I don’t typically drink when I’m upset or stressed or even to relax. I guess I would be classified as a social drinker but I don’t always drink in social situations either. I just need to be in the mood I suppose. I’ve only been stupid wasted once in my life and after waking up to a FULLON construction zone in my head… THAT didn’t happen again! This place has been on the corner for as long as I can remember. It is one of those places you see but don’t really see and then when you need a liquor store you have to search you mental roller deck for where you saw one because its not a place you frequent or pay any attention to. This is one of those please. I’ve been here a couple times. I was SUPERCLOSE both times and wanted one of those mini bottles of Fireball, Bailey’s or vodka. You know the kind the sell for sky high prices on the airplanes. Well that is what I was looking for. I didn’t want a large bottle because I would most likely NOT even finish it and it would be a waste. I remember seeing these mini bottle over the years so I knew this place would have it. The first time I bought Fireball it was the prefect size and NOTHING went to waste. This last time I got 2 mini bottles of Bailey’s to go into my chai spice frapp with 2 scoops of matcha. It was the prefect size and mixed well. YUM! I also noticed they have some snacks and other non-alcoholic drinks, large bottles of alcohol bottles, cigs and electronic cigs, etc. It’s your typical liquor store. The service is ALWAYSFRIENDLY and the place is clean. I NEVERFEEL like I’m going to get shanked coming and going but that is probably because it’s located in a NICE neighborhood, but its still a liquor store so use caution if coming at night or if you see someone that looks like they are up to no good. I’ll probably be back here as I travel and buying these little bottles is cheaper than buy a drink on an air place if your flying within the US. International has FREEDRINKS… Woohoo! Thanks for the CONSISTANTEGOODSERVICE!

This liquor store should be a historical landmark! No, not because it has any architectural significance. Rather, this was the liquor store where all the neighborhood kids and myself use to go back in the 80’s to get candies, sodas, even ice cream on a hot day. It was formerly known as Eddie’s liquor in my childhood days and honestly not much as changed except for the name and perhaps the new owner Bishara who is Syrian along with his employee Gus instead of the formerly Asian owner and staff from decades ago. They still carry all the usual candy, caffeinated beverages, booze, and junk food that you would expect a liquor store to carry. They are open at all hours and even with an AM/PM directly across the street, this location has successfully done good business for decades. Now that most of us kids have grown up and moved on with our lives, its refreshing to find that this same hallmark of our community is still marking the small-townness of the city of Cypress and continuing to serve the same patrons who have now grown up and have kids of their own.

It was a little confusing trying to find them on Unilocal, but it’s real easy to find the store. Their sign above the door says«Quest Liquor» and found out that on Unilocal(probably the correct name) is Eddie’s. They are on the corner of Ball and Moody in a small strip mall with a smoke shop, across the street from the Arco station and a Walgreens. I figure I can get beer at Walgreens but they are a huge chain and carry no craft or microbrews, so I wanted to check this place out. I really like the craft beer selection here. I picked up Bootlegger’s Hef, Golden Phoenix, American Ale, Rye and a couple others and the prices are right on. The lady at the register was super nice and helpful when I asked for a cardboard box to take my beers home in. The beer was nice and cold. My only gripe is that beers on the top shelf are hard to get down because the electrical conduit gets in the way. I just had to be careful to lift the bottle up, then angle it slightly to get it out of the case. I didn’t go for wines but again the selection looked decent.
