is great! As a student, it is refreshing to know that I can buy fresh groceries without paying an arm & a leg! FYI: the information presented in this listing(except the store phone number) is all wrong. The correct info: Marc’s Chapel Hill 470 Howe Avenue Cuyahoga Falls, OH44221 They are mainly a grocery store, but also have a pharmacy, and sell some discount goods.
