I had 2 rolls, miso and chucka. Miso and chucka were excellent. Rolls were inedible, raw fish was not fresh, slightly fishy odor. There was a bone in a piece of the roll. Worst is that the chopped tuna filling one of the rolls was like tuna paste. I would not recommend if you are interested in raw fish.

My experience here was so-so. I ordered the tiger roll and the dark dragon roll. The tiger roll tasted great! Filled with plenty of fish. The dark dragon roll was okay. Maybe it’s because the tastes of unagi and soft shell crab clashed. I had also ordered a combo su(cucumber salad), a spider hand roll and the ceviche hand roll. The combo su was okay tasting, as the sauce it was in was a bit too salty. The spider hand roll wasn’t too bad, but I noticed they didn’t use sprouts and mayo like most places! The ceviche hand roll I did not like, it was different from the ceviche I’m used to in the way that they use pico de gallo. At this point I’m getting pretty full, but I decided to try some of the sushi they had. So lastly ordered was 2 pcs salmon, unagi, spicy chopped scallops and hamachi! All of which tasted really fresh and delicious! So definite A+ on that!

Generously giving this place 3 stars– it’s really more like a 2.5. Ordered a lunch roll special that comes with two rolls and a soup or salad. The rolls were good and had an adequate amount of fish. The miso soup was so-so and they only provided regular spoons– not the legit soup spoon/mini ladle or whatever that thing is called. I don’t know, I just know that’s how I like it. Our waiter was nice but pushy– it was noon and he insisted we order alcohol instead of water. Fine. My friend needed to vent so we both ordered the house Cab… It was sour. Not good at all. However, it was cheap and I didn’t want to spoil the time with my friend by complaining so I didn’t. When my glass was half full still, the waiter asked if I wanted another glass. Um, no. My husband arrived mid meal and ordered pepper tuna. It wasn’t on the menu but they could make it. Well, it was tuna alright. Sprinkled on the edges with pepper. Not seared like good sushi places do. Eh. If I were next door shopping and NEEDEDSUSHILIKENOWOMG, I may stop in. Otherwise, no. No bueno.

This is the best Bento Box I’ve found. You will find plenty of Sushi lunch specials that cater to both the sushi purist and the recent monster roll customer. But sitting down with all the yummy offerings of a serious bento box gets Tomiko a fifth star. Each with five or six offerings and dipping sauces, you will love your chosen entrée, you will not finish the box, and you will leave happy with a doggy bag. The mall traffic does affect parking and lunch crowds, but I’ve never had a problem finding a parking space and the service has always been good.

I was really high maintenance today for some reason. I had my very hyper toddler and grumpy husband and we were all very pleased. It was clean, very well decorated and spacious. Great for kids. Perfect lunch location. Food was the best I’ve had sushi wise and all drinks were in fancy glasses. Price was scary bc it was so cheap but don’t let that scare you away. Cheap sushi is normally a no sir but this place is the best. Bathrooms were clean. No changing table but that was ok. They have happy hour all day. Say what??? Yep and it was amazing. Totally recommend this place. Enjoy

The atmosphere is very nice — looks like someone actually invested in décor! The food is very good! We had sushi. The prices were really fair — something I would never expect from a place in a shopping mall

Food was decent but a little pricier for something that wasn’t top notch. The black peppered tuna was good. The vegetable tempura was good. the shaggy dog and red dragon roll was ehh. The eel sauce was a bit sour and not what eel sauce should normally taste like. The staff was nice although there were only 2 of them. There was the hostess and 1 waiter… not their fault I guess but kind of inconvenient. Would only eat here if I was very hungry and craving sushi and in the area. If not, I would have just eaten at the food court.

The staff was really nice. Even though there were only two employees, they tried to serve everyone as best as they could. The food wasn’t great. It deserves a two stars, but the staff made the whole resturant a three star. The shaggy dog was decent. If I was in the area, I would stop by, but I wouldn’t drive all the way there just to eat there.

Some sushi places have all sorts of things on the menu that are good. Some are«eat non-sushi» only at your peril. Tomiko is of the later persuasion. I had the top end fried rice. It was a Roman-Orgy-Esque super-serving with enough fried rice to feed a family of 12 in Okinawa. It was filled with fried seafood and had three huge tempura shrimp on top. I ate about a third of my serving and left the restaurant slightly nauseated. Fried rice is supposed to be a comfort food. This was nothing of the sort. How is the sushi? Maybe marvelous but I am not that interested in coming back to find out.

No stars. They don’t deserve it. The host made us wait for a table when there was a table open(it was visible). Then after awhile when he never touched the phone he told us a reservation cancelled and could seat us. There is one waitress and she is terrible. I was a waitress so I know what you should typically do. Anyways, 15 – 20 minutes she finally asked us for our drink order. Then we ordered sushi because it took another 20 minutes to get the drinks. The sushi is terrible. Don’t pay $ 15 for the Fuji volcano roll the shrimp and scallops are ice cold. Then after another 30 minutes I ask for the check and to speak with a manager. She told me he wasn’t here. The host brings my check and runs my card with a blank sheet of paper in the book. I told him she told me she was writing the name of the manager and their number. He said okay. She never thanked us or anything. Well he went and talked to her and he wrote down«the managers new number» number down. I called it as I left. He first answered then hung up then answered the second time. I asked him why he gave me the stores number when I asked for the managers number, he told me a co worker told him to write down the stores number. I told him he shouldn’t ever lie to a customer and I would be calling until I spoke with«joeane» the manager if she even exists. Stay away I’m telling you! And if you go, beware. P.s this was a Thursday night at 7:30. I left at 9:10pm. It was just my boyfriend and I.

Ok I may be bias as this place is down the road from my house. But having a Sushi place near by is very convenient for my Sushi fix. Sometimes I have to go solo, no worries great bar here to relax and enjoy and start with a miso soup. I’ve talked wife into going as she is not a fan of Sushi. Problem solved with fried rice. In fact any combination of fried rice is great!!! I am eating it as leftovers right now as a I type. There was so much and it’s so good!!! My favorite is Matts roll. I get it every time! Don’t forget great prices and great value for a neighborhood Sushi place…

I came here after outlet shopping and out of the limited choices of food in this area, Japanese seemed the way to go. It was still early and on a Wednesday so we were seated right away and food was out pretty quick. I got a lunch combination that came with sashimi(2 pieces of salmon and 2 pieces of tuna) and a California roll. Nothing crazy, nothing fancy. I was quite happy with how everything tasted though. Of course due to how far out this is, I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here but if I was at the outlet again, no doubt I will be back

I was impressed. It was 7 o’clock on a Sunday evening, and I couldn’t find anything for my son to eat at the food court of the outlet mall, so we came here, expecting below average food at inflated prices. It was the exact opposite! Prices were reasonable and the food was great! They had the best udon I can remember and my son’s kids meal would have been enough for my wife and son to share. The atmosphere was nice as well. I would have given them 4 stars, based on the experience, but the surprise factor earned them that extra star.

First post preggo sushi dinner in over a year, and I was completely disappointed. The miso soup was way too fishy, the seaweed salad was«off» in flavor, and the rolls were not favorable at all. Also I felt they were a bit expensive(over $ 2 for a single piece of sushi). We ordered the most popular rolls, and the hot mama was so gross I couldn’t finish even one piece. Positive note — the waitress was nice and kept our drinks full.

Very impressed with the food here. Came on a Friday night and there weren’t many people. Ordered some sushi(can’t remember), fried calamari, shrimp tempura and miso soup and everything tasted good. Will def be back

Came here wht my dad for a quick bite to eat before heading to the airport. I got the shrimp tempura bento box lunch special. The soup was tasty. Probably one of the better miso soups that I’ve had. Wish I could say the same about the rest of the meal. The rice was wayyyy too peppery. Not like spicy, but like they put too much black pepper in it. That’s all I tasted. I left he rice basically untouched. The crab puffs were almost completely cream cheese but I never really liked crab puffs anyways so I’m not disappointed. The shrimp tempura was fried perfectly and the shrimp were huge. Came to this place because it’s across the parking lot from the Houston Premium Outlets which is why, I suspect, others come here too. I wouldn’t drive all the way out here for this place alone though. But it’s a good choice if you’re shopping at the mall and you get hungry for something better than what they have in the food courts.

This place was good! I had the volcano roll which arrived in front of me literally on fire! It was a cool effect added to what turned out to be a delicious roll of sushi. I will definitely stop in here again. BOTTOMLINE: The sushi here is ONFIYAA!
