It was a lot of fun on a Monday for two 10 year old girls. They loved the slides, lazy river, and pools. The guards are a bit rude, I didn’t realize I couldn’t wear my sunglasses on the slide, no big deal, but the guard yells over, «Hey! Take off your glasses!» No please, thank you, anything, I actually felt scolded, and humiliated, sounds dramatic, but as the saying goes, it’s not what you say it’s how you say it. We were also yelled at my another guard for holding on the the rope that separates the different depths. Geez! Other than that food was reasonable, and enjoyed the day at Water Works.

Where else can you find a really nice, clean water park without jacked-up prices? Residents get discounted rates, but even if you aren’t a resident, it’s still a great deal. Residents also get in earlier. They have a lazy river, 4 slides, kiddie area, lap area, sand pit, picnic areas, pavilion and even cabanas. During safety breaks, slides and lazy river are open, along with adult swim. They have a decent variety of food, drinks and treats at reasonable prices, too. You can bring in your own food and drinks and there isn’t anything too nasty about the rest rooms. Cash or credit.

Should be re-named Ghetto Works. Prepare to stand in line all day with hood rats and trailer trash. Probably was great back in the day but not anymore.

What a fun place for families! Reasonably priced, and pretty clean. It’s crowded but the wait is not obscenely long for the slides and the lazy river is nice for the adults to relax. We were able to get 3 chairs no problem on a very busy day. If you have kids under 12 it’s a cheap way to have a good time for a day with the family!

Today my hubby and I visited this water park first time. It was extremely crowded. The pool was nice but not so clean. The staff was rude. What bothered me the most is the loud announcements through the speakers. We could not understand the half of these speeches. It sounded like they yelled at us. Multiple times besides the safety brakes people were ordered out of the pools. Only one time with known reason. The concession area was so so. They let people take all the tables for a whole time. We could barely find a free table because of the people were not eating but stationing there. Other thing is the facility is non smoking which I understand. So we walked out and smoked like 50 yard away from the fence where we saw other people were smoking. A staff member ran toward us and yelled at as saying that we have to go all the way to the and of the parking lot… seriously? For resting we stayed close to the pavilion at the back of the park. We saw many folks smoking there but nobody reinforce the rules there… The only enjoyable place was that one lane for lap swimming… except when few people who couldn’t swim were swirling around in the deep water with the life guards on site… Anyway I’m not sure if we ever go back again.

Water Works is great for what it is– a place to go on a hot day when you need to cool off. Yes, it’s crowded but what do you expect? It’s a pretty decent size and there isn’t much around the area that competes so yes, it’ll be busy. The pools were crowded but not bad. We were able to go down all the rides in a pretty decent amount of time. The lazy river wasn’t too crowded but we did need to wait since they do somewhat of a crowd control in there. Also, lap lanes were open for those who wanted more deep water. The grass areas– well not much of it. It’s pretty much dirt so that sucked but I’m ehre for the water, not grass. Also, you can bring in a cooler of your own food/drinks.

first off, I LOL’d(no, really) when I heard my cousin takes her kids to a place called Waterworks, as my friends and I call this one really whiny girl we know«Waterworks». anywho. first off, this place is serious about security. all attendees must have some sort of ID, and even children have their own photo IDs. drivers licenses/permits and other gov’t IDs for adults are scanned, and while I’m a raging anti-government type, I also understand the need to keep child predators and other assorted folks out of these places. lots of areas to cool off and relax, though it is also(predictably) filled with children, so much of it is shallow. there are some deep lap lanes for serious swimmers, which I was a fan of. there’s a lazy river to ride inflatable tubes on, as well as a few slides. there’s a small shack to buy hot dogs, burgers, ice cream, and other snacks. overall, I had a good time, even though I had to watch my cousins’ kids
