To The 9’s

I went into this boutique yesterday on a whim after seeing multiple postings on a local Beg, Barter, Buy, Sell page. I have pretty much been pregnant for two years straight so I have not been in many stores besides Motherhood for the past two years. To put into perspective how my body currently is… I have a six week old and 14 month old at home. I do not remember the name of the lady who was working in the store yesterday, but she was absolutely amazing. She helped me with bringing me different tops she thought I would look cute in, and was honest with me about what looked too small, unflattering, and what looked great. I honestly wasn’t planning on buying pretty much my whole Fall/​Winter wardrobe, but I did. I also left with a feeling of self confidence about my body. If you are look for «clubbing clothes» or cheap clothes like Charolette Russe or Rue 21 then this store is NOT for you. If you are looking for tasteful, conservative clothes that are well constructed and cut to flatter many figures (even my post baby body) then this IS the place for you. I don’t feel the prices are too expensive. I feel like you get exactly what you are paying for and on top of it excellent customer service. My shopping trip there yesterday was exactly the post baby pick me up I needed, and honestly a lot of their tops could be used as transition pieces for someone who is near the beginning of their pregnancy. You would still be able to wear them afterwards. Also while in the store one of their vendors happened to stop by and she was extremely pleasant and friendly as well. To the 9s will definitely be my new go to boutique in Cypress… In fact I plan on going in today to get a couple more shirts. There is a small little girls section as well and some home décor. Go and check it out. You won’t be disappointed!

Among some of us who grew up here and since left, Cypress has come to be known as The Bubble. There’s just an overwhelming presence of wealthy, entitled, Starbucks-​toting princesses who side-​eye sooner than they smile– and this store is emblematic of it.
I’m not saying this stuff isn’t cute. It is. Damn cute, in fact. I love the Lilly stationary and swooning over the dresses that I can’t afford. But wow, do I feel out of place here. The well-​coiffed ladies working give major stinkeye whenever I stop in, to the point where I don’t feel comfortable going in very much anymore. What a bummer.

Located near the Cypress Park and Ride, this place has serious potential to become a hazard to my wallet. Über cuteness all over the place! If you’re looking for one of a kind finds, this is your store. But be forewarned: come with the expectation to spend a pretty penny. Don’t get me wrong, the prices are fair here considering the quality of what they carry, but this ain’t no Forever 21. It’s classy, sophisticated, trendy, and fun at To The Nine’s. Here’s what you gotta check out:
Custom-​look leather boots with your school logo. (Hello, graduation present!)
High end jewelry pieces (like those of Chamilia)
Dresses that can easily go from work to happy hour
Quality makeup products
And, most importantly — you gotta check them out on the 9^th of the month. Why? Complimentary sips and discounts throughout the store. I know where I’ll be on the 9^th of this month (Christmas is just a few weeks away!).
I stopped by during the week and found a couple of racks pulled onto their sidewalk. I later learned that everything on the racks was 75% off. Ain’t gonna lie — it felt like Christmas! I picked up several unique pieces and I am certain I will be back for more.
