We stopped by for burger night on the way to Auburn. This was a great casual setting with fantastic burgers and very reasonable prices. If you want any type of burger-beef, chicken, vegetable, or black bean, this is your place! Great menu options… don’t miss the corn fritters with honey mustard which are a specialty. It wasn’t crazy busy when we were there and we were seated right away, but the server was very slow to come over. That was the only negative, but when you are traveling, it wastes time. Overall, I’d go back, especially on burger night!

Been to Niffers many times and it is generally fairly good for a casual place especially away from a city. Took my Mom for dinner on Tuesday bingo night four times recently. The last outing, however, the food was just plain bad. My burger tasted frozen. It had a strong taste and was tough. My Mom’s fried chicken sandwich had a wafer-thin fried chicken breast that also looked to have been a frozen pre-battered item whereas om the past the chicken breast has been plump and seemingly hand dredged at the restaurant. Maybe just a bad night. Service from Allie was still excellent.

Decent bar food. Decent prices. They had live «music» that I would describe as irritating. It was outside where we unfortunately sat.
Nice location. Crowded. Loud. They have outside games for kids, which could be great if you have young kids. Parking was very very tight…
I’m not thrilled, but if someone wanted to go, I would go back.
They seem to have a good business, it just didn’t resonate with me.

Fun place by the lake. Diverse menu, great prices. There are a number of games out in the courtyard area. There are 3 decks (2 covered) and they are dog friendly (dog on leash and you have to dine at one of the decks). Entertainment several times a week. There was a good crowd here tonight and they were on a wait at the door. Trivia was fun, would have been more fun if I had won…
The menu has a lot of meat/chicken/fish choices but a good selection of dishes for the non-carnivores.
Jessica was my server — attentive, my food arrived timely and she never let my beverage get empty. Peyton was working the deck too and she had great teamwork with Jessica, I am appreciative of both of their efforts! Jessica even brought me a dish of water for my dog.
Kudos to this place and their staff!

My kids love Niffers on the lake. I think they enjoy the games outside more than anything. I enjoy the laid back atmosphere and they have a good drink menu. I’d go five starts, but I haven’t found my «go to» Niffers menu item.

Even if you aren’t on your way to Auburn, it’s worth the short drive from Birmingham to enjoy a fun lunch or dinner at Niffer’s Place at the Lake. Come with a group, or come with your date. Either way, you’re sure to enjoy the food and the atmosphere.
Take your time with the menu, because you’ll find so many choices. So many burgers and signature sandwiches make it hard to decide. But I went with one of my favorite selections — fish tacos. I enjoyed every bite!
It was way too cold to consider their outside seating options, but I want to come back once weather is warmer. Live music and strings of lights make the outside patios and porches look like fun is ahead for customers once spring gets here.

Niffers is a fun place to go. They have lots of events throughout the week and live music on the weekends during the lake season. The «bar food» is pretty good. I’ve been eating here for years and have never ventured into the «dinner» style entrée section of the menu. My advice is to stick to the wings and sandwiche type fare.

Oscar’s used to own the road but the last two trips to both spots I now saw Niffer’s is the best. Wait staff is engaged and does a great job at Niffers. At Oscar’s you seem to have to ask for service and the quality at Oscar’s is gone — too bad. If you want some corn nuggets then you might as well go to the place with energy and a full bar. Niffers is now the best on the east end of the Lake. (you should also try Chucks marina pizza)

Not at all impressed with this place ordered the Alfredo chicken pasta noodles were crunchy in the middle. The bar is a joke. Ordered a drink off the menu and they screwed that up. Never ever eat there again.
