This is one of my favorite Phở places to hit up on the coast! Huge portions and well priced. The herbs are fresh and the Thai Tea is off the chain as well. I really like the Phở Tai and adding tripe to it. They are so quick too! I made a to go order today and she literally told me 5 minutes! The broth is good– Just add some of the sauces on the table and your good to go! If your new phở, get the phở tai or the one with brisket until your ready to delve into some of the different types; I know not everyone is a fan of tendon. If they updated the inside, I bet their business would increase– but don’t let that stop you from coming to this joint– well worth it and the service is great!

This has to be my favorite place to eat Phở on the coast. Great food, great service, and great price. Highly recommended for all PHOnatics.

I had lemongrass chicken to go. Very tasty and fresh! Large amount of food. I can make two meals out of it if I wanted to. Only $ 9

Yummy! One of my other favorite vietnamese restaurants on the coast! All their foods are made fresh(from my experiences). While we were there the lady/owner was making fresh wontons/dumplings. They also have great thai tea! I had #32 and the Lover had #29. I enjoyed mines; Lover said his was good but had better pork chop at other Viet restaurants.

One of the better Vietnamese restaurants in the area! Lots of food for a decent price! Had a take out order, but by the looks of it, the inside is pretty small and the ambiance is okay. Besides that, it is in a great location, right next to the freeway, therefore it’s hard to get lost. Not a lot of parking, but it seems like this area doesn’t get busy. Ordered banh xeo, which is basically crepes filled with veggies and shrimp, with the outside being crispy. Oh my, it was delicious! Also ordered tom bo nuong, which had noddles, veggies, shrimp, and steak. At first, didn’t know what it was, but based off the description, it sounded yummy, which indeed is yummy! Awesome restaurant! Definitely beats other Vietnamese places.

Seriously had a very interesting experience here. I ordered fried egg rolls, seafood phở for dining in and a combo plate for To-Go. The seafood phở, I wanted with rice noodles because I thought my only option were rice noodles or egg noodles. It came with clear noodles. The soup itself was not what I was expecting at all or the usual seafood phở at other phở establishments. But it was still good so I gladly ate the soup. It came with reasonable amounts of scallops, fish cakes, squid but only 2 pieces of shrimp. When my fried egg roll came out, the lady brought me packets of duck sauce(orange ones from Chinese take-out)… I had to later ask for the correct egg roll sauce, she then brought it to me. It was weird. The veggies for my phở wasn’t the freshest. The jalopeno peppers and limes were dried out indicating that it’s been sitting out too long or it’s old. The egg roll was pretty good though. Let’s talk about my combo plate that was supposed to come with pork chop, 2 eggs, Chinese sausage and shredded pork. There were barely any shredded pork and there was a tiny little piece of sausage. It was literally the size of my pinky. It was weird that it was even in there by itself just so awkward. I’d probably go here for soup if I was desperate for phở. But it can use some deep cleaning around the restaurant. I honestly decided to try here because yes noodles was closed :(

Good food at a decent price! The establishment could definitely use some updating, as I questioned the cleanliness of the place. However, I really enjoyed the food and will likely be back, since there’s no other decent Vietnamese restaurant near me.

This is only the second Vietnamese restaurant I’ve tried in this area, but I have a feeling this is the best one. The staff is very friendly and attentive, and there was a decent amount of locals from all walks of life dining. There is only one size bowl of phở, and it is more than enough. I ordered the phở tai and the pan fried dumplings. They were some of the best dumplings I have ever had. I strongly recommend them to anyone and everyone. The phở broth wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, but it had flavor and was not watered down. Their large selection of non-soup dishes is impressive. I haven’t seen some of them outside of my extended family’s kitchens before! Don’t forget to come in, seat yourself, order the pan fried dumplings, and pay at the register.

When we moved from VA we were very sad to leave our local family owned Phở place. My husband heard great this about this place, so we stopped by for lunch on a Saturday. It was not very crowded which was nice, and the few patrons seemed to be regulars because the people working new their names. I wondered the Vietnamese posted boy, which is basically a Bahn me. It was really good. The bread was flaky like bakery french bread which was different but not unpleasant. The contents were very fresh and the pulled bar b questions pork was not the best I ever had but it was still good. My husband order ed a number 28. Not sure, but it had dumplings and pork in it. It was delicious! Overall we enjoyed our lunch and will return. Oh and the kids had a small bowl of noodles w/broth that they both enjoyed. Not sure if the establishment is family owned but I imagine it is.

There was a large party of about 15 or 20 people who were there before us on a Sunday during lunch. Their orders were taken but they hadn’t received their food yet. So naturally it took a little while for our food to come out. We were slightly inpatient but only because we were bored sitting there waiting for our food. The waitress was nice. After she had taken our order and brought out our food, she asked us once if everything was good, which is great customer service. However, maybe she didn’t hear me but I asked for lemon with my water and I didn’t receive it. No big deal. They probably didn’t have lemons so I just used the lines that came with our meal. But I was a little annoyed when I ordered a Thai Tea to go at the end of my meal and I never received it, even when I clearly saw that she had written it down. I’m not even sure if it was charged on our bill but we were in a hurry so I didn’t bother asking for it again. So that’s why I took one star away. The other star was taken away because the meal was mediocre. There was four of us in our party and three of them ordered Hu Tieu Nam Vang(noodle soup with different meats and seafood) while I ordered Bo Luc Lac(steak cubes and white rice). The presentation was great and everything but the taste not so much. As a Vietnamese person, I would expect more from the taste. My sister suggested the place because she likes it. But they said their meal was ok. They said it was a little bland and that even after adding sauces to liven up the flavor, it was still just ok. My Bo Luc Lac was ok as well. I had been craving rice so I ordered that because I’m a steak lover. But it seemed like all they really did was just stir fry some steak cubes and onions together with brown sauce for color. It barely if any had any flavor. Anyway. Oh well. You win some. You lose some. Maybe other menu items are better. People tell me «it’s pretty good». I would say that if I had a choice, I wouldn’t go out of my way to go back. But if I had to, I would still order something and eat there.

This was truly my first time eating Vietnamese food. We had a few questions about items on the menu but the staff was standoffish. They didn’t understand what we were asking, they spoke broken English. Well I guess that’s good at least we should be getting authentic food?! We tried ordering safe so we started off with Vietnamese spring rolls, which honestly I thought were going to be warmed or lightly fried. Ha, I was wrong, they were room temperature and the rice paper was very chewy and stretchy. I managed to eat one roll but with the vermicelli noddles the texture kinda freaked me out. But that didn’t discourage my good review because the ingredients were definitely fresh and flavorful. Just my opinion! We ordered 2 bowls of phở one with beef brisket and the other chicken, again trying to remain safe. First the garnish for the phở was delivered, which was totally fresh and seemed like they were pulled from a garden in the back. It consisted of fresh cilantro, sprouts, lime, jalapeño, and I think mint. The phở was okay, I ate more of the the broth then anything else. Again the egg noddles had a jelly-like consistency that freaked me out… again my opinion. The dining room was very clean, so no problems there. I think I just need to have someone show me what to add to enhance the food. We were delivered peanut sauce, some spicy sesame sauce and the table had several bottles of spices on the condiment tray, but I was afraid to add anything to it. A lot of my dining experiences are a personal preference for me, but once a smell or taste doesn’t agree with me then I am done. I just thought with all the fresh ingredients that the spring rolls and phở would have tasted better but it was all bland…

This is the real thing, folks! Great Vietnamese food and excellent service. I had the Mi Xoa Don, which was sauteed shrimp and vegetables in a bird’s nest setting. The sauce was mild and the shrimp and veggies were cooked to perfection. After opening with an order of Cha Gio, Vietnamese egg rolls, I was full by the end of the meal. My friend had Phở Do Bien, a seafood Phở, which was also delicious. Very friendly service, nice albeit simple and casual atmosphere. What The Phở! is a winner!

Dined here often during my time in Biloxi — I have to say the comments below that mention the smoky aspect is true. While dining here we’d see a rogue smoker who was leaving suddenly as people were entering. Décor: From the exterior, this place looks a bit rough. But years of travel have taught me to look past this. The interior is a bit dated and feels like an old home style restaurant, but its the phở I came here for. Taste wise: I come from Orlando, where the phở is plenty and the number of Vietnamese restaurants is quite high. So, I’m accustomed to different restaurants having slightly different broths. Its like asking two grandmas to make the same chicken soup, they’ll be different. Compared to Thai Lotus, I preferred this broth(but I really liked«Phở» in Ocean Springs). This is again subjective, and you’ll see that with all three places(«Thai Lotus», «What the Phở», and«Phở») — what I appreciated the most here was that it was the closest location of the three to the base I was at, and that each time I went, the phở was consistent. My partner however would get a variety of items to take back, and each time she was pleased as well as she is a pacific islander and the food helped her feel at home. Overall experience: Whenever I came, there were predominately Vietnamese customers present. I’ve heard during peal meal times, it’s mostly the local white population. Either which way, what does it matter. How can I persuade you to try this? I can’t, I’d actually say try all three Vietnamese restaurants and find the one YOU like. Each had something I liked, but I leaned more towards«Phở» and«What the Phở!»

What the Phở is one of my favorite locally owned restaurants. The location isn’t very beneficial for driving traffic but that’s fine because I never have trouble getting a seat. They offer a full menu of classic Vietnamese /French food as well as poboy sandwiches and some random Asian offerings. The Phở soup is hot and the broth is infused with fresh herbs-amazing! My favorite menu item is the mi xao Don with pork. It’s a flash fried birds nest of noodles topped with the Wok cooked meat of your choice and stir fried veggies and an awesome sauce. It’s soupy in the middle but crunchy on the outside. The atmosphere is the only thing that could use some upgrading. I originally reviewed this restaurant as non smoking but I am disappointed to report that as I was paying my bill I was treated to the nasty odor of smoke coming from a nearby table. I’m dropping from 4 to 3 stars as a result. Maybe it’s cultural but it seems like all of the Phở restaurants in this area embrace smokers. The dated mismatched interior does not do the food and great service justice.

Meh. Barely 3 stars. Seriously, this place is pretty mediocre overall. The broth for the Phở is fairly bland, certainly not above average. The bowl isn’t as big as I’d like either, since I can eat quite a bit, and I didn’t see a bigger size on the menu nor did the waitress say anything about it. The herbs and sprouts aren’t the freshest I’ve seen. The rest of the food looks average as best; I didn’t order anything else so I can’t say for sure. The service was… okay. Definitely kind of stand off-ish. Like, «I might be serving you food right now, but I’d just give you the evil eye if I met you anywhere else.» It was fast, but I expect Phở to be fast, and the place wasn’t exactly packed. If you live nearby, this is good enough to go to if it’s convenient. However, if you’re looking for the best Vietnamese in the area, you can definitely skip this one.
