We have been here 10 plus times and I cannot say enough wonderful things about the management, food quality and service. We always leave happy and very full! The manager is so friendly and truly cares about the success of the restaurant and the satisfaction of its guests. If you have the chance to try it out, you won’t be let down.

My husband and I went for dinner last night. Very nice quiet place. I had the wild mushroom ravioli and he had the white pizza. We also had the stuffed dates. Everything was delicious. We had very good service as there weren’t a lot of people there. We will be back again for another date night.

This is my second time here and I would return. Had the calamari, which was only alright, and the bruschetta which was great. My boyfriend ordered the cedar plank salmon and despite that our waiter told us it was sweet that we might like the other salmon option better, we still opted for the cedar plank and it was delish! I had the rigatoni, it was good after I asked for more Parmesan. The Pom tini was awesome, very good flavor and the rock candy gave it a nice touch. This restaurant is always on groupon, so you should definitely buy one then make the trip!

My wife and I visited this restaurant for dinner as it was the last day to use my Groupon. Despite the discounted price, we were disappointed overall. While the restaurant was fairly busy, it took quite a while to even be seated since there was no hostess at the station. It took at least four minutes to be even recognized before we were seated. If the Groupon was to attract new customers, they are not impressing me. After we were seated, the waiter came by within a couple of minutes and asked if we were ready to order. Since it was our first time at the restaurant, we wanted to examine the menu and decide whether we would order some wine. I indicated that we were here for the first time and I was using a Groupon. He promised to return shortly, but it took another 10 minutes for him to serve us water. While I can fully understand a waiter who is slammed with orders, but I observed him on several occasions casually talking and socializing with other staff and customers. It also looks like he was avoiding eye contact with us. Based upon this, we chose not to order the wine or any other drink just in case we had to bail before our order was taken. We ordered the fried calamari, and it was horrible. The breading did not stick to the squid, and it was quite greasy. The calamari was tender and good quality, but we basically ate it without breading. It was obvious that the calamari was not properly breaded nor fried in the proper temperature. I ordered the pork chop, and while it was quite large and of good quality, it was extremely overcooked. I asked for medium well, but it was definitely dry and tough. The sauce was more like a Worchester sauce and very unpleasant to me. It did not enhance the flavor of the pork. Perhaps I was hoping to get the apple cider reduction similar to Strata restaurant in Vintage Park or a slow-cooked chop from Perry’s with apple sauce on the side. At $ 30, I expected more. My wife ordered the salmon on cedar plank. While is was a good portion, it was slightly overcooked and was covered with an overpowering sauce. She indicated that it was too sweet for her taste. What was worse for her was that it did not appear to be jasmine rice as advertised on the menu. It was way over cooked and mushy and that may be the problem in trying to identify the delicate taste of jasmine, but it had no taste at all. It is obvious that no one tried it before serving it as it was that bad. To make matters worse, service never improved. Since I was eating a dry pork chop, I needed to drink more tea than usual. I grabbed a nearby waitress and I jokingly told her she can bring two glasses of iced tea so that my waiter would have to come by again. It was funny, because she did bring me two glasses of iced tea. Lol. On a positive note, it looks like quite a few the patrons had ordered the rotisserie chicken plate, and they looked absolutely wonderful. They also appeared to be happy with their dishes. I am normally a cheerful diner especially when I try a more upscale restaurant. Maybe I’ll get an opportunity to try this place again, but based on the original price before the Groupon and the poorly prepared food(ingredients were of the quality that would warrant the prices) there are many more options to dine in the area. Of course, service is forgivable as the experience can change with different personnel but I cannot get past great ingredients being prepared so wrong. On a final note, it took another 10 minutes to settle the bill. I reluctantly put a 20% tip on the original balance of about $ 75. The waiter should not rewarded for such behavior, but I wanted to show him that even people using Groupons know how to properly tip.

The food is AWFUL! The chicken tasted like it was frozen n it was hard. Was NOT fresh at all! For a pricey restaurant it should be fresh. They use Kraft Parmesan cheese. I had the Chicken Parmesan and it was nasty. The three of us did. I only had two bites n couldn’t even stand that. My friend had the stuffed shell crab. That was nasty too n he couldn’t eat it. Total waste of your money. Very disappointed for my friends birthday lunch

Made to feel as if I was inconveniencing the staff coming in for dinner an hour and 15 mins before they closed.

We finally used our Groupon and so glad we did. Merche has wonderful food we had the Grilled Salmon and the Penne Primavera with Vegetables and the Roasted Butternut Squash Soup. The Sun Dried Tomato Bread was served with seasoned olive oil, we of course ate too much. Everything was tasty and we had plenty did not leave hungry, we will go back.

Been here twice and so far I’ve ordered: Kobe burger-bland, could use more flavor Fries– must order!!! It’s better than Popeyes. Out of all the food I’ve tried the fries wins!!! Lol Empanadas-love it Chicken Alfredo pasta– delicious Pizza-once you get a slice, the end part is good but the top part is soggy. I deduct one star for gnats/fruit flies. Had some bread sitting there and I counted at least 3 laying on them.

Merche is such a hidden gem. We have dined here several times using a Groupon but would not hesitate to go back and pay full price. Bogar is one of the best servers we’ve ever encountered. We ask for him every time. The food is inventive, fresh and plentiful. Happy hour appetizers are a great deal, the stuffed dates are our favorite(fried eggplant comes in second). Last night we celebrated an early Father’s Day and were so pleased to see that the restaurant was half full. Please support your local business. You won’t be disappointed. Items we would recommend: Wagyu burger at lunch, poblano and butternut squash soups, all the salads, the Filet at dinner(the creamed spinach is crazy good), buttered snapper, salmon, the list goes on and on. I truly think you can’t go wrong here. The only negative experience we had was during lunch one time when there was only one server.

Merche tries to cater to the upscale crowd but doesn’t provide upscale food or service. The presentation was nice, but in several cases I have ordered food where the menu description does not coincide with the ingredients I receive on the plate. The poached quail egg with enoki mushroom salad was made with hardboiled chicken eggs with button mushrooms.

Went with my wife last week for dinner. Food was nothing to write home about. The empanadas were decent but the crab cake was meh, the white pizza was bland, and the bread pudding was just okay. Service was a bit slow but the wait staff was friendly and helpful. If you want a more authentic Spanish experience, I would recommend Piqueo instead.

Place was delicious! Service was excellent, the manager was very friendly and attentive. We sat outside on their patio since the weather was perfect for the night. We ordered the beef empanadas with chimichurri sauce and they were pretty yummy. My favorite thing there though were the stuffed dates(I am still thinking about them a day later!!). We also split a margherita pizza(pretty standard taste). For dessert we had bread pudding which my cousin loved! All in all I enjoyed my dinner there and would definitely return for those stuffed dates and to try their soufflé!

very classy, very elegant, very courteous, and professional. I was so impressed with this restaurant. I ate here because I work at NCMC and I wanted something other than hospital food. Boy What a treat!

There was something very biraporettis wannabe about this place. It was nice but there was something missing about it. The food was pretty good for any place on this side of town. I happened to have a groupon for it and I decided to take my parents. They seemed to like it but I could sense that they also sensed something missing … I think it was probably the dirty table cover, the irregularly arranged tables blocking the fire exit, and the really loud party next to us. These were things that were out of the waiter’s control who was super courteous and friendly. Since I was with my parents I had to ask them to not serve the fish without the white wine sauce and he obliged. We skipped the appetizers and dessert, and went straight for the entrée. The sugar glazed salmon was amazing with the jasmine rice. The snapper was tasty but I think it should have come with a side dish. The white pizza came with so many different cheeses that you couldn’t taste the goat cheese. All in all it was a good experience. Prices seemed a little high for the ambience and the service but the food was good overall.

I really liked this place. The selection is kind of interesting but we wanted to use it as a tapas place and it really worked for us. We chose a cheaper bottle of wine(20s) and thought it was good, and we were happy to find a place whose wine list didn’t start at 35. We ordered the beef empandas(very good), the calamari(also very good) and the shrimp appetizer(very good but small). We then split the Margherita pizza which I thought was very solid. The bill was only $ 75, and we had a great amount of food and wine so we were very happy. We’ll be back.

Bought a Groupon and although this place was difficult to find due to inaccurate Google directions and we were not expecting this Fine Dining restaurant to be attached to a Hospital garage parking building; this place was ABSOLUTELYPHENOMINAL! I looked at some of the reviews others had commented on and was a bit skeptical. They were so wrong. Our meal was no less than perfection. The Buttered Snapper with Lump Crab Meat was divine and so fresh. The Empananda appetizer’s crust was so tender and flaky and the chummicurru sauce, just delicious. I had the Rotisserie Chicken and the portion was so large, I have emough for two leftover meals. Bread Pudding with White Chocolate Sauce was fabulous. The sun dried tomato bread served with dipping sauce was so good, I took some home. Waitstaff, Beverage Server and Manager were all professional, courteous and attentive. We will certainly return and will highly recommend this restaurant to others!!! Beautiful, tasteful décor and very clean. Great place for a lovely night out.

We had a groupon and we used it, and we enjoyed our dinner. The service was good and the atmosphere was quiet. There were about 5 – 6 other tables there during our dinner on this Wednesday evening. We started out with the calamari and the stuffed dates. Both were tasty. The calamari needed quite a bit more salt than it had. For my meal I had the chicken piccata. It was excellent. My husband got the sausage and pepper pizza, and it was good, not great. Our bill came to $ 50, but the groupon covered most of it. It was a nice dinner. I like this place!
