This place would be double live gonzo with a new location with better parking and or a drive thru. Great food great portion at a good price point. This is like momma did it.

Great place for a start to the morning. I wasn’t sure what to expect when we first drove up, and walking in, you may not be sure what to do next. It’s simple — you line up and order your breakfast. The staff is friendly, and willing to take their time with you, even if there are people waiting. Just about everything starts with their biscuits, and those are awesome. I had the eggs and sausage, and my son had the friend chicken, both on biscuits. We were satisfied, and filled for a very reasonable rate. They also seem to have 2 sizes of lemonade and iced tea; medium(regular) and large(«huge pail»). We took the latter, and still had lemonade left hours later. But it was good lemonade, and I’m pretty pleased with the overall place. We’ll definitely be back.

Moved to Dacula about a year ago and every time I would drive by Amy’s in the morning it would be packed no matter what time. I drive a big truck so I didn’t really want to pull in the tight parking lot, but let me tell you what, that was the best right blinker I ever put on in my truck. I now go there every morning for breakfast that they are open. Everything is always fresh and it is quite frankly the best breakfast I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Bacon, Eggs, Chicken, Tenderloin, Gravy, Grits, Biscuits, its all amazing. Personal customer service that calls you by your name and asks about your family. There is not one thing on the menu that is not excellent. Amy, Sheryl, Amy’s Momma, and the crew in the back. All top notch!

This is our local family favorite for breakfast. Delicious country cooking and you absolutely cannot beat the value. Be sure you are hungry because the portions are large. Nothing fancy, but food is the best!

Amy Lafayes has been a Dacula favorite for a while now and the food has always been the same… good, greasy and fast. My favorite meal of the day is breakfast and they know how to do it. If your looking for fru fru fruit and bagels or quiche and omelets this ain’t your place. But if a chicken biscuit dipped in gravy like grandma used to make is your thing, stop in. The eggs… yummo. Bacon… bacony. Biscuits like little puffs of flour from heaven. The tenderloin is one of the best I’ve ever had. just be sure to take cash cause they don’t take cards anymore. You won’t need much though because unlike some of the other places around, Amy Lafayes is reasonably priced.

I love this place. The owner and people who work here are so freaking friendly. They are so nice. Feels like home when your in here. They are very inviting. I’ve been coming here for a few months now. I love the cafeteria style set up. Don’t come close to closed food starts to run out. Get here early. I always order the chicken egg and cheese biscuit with bacon. It’s huge! Very delicious. The last time I came they ran out of chicken so I had to get a pork chop instead. Wasn’t looking forward to that but it was good. Tender. Very affordable food. Sandwiches are about $ 4 bucks depending on what your getting. This place really has earned all 5 stars!

Please note: This has been in draft mode for a year.(I must do better.) So, I don’t even know if they’re still open. I came in just before closing… usually not a good thing… but for here it didn’t matter. The food AND service were still great! I got a chicken biscuit(I mentioned Richard, who is responsible for most of the pictures… Thank you Richard!) and she said he gets the chicken. :-) It was soooo good! Seasoned perfectly, fresh, hot, and a little crunchy around the edges… just the way I like it! I also had grits and eggs. Both good. The grits were just slightly more loose than I like them, but still good. So I won’t knock a star off for that… after all they were about to close. Thank you, Amy, for a great first experience! I WILL be back! Side note: 3 people came in right at 11(one at 11:02) and they received the same quality service as if they had come in right at opening.

Best chicken, bacon, egg n cheese biscuit in Gwinnett county! Grits are smooth, creamy and delicious. Also did i mention how affordable it is? Best breakfast for your dollar. I cannot stress enough that you need to come here for breakfast at least once in your life. The ambiance is that of a low key old school neighborhood diner and the food is the definition of soul-food. It warms your soul and makes you feel right at home.

Country. Nice people serving mediocre food. Biscuits were just OK, not buttermilk, very flat, and not any crust/crumb. The gravy looked right, but was made without sausage, completely lacking flavor, and screaming for salt. The fried pie had a decent filling, but the crust was doughy, not flaky, and soggy throughout. Decent prices. Will not return.

Everything was DELISH. I do wish there were potatoes available. It was the best biscuits I’ve bought in some time. Definitely worth 10 min longer drive.

I think this place should stick to breakfast… Not that dinner was bad, it just wasn’t memorable. I did find the dinner portions to be small, which is opposite of their breakfast. First meal was meatloaf and the portion was almost the exact same size as the cornbread muffin the serve, almost half the portion at Cracker Barrel. The second thing was Salmon patties. When I got home and opened my meal there were only 2 patties in there, each about the size of a hamburger patty in a slider. I will definitely be back for breakfast, but will probably pass on dinner going forward.

Not my cup of tea. The breakfast was lacking flavor. The chicken on the biscuit was okay but everything was so bland. After all the great reviews I was just really disappointed.

I met a friend here for breakfast this morning, and recommended Amy Lafayes. They only have simple food, mostly biscuits, and it’s a very small place with only a few tables/booths, but there was a continuous line of customers most of whom got take out. Parking was very tight given the number of customers and small parking lot, but that’s always the sign of a great restaurant! First of all, and most important, the food was excellent. I got sausage and egg biscuits and grits, and it came on styrofoam plates, so don’t think fancy. Bottom line is that the food is excellent, and the attractive young lady serving the food(Amy I assume) is very easy on the eyes ;-) If you ever find yourself in Winder, I highly recommend Amy Lafayes for breakfast — 5 stars — for excellent food, fast service, at a great price. Thanks for breakfast Amy(and crew).

I know it may be a little soon for an update, but I have to say how please I am with the steak, egg & cheese biscuit. I’ve always traveled down to Martin’s in Norcross when I crave this type of biscuit, but now I finally have an excellent Steak Biscuit in my back yard. What is even better is this biscuit is ONLY $ 3.55. Shut the front door!!!
I am also glowing with excitement because not only did Amy mention to me that she read my previous review, but has also decided to add potatoes to the menu! Can I get a hallelujah?! I rarely write updates to my previous reviews… but Amy LaFaye’s continues to excite me and I just want to tell people about every little new thing I discover here. Looking forward to those potatoes Amy :-) You sure know how to show a brutha luv! If they are as homemade good as I’m anticipating, I would like to discuss possible renting out a section of the restaurant for me to move in! Cuz if you continue making good biscuits and now potatoes… I ain’t leavin’!!!
