Ilanka is amazing! I went to her with a groupon and decided I was going to try going Blonde. I don’t know a thing about hair so Ilanka gave me some tips before starting. Instead of just bleaching my hair, she included highlights to make it look more natural! She makes your inner hair follicle beauty come out! Being going back to her ever since for my touch ups!

The ladies at the salon took such great care of me and my hair! My hair had been badly highlighted from a previous salon and serene lounge fixed everything! I’ve never received more compliments!

I went in for a walk-​in appointment and saw there were three women working here. The girl who worked on my hair seemed. New (and I didn’t realize this until she started cutting my hair). I told her I wanted to even out my hair because my hair was choppy and uneven. She constantly went back to the other hairstylist and asked her how to cut my hair. This made me very uncomfortable. I am asking you to cut my hair a certain way, and you are then asking another stylist who is busy, to help cut my hair… Very unprofessional. After my haircut was finished, I asked the other hairstylist (who was now cutting my hair) to take out the harsh straight haircut that the girl gave me. She tried but failed. I was going to asked them to fix it again, but my hair began to shorten too much, and I was afraid I would leave with no hair — so I just shut up and smiled. They charged me $ 30 for a cut (which is ridiculous for the service I received), and I tipped $ 5 because I always tip no matter how bad the service is. I have an interview tomorrow, and now I am feeling very unprofessional with my haircut. I’ve tried playing with my hair to make it seem more ‘professional’ but it just looks like someone took a chainsaw and cut straight through my hair. Needless to say, I will NEVER come back to this location. Now my hair is in more of a disaster than it was coming in and my confidence level is very low for my interview tomorrow. Great. I really wish I worked regular hours so I could get my hair fixed! Now I’ll have to find another stylist next Sunday when I get time off of work and I just hope my hair doesn’t get shorter than it already is. I literally may lose my shit. Please guys and gals, if you have time during the week to go to a proper salon, please do so.

I’m so happy with this place! I walked in on Sunday and Gilberto took such good care of me. I knew I wanted to get an undershave in the back, but without a regular hairdresser to go to, I was nervous that someone new would misinterpret my intent or be unwilling to do it.
Gilberto was so thorough in his careful measurements that he put my mind at ease… And I LOVE my new cut. It’s perfect for hot days. I couldn’t be happier. Thank you, Gilberto!

Went to serene lounge because they had a special going! Best special ever! You got a hair coloring, hair cut, style and eyebrow threading for $ 50. I wasn’t able to get the eyebrow threading because the lady who does that had already left. I went towards the end of the day! But I had the stylist (Rebeca) she did such a good job! She gave me exactly what I wanted! Was fun to talk to. She did sort of an ombré but I didn’t want it too bold so she didn’t dye my ends totally blond. Which is what I wanted! Everything was evenly mixed through out hair! Will be coming back! Thanks guys!

Quick, nice service. Got a 2 $ off coupon from Unilocal,so I got my brows threaded for 6 $. Overall good experience, lost a star only because the lady who did my brows didn’t give me much shape/​arch. She did my brows sort of in a straight line, I expect more of an arch like I usually get from threading sessions. Maybe I should have asked tho.

Rebecca cut and styled my hair. It is not very often I am satisfied with a cut BUT I love what Rebecca did with my hair! Didn’t have time to play with my hair this time around but next time Rebecca and I are going to have fun with my hair. Can’t wait!
The best part is that you can trust them. Ilanka found out 39 minutes after I left that I had overpaid. She called me and profusely apologized and said she’d fix the problem. thank-​you Sigiri for a wonderful experience. I think I’ve found a home…

I took my wife to this salon for the first time. she had a complete transformation by a stylist named Rebeca with 18 years of experience. She did great and we were very pleased. I would recommend this salon to all my peers. We left feeling satisfied that it was money well spent.

I was in the store next to this place and whoever you have walking around handing out your brochures is rude. I was at a cleaners and this loud lady walks in passing out flyers as people are talking so the owner doesn’t respond and she has the nerve to tell everyone the owner is ignoring me because he can’t speak English … Are u serious maybe it was because u are rude and were never taught any manners and I know u work here because you had your apron on… Would never go here with people who have no business sense. If this lady was not the owner she needs to be fired … Thanks for making me feel so angry that I had to write this post

Would not recommend this place. I had an apt today at 10 got there at 9:45 and no one is there. The sign on the door says open. Waited till 10:15 and still no one. The number on the door and was told someone should have been there at 10 and will be there shortly. Had to leave because I had other appointments. Never used this place before and will not use it ever. Unacceptable!!!

I just wanted a wash and blow dry and the lady that did my hair was looking at me funny like I spoke a different language than English… Finally when she does my hair she accuses me of cutting my own hair instead of asking me. It was new hair growth I’m not seven I’m a grown woman, why would I cut my hair by myself? It’s not something I’d do! Won’t be coming back here after that!

I am extremely satisfied with my hair cuts with Diana she is the only one that will ever take shears or clippers to my hair ever again. Diana has over 20 years experience as a barber she has such a precision touch.
The services offered at here at the Serene Lounge Salon & Spa are plentiful I have lots of friends and family that call this place a Mecca for all hair and esthetic needs. My daughters will get there brows on fleek her often. Along with Prom preps and one day Wedding glamour pampering… sigh!

Best experience ilanka really took care of me with a color correction very satisfied. Defiantly going back for other services !

I’ve been getting my hair cut from the owner Ilanka for over 8 years and she does a terrific job. The location is convenient to get to and there’s ample parking plus a Starbucks next door. I’ve had a few of the freelance hair stylists that rent stations there cut my hair on random occasions and they have all done a fine job.

There are only a few times in life when you come to the right place and Serene Lounge is definitely it! ILANKA and GINA are amazing and the prices are just right!

George is my favorite! He explained every step and move he made. Not a whole lot was done, but it made all the difference and it showed! He gave me the right tools I needed to keep that silky, smooth feeling and maintain it. George knows exactly what he’s doing, please go check him out. All he wants is you to be as fabulous as he is.

We are giving this place one star because there are no negative stars in Unilocal.Wife took my son for a hair cut there. The lady was unorganized and had to repeatedly go to different stations to obtain the correct buzzer. Apparently she also has her own mind set as to what hair style we want for our kid. We specifically said no buzz cut, yet she buzzed his hair all the way to the top before my wife told her to stop. If you know hair, you can’t blend hair well when it’s buzzed all the way around and 1″ away from the top hairs. She also did a pathetic job at cleaning up the hair from my son… or a great job at not cleaning at all (whichever way you prefer to look at it). We will never come back here again and hope that whoever is concerned about their hair go elsewhere.
I guess on the plus side my son got a pretty neat temporary yamaka for $ 18…or an expensive bad hair cut.
Maybe if they threaded his head instead, it would have come out better.
