Costco

This review is towards the optometrist department. I called in last night around 7pm and asked if they could fax my prescription to lens crafters. The lady was very helpful and did it even tho they were minutes away from closing. She even called me back to confirm the fax went through. ¹⁰⁄₁₀ customer service. Recommending everyone here from now on.

Parking is ample and spaces are large.
Employees are helpful.
Aisles are wide.
Inventory is kept organized and clean.
Cashiers are fast and friendly.
This is one of the best Costcos I’ve been to, and I’ve been to many. I like how open this one feels and how nice the workers are.
Not going to wax poetic about a Costco, so I’ll leave it at that.

Me and Costco have had a Love /​Hate relationship for 18years!
LOVE:
FOOD COURT;
1) Where else can you get a home-​wrecker sized hot dog and an unlimited refill sodas for $ 1.50? This might just be the best food deal anywhere!
) Ok tasting pizza. This kicks ass on Lil Cez’s and other «discount» pie joints. And the price point of $ 9.99 for a XL is hard to resist.
MISC SUPPLIES;
1) Oil … Buy my diesel truck oil here by the gallon usually 6 – 8 at a time. Best price around!
2) Toilet paper … I buy the pallet sized Kirkland 2 ply stuff. My ass loves it and my wallet who is close to my ass likes it too.
3) Cryo-​pack pork ribs… Always keep a pack in the freezer. Never know when the BBQ jones is gonna come knocking. Good quality and meaty too!
4) Condoms … 40 pack for $ 12.50 that equals out to 30 cents a nut!
5) Wine … This can be hit and miss but if you use the wine advisor app and the TW&M app you can shop with confidence and maybe score a deal or two.
6) Water … I get the Kirkland mega packs for less than $ 4
7) Spices … if you cook a lot the big bottle spices are way cheaper than your local grocery store.
8) Dog food … Believe it or not the Kirkland brand is one of the better brands around
… still I mix it with another high end food ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ and my bitch loves it!
9) LED … The best price for LED lights anywhere! Buy now save for years. ECO friendly and pay for themselves in a couple years. Way better than fluorescents.
10) Packaged foods … I get many different kinds from Tri-​Tips (Bill Baily) Carnitas (Del Rio), Salami, cheeses, Chicken Wings, the dips are great for parties if you doctor then a bit.
11) Pre cooked /​packaged … You cant beat the rotisserie chicken at $ 4.99 as I easily get 2 – 3 meals out of one. all the other cr. chicken stuff; burritos, chicken salad, chicken soup, etc. All great values and not bad tasting either.
12) FREE SAMPLES! … Sometimes find a diamond in the rough! See HATE #3
13) Cheap tennis shoes! I get 2 – 3 at a time if they have my 13 size. Wear them for month or two and toss em.
14) Gift cards … you can save 20% or more if you buy here. Many to choose from.
15) Meat … some good stuff to be found here

2) Leaving … The dude who checks your receipt when you leave. Really if you don’t trust your employees… Feel like I’m at the airport TSA! I usually just walk past ‘em to make a stir. The dumbest job in the world!
3) FREE SAMPLES … Shark tank feeding frenzy! Its like free tapas for a thousand! You’d think some of these idiots had never eaten before! And I can spot the freeloaders who come for free lunch too! They have no shame! And the rug rats who swarm the teaser stands, don’t you parents feed your kids?
4) Gas lines … Half hour to save 5 cents on gas??? Not me dude.
5) Parking SUCKS! Parking SUCKS! Parking SUCKS! Parking SUCKS!
6) Mom n Pop … I hate taking away the business from the locals but I don’t have unlimited fundage so I save where I can.
7) I come in with a 3 item list and leave with 13 and half of the crap I don’t need. Am I am becoming a weak minded consumer?
I am torn between Love and Hate and will be returning soon. Spank me and tell me you love me, I get it. But first I’ll spend a couple bucks on lunch
and then I’ll find some other stuff that’ll cost me another hundred or two …

I was told the gas station closes at 6pm on Sundays. It’s 6:17pm on a Sunday and they are still open. I know they open early but I always wonder when they close.

Who doesn’t love Costco? WHO?! I remember wanting to go to Costco all the time for the free samples. They also have gas for cheaper than other places! I still get lost in here sometimes, but I’m sure it’s just a part of their plan for you to search for what you need and buy other things.
Parking: Plenty of parking. It might be a little difficult to get a close spot, but there is enough parking if you’re willing to walk.
Gas: I think the best time to get gas is in the morning. The line is much shorter than after work. I’m not too sure how the gas line is during work hours.

I come to this Costco after spending the day at the racetrack. It’s just what you’d expect at any other Costco. Expect to walk a lot. Maybe 3 laps around the store at most. Staff is great at getting everyone through the lines. Parking is plentiful. Best to come during the week or right when they open so you can avoid crowds and long lines.

Review is for the Tire department.
Like everyone else, it doesn’t take much to justify a trip to Costco. Last week it was tires.
Set an appointment for Wednesday 8am. I arrived 5 minutes early (they were ready to go) and I was out by 8:50am.
In addition to their massive inventory and unbeatable prices (even cash-​only
asian businesses hang their heads in defeat) they inflate tires with nitrogen and offer free flat repairs for the life of your tires.
The only downside is their limited availability or popularity, if you will. So make sure you set an appointment in advance especially if you purchase your tires online.

These guys always have the cheapest gas prices around.
I always check the internet to see if I can get the cheapest price here.
They’re a little drive away from our home but it’s still okay because the prices are so cheap.
They are usually 30 cents cheaper than anyone else around!

OMG! I love, love, love, love Cypress Costco. A whole lot less busy than The Fullerton and GG locations. Tons of parking too.
I am pretty smart about my visits. We go later in the day, when the mobs have cleared out. Plenty of parking around 8:00pm. I know, we miss out on all the good stuff at night, like SAMPLES. But, thats what the food court is for. The only thing is, when it gets close to closing they start taping off sections of the store. If you need something, an employee will need to get it for you. If you do go during peak hours be prepared to play shopping cart wars, bumper carts, line waiting snd sample tasting.
First off, grab a cart. Even if you plan on not buying a lot, you may change your mind. The stock here changes daily. You may see something yesterday, come back today and its gone. So it’s best to grab it right away.
Even if you don’t need anything, you end up buying the cool things you didn’t know you wanted. We came in for some C4 supplements only, then decided on a few other things which required a cart.
Prices can be great on certain things. Especially the things you don’t need, which is why I buy them. The price is always right. Cool durable computer back packs, lunch coolers, hair dryers, fans, bullet juicers, vitamins, books, DVDs, beach chairs, led lights, snacks, kitchen stuff, TVs, cell phones, are the things that trick my wallet into letting them come home.
As for gas, there is always a line. Later in the evening they start closing the pumps and leave only a few open.
Membership is $ 55 a year, which is more expensive than Sams Club. Costco seems to have more of what you don’t need but buy anyway.

This guy is so so so RUDE. We file a complaint against this person! This guy invade my freedom as an American to give review take picture etc. He walk so close to my FACE as in close like his about to kiss me & told me that you Guys are not member so I am walking you guys out that’s what he said! But u see how far he is? He is coming towards me. Prior to that he already had an argument with African American person. I think this guy is a race. Be were of him. I have video to prove. I complain him already & will complain him again to consumer Afair to take a look @ this guy that don’t even have no manners @ all.

Best prices in the area by far, but be aware of when you show up to pump. Fridays at 3AM and you are looking at 8 cars deep per line.
I find the lines fairly short after 9PM and late around 8PM. At 16 pumps and in a busy area, you are bound to hit a crazy surge of cars at any moment.
Also, this area is full of slow movers. People are slow at the gas pumping task. The lines would move faster if they had their cards ready to swipe since they’ve been sitting in their car for minutes. Just a thought. :-)

With the nearest Costco Gas locations being in Fullerton, Huntington Beach, and Lakewood, you can’t go wrong with coming here. However, be prepared to wait a while as this location is busy. Why? Because this place offers the sweetest deal for gas prices.
With the best deal on gas being in the ears of every Costco member nearby, you can be the lines will be long at most hours. It’s very painful for most, and your patience will be tested. Along with being a location far from the freeway, this location serves up mostly residents and corporate companies nearby. While this location is better serving than the Tustin ones, it sits similar or slightly busier than the Huntington Beach location. For that, the place gets three stars.
The porters are always helpful and saying hi, unlike other locations. Moreso, they help the elderly as well, unlike other locations. It’s really common sense and kindness that stands out here. I just hope Costco opens more gas stations in this area to mitigate some of the busier hours, or adds more lanes.
The best times to visit this location are early in the morning (they open at 5:30 a.m.) or towards closing, after 8:30 p.m. Use your AmEx cash back card if you can, but note they will discontinue this offer sometime next year. Enjoy.

This review is for the mobile kiosk at Costco. I have Verizon and my mom’s phone was eligible for an upgrade. She’s been using her iPad and loves it, so I figure why not convert her from the Android to the iPhone?
I called Verizon and they had no promotions going on for Mother’s Day. The customer care person hinted to try a «warehouse» place, and lo and behold, Costco was having a special on iPhone! It was the 16Gb with a $ 100 discount, making it $ 177 before tax. Wow!
I didn’t get the 16GB but ended up choosing the 64GB iPhone 6Plus. Not sure if I got a super bargain but with tax my bill came to $ 419 and they also gave me a car charger and holder.
The process was easy, and I even called Verizon after my mom’s phone was activated to see if everything transferred ok.
The only down part of the process is they activate the phone immediately. So I wasn’t able to surprise my mom and had to take the activated phone to her, as her old phone was useless.
Costco also has phones for ATT and T-​Mobile. They offer a great deal on 3^rd party insurance with Square Trade at $ 99 for 2 years, but that insurance didn’t cover theft, so I kept my Verizon insurance at $ 11 per month.

I remember when this Costco first opened years ago. It was one of the nicest in the area and the employees seemed so helpful/​friendly. Rarely did we have to wait in long lines at the register as well. But over time, more and more people learned of this new location and slowly became quite busy. But I still liked going to this location much more than the location in Signal Hill (employees there are quite rude) because of the friendly service when I used to live in Long Beach.
But anyways, this Costco has a gas station and also a food court (believe it or not, there are actually some Costco locations that do not have a food court). The layout is basically the same as other locations. They have a large parking lot, which there are a few eateries and businesses here as well (Red Robin, a nail shop, etc) and very close to the race track.

NOTHING BEATS COSTCO GAS PRICES!
Costco Gas is always at least 10cents cheaper than the cheapest gas station that you can find. The workers are always super friendly, smiling, asking you how you are doing, etc. Also, I like that they clearly post the hours they are operating on each gas machine so you never have to ask the workers. Lastly, they also tell you way in advanced if the gas station will be closed on certain holidays or for any extended period of time.
The costco gas line has gotten so long that they blocked off the original entrance from Walker St. and you have to drive towards the tire pressure area, and then turn back around to get in line. Understandable, since the gas is so cheap. Also, there seems to always be a tanker that pumps more gas into the ground every time i go. The truck stays all the way to the left side, so the middle is a safe bet. And, the left pumps seem to be broken sometimes, so only one person can use the open tank instead of having two cars go at a time. Keep your eyes opened!

One of the greatest Costco locations thus far. This location is next door to the race track but has its own parking lot. The gas station is located on the east side of the lot, so not to block the parking lot. The engineers really thought this out!
The lines are typical, but they go fairly fast and cashiers are efficient.
This is seriously one Costco I miss when living in East LB. No other location compares to this one.

The best gas prices! So that also means the longest gas lines too. You need to be a Costco member, which isn’t cheap to use the gas pumps. You also must use a debit card to purchase it.

We came to Costco to pick up several food orders for the viewing services. What I appreciated about this Costco is that every parking spot is fairly close to the entrance and exit. You don’t have to park far because the way the parking lot is, every spot is golden.
We were quick to pick up our orders and I wondered around a bit to pick up some items as well as samples. There are a lot of sample vendors here. YIKES! HOWEVER, there is also a lot of people waiting for samples. BOO
The lines are surprising really fast and the cashiers are efficiently. We walked out and decided to hit up the snack bar (Cash only). This snack bar is located outside and anyone is accessible to it.

who doesnt love some costco pizza, hot dogs, churros, and some chicken/​carne asada bake?! costco pizza is my favorite pizza. no pizza hut, no dominos, no papa johns, YES to costco pizza. nothing can beat their classic combination pizza. and their pizza is HUGE and good value. and for those who cant eat dairy/​avoiding dairy, you can ask for your pizza without cheese! and for those who doesnt want to wait for their pizza, you can call in! how simple is that?! youll save so much time!
their chicken bake is pretty bomb. one bad thing is that they dont have any hot sauce available so it was a little dry/​needed some kick. so i usually just take it home and eat it with sriracha or tapatio! i prefer their chicken bake over their carne asada bake. i think the chicken one is more flavorful.
their hot dog/​drink combo is the best deal i think. both for under $ 2? where else can you get that!
and churros. its almost as if im at disneyland lol.

This Costco 16 pump station can get fairly busy where the lines can go 8 cars deep per queue. The prices range approximately from $.20 cent, for cash payment, and $.30-$.40 cents, for credit card payments, cheaper per gallon than other gas stations around the area.
Pumps require a Costco membership to dispense gas. Have your Costco card and debit or Costco credit card ready while you are waiting to get to the pump. Makes it much faster and it does not hold up the queue while a person rumage through a purse or wallet for their cards.
I notices that the longest lines would be where the pumping stations are on the driver’s side. If your car is small enough, I would highly recommend waiting on the queue where the pump is on the passenger side if you are pressed for time. The gas dispenser extends and the lines are shorter.
